  • got all kinds of wonderful music and of course great podcast for you to enjoy

  • download and share new poll been really busy the Oregon legislators also

  • considering a bill 1591 that would allow medical club to make numerous other

  • changes to the medical law last week our show was all clips from a rally back

  • Monday a week ago when I think there are some great speeches in last week's show

  • but there's going to be another rally at the state Capitol on the 23rd talking

  • pet which is a week from Tuesday talking about the arts Tuesday action talking

  • about the changes and also going in the lobby the legislature the marijuana law

  • panel joint session they like to you

  • humorously call it that's what it's really called the Joint Committee on

  • cannabis and measure 91 implementation they have their Tuesday hearings coming

  • up on Tuesday as well so it's good chance to get in there and tell the

  • legislators who in charge of drafting these laws what you think about their

  • changes how we need to protect medical marijuana and how we need to realize

  • that marijuana is not alcohol

  • you know it doesn't deserve to be treated like alcohol no one dies from

  • marijuana like they die from alcohol and the most dangerous thing about marijuana

  • are the laws against it so we are due to get down there right to state

  • legislators and support this if you're across the river in washington support

  • that senate bill that will allow candidates to be shared as well plus

  • alcohol on so many different levels is just damaging to your body . that's true

  • liver kidneys your eyes your brain cells were also your blood pressure even in

  • the number of days that you might stay on this planet whereas utilizing

  • Canada's helps you so many different ways including for most people probably

  • increasing longevity

  • well that was one of the things I learned from Jack here I thought was

  • really most amazing I didn't believe it when he first said he did he said that's

  • an outrageous thing to say people who smoked marijuana and cigarettes with an

  • average of seven years longer than people who just both cigarettes at

  • people who smoke marijuana and nothing else but a live longer than people who

  • smoke nothing and as jack pointed out because it cuts back on high blood

  • pressure diseases like stroke and heart attack and putting up with your

  • relatives in reading about congress stress strain I oxidant too so it helps

  • cut down on cancer like several stories we have the first part of a show right

  • you know we are taking your phone calls tonight we have a couple caller standing

  • by

  • so we're going to take all welcome the show caller

  • appreciate everything that you've done was like my question is I read an

  • article about treating blood might prove to you that I told him he could talk

  • about that are our Portland outdoor garden had an early infestation abroad

  • mice and help me figure out what they were

  • we treated them and knocked them out about two to three weeks into the flour

  • cycle but it cut our production of flowers by about 50% fortunately we

  • haven't figured it out you know we would have had any flowers at all but they're

  • awful little things they're microscopic you need a six-year power microscope to

  • be able to see them even so what I noticed at first were the the pistols

  • the little hairs on the the but flowers growing they were just brown instead and

  • that was really the first Sinai I had at the plus then there was this cutting of

  • the leaves where the Leafs didn't show the spot old thing that you get with it

  • with red spider mite which you can barely see with your eyes but these are

  • just microscopic little bugs awful you know i i intend to use it

  • activating early added compost to your situation

  • activate was not enough activate will will wipe out mold and mildew but it

  • didn't help with the found this other clean green another biological control

  • that that finally ended up are you human compost heap of that now just clean

  • green

  • ok yeah I think something like that happening need my phone was doing before

  • I thought so teachers how ya there you like I said you can't possibly see them

  • with your I yeah you can't even see them with the 20 power microscope

  • magnification you gotta go to a sixty power magnification if you want to see

  • him very well you need something even stronger than that will help

  • hey you're welcome hopefully you don't have a friend of mine in central organ

  • called them cannabis ebola and so I was at a loss as to what was causing this

  • this problem with our our flower crops here in Portland fortunately we didn't

  • see it in our other guards we have another caller standing by welcome to

  • show caller

  • at that line I've had two gardens infested with hippies lost all my but to

  • them I I have had a few thing is you know depends on how much you're growing

  • course but a pound of dried marijuana will wait twenty pounds when it's wet so

  • most of those hippies can carry way more than a hundred out and that's gonna be

  • maybe five pounds once it dries out but then they leave a trail of these you can

