字幕列表 影片播放 列印英文字幕 Hi this is Tutor Nick P and this is Adjective Phrase 17. The adjective phrase today is old-school. Okay. Let's take a look at the note here. If we say that someone is old school, it is used in an approving way. Yeah. Usually we like, like this or like this about the person. A way to refer to someone or something that is old-fashioned or traditional. Yeah. So I guess it kind of alludes to the idea this was the old way that you learned how to do things and you believe in, you trust that way more. You're still old school. You still prefer to follow that way or that way of thinking. So let's look at the first one. Example number one here. My girlfriend's parents have old school thinking. If I sleep over her house we must sleep in separate rooms. Yeah. They still believe this is the traditional way. You're not supposed to be in the same room or sleep in the same room until you're married or something like that. Okay. Or let's look at number two. Her uncle is very old-school in regard to money. He never spends money he doesn't have and he refuses to even own credit cards. Yeah. That's kind of rare today. That you find somebody that doesn't even have a credit card anymore. But maybe he believes that's not the way. He prefers the old way. The traditional way. Okay and number three. That teacher prefers to still use old-school methods. Yeah. We often hear old-school methods. In that way maybe she thinks the old way is better than some of these new ways that they're telling her to do it. Anyway, I hope you got it. I hope it was clear. Thank you for your time. Bye-bye.
