Hi this is Tutor Nick P and this is Verb Phrase 90. The verb phrase today is
come away with. Okay. Let's take a look at the note here. If someone comes away with
something he or she succeeds in winning something or in getting something that
is desired. Okay. Let's look at example number one here. After the Academy Awards
was over, that movie came away with four Oscars. Yeah we always hear this around
Academy Award time. Maybe they were nominated for a lot more.
Maybe they were nominated for seven or eight or nine, but they won four. So they
got four Oscars or they got four Academy Awards because of course Oscar is just
another nickname for Academy Award . Okay. Le's look at number two. After the
midterm elections , the Democratic Party came away with enough seats to win back
the house. The Republicans came away with enough seats to hold on to the Senate.
Okay. You could use it both ways. Number three. The last one here. After selling
that stock, he came away with a profit of over 30% . So whatever price he, he put
into it he got more than 30% back. So that would be a really good profit on a
stock. Anyway I hope you got it. I hope it's clear. Thank you for your time.
Bye-bye.
