My friends in San Jose they tricked me into coming out and playing tennis so I fell in love with it. One day you think you're pretty good and one day you're not very good at all, know what I mean? That's kind of the part that keeps bringing us out here. Did I imagine myself playing tennis? No, no. Growing up tennis was a joke. I was a basketball, football, baseball guy. Tennis, golf, were for privileged I guess you could say but having my eyes opened to not only this sport but all the wheelchair sports activities that are out there it's truly amazing, truly truly amazing. - My name is Jessica Clear Davidson, I'm 23 and I've been playing tennis for about 2 and a half years. It's my first time in Arizona. I'm here cause I love tennis and I love sports. Before I was in a wheelchair I played a whole bunch of different sports and just really had a passion and then when I got in a wheelchair I was like that kinda dream is over but I found wheelchair tennis and I loved it and I've been playing ever since. When I first heard that you could play tennis in a wheelchair I was like what I don't think so, I need to see this to believe it but it was just like that feeling, that rush, that adrenaline of being able to play sports again was amazing. I was comin' home after every practice sore just everywhere everywhere and I'm like I don't know if I can do this, this is hard, this is painful at times, but my mom kept encouraging me, my dad kept encouraging me, stick with it, stick with it, and I did and so glad I did. I wanna see more women out playing tennis, we need more women, I want some good competition so come on out and play.
