ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR MIA WOODRUFF, QUT BIOFABRICATION AND TISSUE MORPHOLOGY GROUP: Here at QUT the Biofabrication and Tissue Morphology group is really pioneering new and innovative ways to maximise the impact of 3D printing in medicine. PROFESSOR SAGADEVAN MUNDREE, QUT CENTRE FOR TROPICAL CROPS AND BIOCOMMODITIES: QUT is focused on developing more resilient and nutritious chickpea and mungbean. ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR BEN UPCROFT, AUSTRALIAN CENTRE FOR ROBOTIC VISION: QUT Robotics at the Science and Engineering Faculty is unique because we create robots that see to enable robots that do. PROFESSOR GORDON WYETH: We're educating students and the wider community in science, technology, engineering and maths. Our courses are practical and relevant. We deliver on campus, online and in the real world. SANDI XIAN, QUT GRADUATE, IT CONSULTANT, KPMG: Practical learning and group based experience at QUT really helped me to interact with different clients as well as working in a team at KPMG. JOEL FERNANDES, QUT GRADUATE, MECHANICAL ENGINEER, AURECON: I think my favourite part about engineering is the fact that everything I design gets built one day and it's a very tangible outcome. I can see the building, I can walk around the building I designed and for me that's really rewarding. PROFESSOR GORDON WYETH: Our research in science, technology, engineering and maths is creating new knowledge with impact around the globe. PROFESSOR SAGADEVAN MUNDREE: We are using a native Australian resurrection grass as a source of strategies to enhance both drought and disease resistance in chickpeas. ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR MIA WOODRUFF: We're focusing on creating patient specific implants to treat adults and children who are suffering tissue loss as a result of traumatic accidents, tumour excisions or congenital birth defects. ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR BEN UPCROFT: Cotsbot is a robot that we designed and built from scratch from QUT Robotics research here to maintain and control Crown of Thorns starfish on our Great Barrier Reef. PROFESSOR GORDON WYETH: We're changing the world one idea at a time. Come and be part of the team. KATRINA BOURKE, CURRENT QUT GEOLOGY STUDENT: One of the really great things that I found was the Natural Resources Society student committee. That real sense of community that it fostered I found really, really valuable. JOEL FERNANDES: The biggest project I've been involved with is the Sunshine Coast University Hospital. It's basically a brand new hospital that's being built on the Sunshine Coast and it's probably one of the biggest in the Southern Hemisphere being built right now. PROFESSOR SAGADEVAN MUNDREE: The advantage of studying at QUT is you have exposure to world expertise, a range of technologies to deal with the global challenges. ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR MIA WOODRUFF: Now is an exciting time to join this cutting edge research, to really be part of the impact for improving the quality of life for people all around the world. PROFESSOR GORDON WYETH: This is where innovation happens. Partner with us and help make an impact in the real world.
