This idiom could also sometimes be heard as down one's alley to have the same meaning. So it's kind of ironic you could say up one's alley and down one's alley to mean exactly the same thing. All right. Let's continue here. If something is up one's alley. It is very suitable in matching ones interest. You know things you like or one's abilities. Ones skills. Okay. Let's take a look at example number one here. He would like that new Spider-Man video game. Anything to do with superheroes is right up his alley. So that's his interest. He's really into superheroes or superhero video games, superhero movies or anything to do with that. That's up his alley. Yeah. Often one would try to buy somebody a gift and you might say, well, that gift would be perfect for him. That's right up his alley Yeah. That's, that's the things he's into. That's what he's interested in. All right. So let's continue. Let's look at number two. That job sounds right up your son's alley. He majored in that subject in school. He is very interested and knowledgeable about anything to do with that field. So this could be a job that could be up someone's alley. You think they'd be perfect for it. They have interest and they know about it. So it would be up their alley and now let's look at this last little note here. The phrase 'up my alley' used to refer to one's home turf. You know the area around where one used to live or anything that is pleasing and familiar to someone. So you can kind of see where the origin might have come from. You know up your alley. Like where you live. What you know about. What you were interested in. Okay anyway, I hope it's clear. I hope you got it. Thank you for your time. Bye-bye.