  • just follow our right to their door

  • you know what did you do you know we've actually seen a couple of to prison we

  • by calling police in having them arrested those sorts of pests can be

  • control yet if you have a question or comment for us tonight you call us at

  • that number there on your screen its 50 3288 4442 thats 5032 a 4442 we have a

  • film clip tonight that's very entertaining film are fairly controversy

  • scoundrel out there and he's got to show real time but last week on real time he

  • lit up a joint and smoked it on in real time audio real-time course you know I

  • don't want to send you guys away but HBO runs the live version of real-time here

  • on the West Coast right at eight o'clock but they repeated a lot and you can also

  • play it on demand if you want but the FCC came down on him very hard they find

  • him 1.7 million dollars yes 1.7 million dollars that I don't know many people

  • who can pay that kind of pain that much money for joy I guess you're right wow

  • well I hope it was a good day to we will have that clip here in just a second but

  • first we have a caller standing by so go ahead take that first you get a

  • kickstart programme for that I don't think so what the show caller

  • I call Paula my name is vivian I'm from Southeast Portland I'm getting ready to

  • go on a las vegas ladies weekend and I'm wondering haha yeah I'm wondering what

  • the laws are heading out of PDX into Las Vegas and I do have a medical marijuana

  • card as a caregiver they have reciprocity now in Las Vegas so your

  • medical marijuana card I'm not sure about a caregiver card that might not

  • work as well as a patient card so if you're a patient I would say yeah you

  • can go in there and you can actually buy cannabis on in Las Vegas now as a

  • another state patient and their setting up facilities and I think one of the

  • even opening up on the Las Vegas Strip but that's for a patient I'm gonna have

  • to further research to find out about caregivers I'll call you next Friday

  • well you know I can tell you that the Portland Airport doesn't want you to fly

  • out of state with cannabis however they're not looking for cannabis if

  • you're at the airport and I would recommend just carry you know making

  • shirts smell proof it's not gonna smell up the whole airplane I've done that

  • before but you can carry it through customs and I mean through the security

  • and they don't care but when you get there you could buy if you're patient

  • thank you very much welcome to Vegas do they have medical marijuana slot

  • machines you can play where you are when fifteen pounds of the

  • be good for how would you put it but in that little machine BB blow smoke in

  • there for every year

  • three bugs book five pounds pop out they will give you cheap drink put money in

  • their machines that much I know but you Vegas does it say why don't I don't go

  • very often I last time I went I won money so I'm not gonna break that I

  • can't do better than that i think i won

  • and everything else you did there just ate there right now no really helped a

  • lot of patients get their medical marijuana permits last time I we have

  • this film clip from Bill Maher's about seven minutes long

  • wow if you can do it in seven minute but you step outside the TV studio cuz I

  • want to do it in here anyway stay tuned

  • Mr here's the clip he was fined one point seven million dollars for this

  • little second time in my life and finally new rules for this Valentine's

  • Day people who love marijuana

  • have to do me this favor stop treating it like you could never lose it you know

  • not a week goes by without someone asking me to get into the pot business

  • with them don't get left behind they tell me we can make a fortune selling

  • marijuana our Delhi Delhi Belly everybody seems 100% certain that it

  • completely weed legal America on the model of gay marriage is right around

  • the corner

  • lovers say it's only legal in four states now but Bell the resting in a

  • fall like dominoes all the time you gonna fall like dominoes dominoes order

  • from dominos

  • ok grass progress doesn't just automatically snowball think of other

  • rights we never thought would be rolled back look what's happened with abortion

  • since 1991 81% of abortion clinics have closed in mississippi it's easier to get

  • good Thai food

  • in taxes yet to drive 500 miles and sit through an informational video where Ted

