  • Nowadays, they started to make this creative stuff by hand.

  • This temple was established in 1729,

  • Also, there is a big park right in front of this temple

  • where people can enjoy their free time with their families and friends.

  • And the most important thing here

  • is the king boat that has a history of 300-year-old.

  • Allow me to introduce the Wan-nian Temple in Wanli.

    我現在跟妳介紹一下灣裡的「萬年殿」

  • Wanli Wan-nian Temple's full name is Wanli Dai-tian Temple.

    灣裡萬年殿 它的全名叫做「灣裡代天府萬年殿」

  • It is dedicated to the Lord Yeh, Lord Chu, and Lord Li.

    它主祀的是葉 朱 李三府千歲

  • This door god was painted by Master Tsai Tsao-ru.

    這個門神是蔡草如師傅畫的稿

  • He painted this piece personally.

    他親自做的擂金門神

  • And then, he hired Master Su Shui-chin and Master Su Hai-ping to carve it.

    再聘蘇水欽跟蘇海萍大師一起刻的

  • This temple worships Lord Yeh, Lord Chu, and Lord Li;

    萬年殿主祀葉 朱 李三府千歲

  • It's a kind of God in Taiwan.

    也就是臺灣的一種神明

  • And also, this door is very famous.

    同時 這道門非常有名

  • It's very thin,

    它非常薄

  • and it's the only door that was supervised by a very famous teacher here.

    而且也是這裡唯一一道名師監工的門

  • This way was first established by Master Tsai Tsao-ru.

    這種作法也可能是蔡草如老師首創的

  • He used a writing brush and white powder to make a blue print.

    用毛筆 白粉畫出初稿

  • And then he hired others to carve it.

    再請石雕師傅雕刻出來

  • This artwork is mainly made of stone,

  • and one thing that is very pitiful is that

  • because this stone is relatively soft,

  • after the winds blowing on the stone

  • it started to get really destructive.

  • If we want to preserve this stone art,

  • we have to pay a lot of attention on it.

  • When it comes to the King Boat,

  • it's one of the main features of Wan-nian Temple.

  • To put it simply,

  • it is a type of transportation used by nobles.

  • When Koxinga came to Taiwan from Fujian,

  • the boat they built was shaped exactly like this King Boat.

  • We hold a Taoist sacrificial ceremony.

    我們建醮是建王醮

  • After the ceremony,

    儀式完成後

  • it will go on a patrol.

    王船就會出巡

  • Our King Boat is preserved by its ancient shape.

    王船是依古代的船隻形狀維護

  • Every time we have a Taoist sacrificial ceremony,

    每次建醮

  • the King Boat needs to sail on the water,

    王船如果出去要下水的話

  • and we have to repair it.

    不整修不行

  • It is waterproof after we repair it.

    整修後 下水才不會漏水

  • When the Taiwanese people wanted to send Koxinga

    當臺灣人送鄭成功

  • and his son's coffins back to the Mainland China,

    以及他的兒子的棺材回到中國大陸的時候

  • they also used this boat, the King Boat,

    他們使用王船

  • to send them back as a respect.
