  • Hello again, this is Lynn and Mai

  • Hi

  • Today we will be bringing another candy making video.

  • For those who do not know us, we are a hand crafted candy shop located in Montreal, Canada

  • Please enjoy the show

  • We are gonna make a pink colour candy! It's gonna be a cute little animal from the farm.

  • You can guess which animal it is

  • And its flavour

  • So now we are adding the colour, as you can see the candy is extremely hot. It evaporates the water from the colour as soon as we put it in.

  • This is a citric acid we are adding into the candy.

  • It makes the candy taste not bland.

  • It balances out the sweet taste, and the sourness of the fruit.

  • At this stage, we are cooling off the candy, on the granite table, to a degree we can work with.

  • By massaging the candies like this, or folding them

  • Uh, we're mixing the colours and the acid

  • It gives them a really good texture.

  • Alright, this piece is ready to go

  • So Mai is now gonna stretch the smaller pieces of candy with her hands.

  • On the hot table.

  • So now I'm gonna stretch this big piece of pink candy on the hook

  • So this is the process of candy pulling, or uh candy stretching

  • By doing this, we're folding air bubbles inside the candy, so it makes the candies very crunchy when you eat them.

  • At this stage, the candy is still extremely hot

  • so we have to wear lots of gloves

  • 199

  • 200

  • So, for those having guessed now, what we are doing today

  • We are gonna make a batch of cherry flavoured candies

  • The design of the candy today is another animal, its a farm animal

  • It's a little pig.

  • So we're gonna start off by making the pig's nose first

  • So we're making the pig's nose

  • We already have what's inside the nose

  • Just gonna add a little outline to it

  • So now the nose is complete

  • Here's what it looks like

  • It's cute, right guys?

  • Now that the nose is complete, we're gonna move on to the eyeballs of the pig

  • See, we just make one eyeball and then we cut it into two

  • So now we're gonna have two identical eyeballs

  • So now, we've finished the eye, this is what it looks like

  • And our next plan is to assemble

  • the eyes and the nose together

  • So now, we've finished the ear

  • And we're gonna assemble everything very very soon

  • Right now, I'm making the outline for the pig

  • It's a really really

  • hard piece that I'm trying to shape

  • The candy at this stage

  • even though we've been working on it for almost an hour

  • is still very very hot

  • Now we're gonna make this candy small

  • It will be a really giant candy to eat on its own right now

  • So with the help of gravity

  • the candy will stretch on it's own

  • and become smaller and smaller

  • that's how we transfer a big big candy into smaller pieces of candy

  • like this

  • Thank you for watching the video

  • if you liked the candies, you can order them online

  • at Candylabs.ca

  • We now also offer candy workshops where you can make your own candies

  • for more information, you can call us in-store or send us an email

  • Thank you once again, see you next time

  • Bye!
