That's because it's much harder than the last generation 因為這個處理器的發熱量比上一代Skylake處理器大得多 we called Skylake 但說實話 But to be honest 大多數的購機者並沒有足夠的預算來買一套頂級水冷散熱系統 Most builder don't really have enought budget 所以我在想 for these high-end water cooling system 有沒有什麼辦法給Kabylake處理器降溫 So, I'm wondering is there way to cool our Kaby Lake down 同時又不需要採用高端、昂貴的散熱系統? without using a high-end expensive cooling system 其實有兩種辦法 Actully there are two ways: 一種麻煩一點 另一種簡單一點 Go hard OR Go easy 麻煩一點的方法叫 "掀起你的頭蓋骨" (English subtitle provide by~ hthoo2008 ,Hong Kong) 我的意思是.... 對你的CPU開蓋 The tough to be a "Scalp breaker" 並將默認的矽脂更換為更好的導熱材料 I mean diligent CPU (Sorry I'm not sure) 比如 這裡我們使用了液態金屬 and replace the stock thermal compound with a better one 這已經是給Intel處理器降溫的一種老方法了 In this case, we use some liquid metals 自從Intel在頂蓋和核心之間 This is actually an old way to cool your Intel (Toothpaste factory) CPU down (Or may be you can try to use toothpaste to cool down XD) 使用了普通矽脂代替之前的釬焊作為填充物 Since Toothpaste factory started to use normal thermal compound 謝(吊)謝(你)你(老)了(母) 英特爾~ between IHS and "Dine" instead of "soda"(Sorry again, I'm not sure!) 但是 這實際上有一定的風險 0Oh~ Thank (Fuxk) you Intel ! 如果你沒開好的話 But to be clear, this can be a risk if you don't do it properly 而且就算工具和材料都不貴 And although the material quite cheap, 還是需要你花點小錢 然後在家等幾天快遞 you well cost your couple bucks in a few days of delivery 所以 有沒有免費又快速簡便的方式 So, is there any free immediately way to cool your Kaby Lake down? 來給Kaby Lake降溫呢? The answer is YES! (That's why you are watching this video!) 答案是一定的 And that is why I called in easy way~ 那就是我所說的 "簡單的方法" What we are using is a normal air cooler with 4 heat pipes 我們使用的是普通的四導熱管散熱器 First, I gona overclock this 7700K to 5GHz 首先 我會將這顆7700K超頻到5GHz So I can show you how hot is it 這樣你就知道 Even after using liquid metal between "itust and dine" (Sorry, guess it by yourself!) 即使更換了液態金屬 它可能仍然很熱 Now the core voltage is 1.32 現在的核心電壓是1.32V After running Prime95 for awhile 在執行了一下P95烤機後 Temperature grow to nearly 80 ℃ CPU溫度上升到了將近攝氏80度 Can you imagine how hot it could be 你能想像 如果我不開蓋 If I didn't "deli" CPU 這個CPU會有多熱嗎? So now let's try some easy step 所以現在呢 我們就來嘗試一些輕鬆降溫的方法吧 Okay~ Let's step into BIOS and find this PLL voltage 好的 現在我們進入BIOS This might be OC menu or Voltage menue or whatever you might need some time find it 找到PPL電壓 If you have overclocked the old socket 775 CPUs 這個選項可能在OC設定 you might know that adding PLL voltage could be helpful when overclocking basic clock frequency 電壓設定 或者....別的什麼地方 But remember this is Kaby Lake 可能得花點工夫才能找到 And we are only changing multiplier for overclocking 如果你有玩過775平台CPU超頻 We don't need to push PLL voltage in order to stabilize our basic clock frequency 那你可能知道在超BCLK頻率的時候 So we can even pull it down to may be 1.15 適當的加點PLL電壓是很關鍵的 The default setting 1.3 V Let's see if 1.150 works 但請注意 這是Kaby Lake處理器 Standard! Did you see that? 所以我們只需要超倍頻 Straight down to 64℃ 不需要透過加PLL電壓以維持BCLK頻率的穩定性 That is what I'm talking about 甚至我們可以把PLL電壓給降低一些 Now might be you're wondering if pulling down PLL voltage could be helpful for CPU cooling 比如說1.15V Why should I not decrease it more? 默認是1.2V Well~ You can decrease it more but a low PLL voltage may call unstable results 我們來看看1.15V能不能成功 For 7700K, I guess you might want to stay above 1.15 老哥 穩! 你看到了嗎 If really want to push it harder, remember to run Prime98 stress tests to ensure stability 直接降到64度左右了 Well that is what this video all about 這才像話嘛 If you like it push the like button and if you dislike it...