  • Cruz calls you a whore so too with part in 2013 la had nearly 700 dispensaries

  • but since then over 500 have been shut down and dispensaries still can't get

  • banking services is there to ski the banks not the dispenser

  • and we still do not have a major politician who will simply say legalize

  • it nationally period a little pot is not very different from cigarettes and no

  • more dangerous than alcohol but it's a bad habit and this is what passes as

  • supported even though none of those statements are really true it's not a

  • bad habit it's a fantastic habit

  • anything you overdo it it's way different than cigarettes mainly not

  • linked to lung cancer and no more dangerous than alcohol try way way WAY

  • less dangerous somehow this is the year when everything from socialism to mass

  • deportation is on the table and voters love the authentic guys who speak their

  • minds but when it comes time for Congress to consider common-sense pot

  • legislation it's like smoking a joint with Woody Harrelson they just won't

  • pass it like gay marriage if the law changed but the war on drugs keeps

  • billions flowing to DEA agents and police and prison

  • and legal weed would mean Americans had an alternative to altering their mood by

  • downing oxycontin and Budweiser or as Rush Limbaugh calls at lunch I was

  • reading about a guy named Raymond schwab from kansas he's a gulf war veteran who

  • wanted to move to Colorado to treat his chronic pain and PTSD because while the

  • VA gave him lots of prescription drugs for him

  • pot is the only thing that actually works so Raymond thought moving to

  • Colorado where pot is legal and you could even grow it was a great idea

  • Kansas not so much they got wind of the move and took away his children now I'm

  • not a big fan of children

  • but I believe if you like yours you should get to keep them

  • New York

  • what happens when pot is legal in some states sort of legal and others and

  • completely illegal in places like Kansas where frankly they could use we can't

  • leave this up to the states because states rights is always code for taking

  • away rates

  • as an excuse to deny black people education or voting or outlawed gay

  • marriage or abortion why do they accept it with this would only some people have

  • it and some don't

  • that's not a quality that's wifi I can't think of another example of a drug

  • that's legal in one state but not in another it's not a tenable situation

  • because when I leave Colorado Oregon Washington Alaska my back pain doesn't

  • go away or whatever it is I have

  • I'm getting I use medical marijuana because my third eye has glaucoma

  • private property

  • is a long way from a done deal I know you're tired I am to of making the same

  • old obvious spot arguments like how pot is less dangerous than other legal adult

  • activities but somehow you can drink alcohol you can smoke cigarettes you can

  • do that thing we are caught up your oxygen with a built-in masturbate which

  • is not only dangerous but take a dreamy it'll get you kicked out of Macys mens

  • wear like show off and back on the 26

  • Phoenix April 10th

  • injections help make for a nice dream killer Mike

  • Margaret Cho and what you're going to join us

  • our time

  • but one of his scope analyst smoked marijuana within their just last week

  • and they the FCC came in and find him even though you know this is on HBO its

  • not broadcast television so hopefully he'll fight to find find him 1.7 million

  • dollars for that we'll see what we do take your phone calls if you have a

  • question about marijuana are him call us at 503 288 4442 and I think we still

  • have a caller standing there like if I fired up a joint with the SEC come in

  • here and $5 no no phone calls gun charges no I don't I was just the same

  • that I like to fire up just to see if they treat us the same way they did bill

  • I don't think we would I don't let you know I have a prized on the show brought

  • the volcano vaporizer here 10 years ago

  • no no they said don't do it but we could take a video of you smoking marijuana

  • off-camera and out of the studio anyway I don't know what that would do I don't

  • think there are a lot of the watches smoke pot of boiling lol party if they

  • want to see that heralds and I never pass I'll tell you will

  • Woody Harrelson passed to me i i got to stay at his house for three days back

  • into what was in 1995 and he passed quite a bit of that mean that I was with

  • him when he planned it for him seated Kentucky June 1st 1996 dating Madonna

  • that no no he was with his current wife no I mean you I never met and married

  • with children

  • you're on TV I just figured you know you have one of those wild jet-setting life

  • no no you have that somehow but anyway there it is the thing that led to a 1.7

  • million dollar fine against mister mark but we ought to have another call

  • welcome the show caller question if you use the medicals you know like to Carmel

  • it felt like 10 gram whatever this in the Karmal yeah usually its budget in

  • milligrams but yeah okay and then say you'd like to see for clock and then two

  • hours later you drink some strong wine and you passed you know like lightheaded

  • and dizzy and rapid heartbeat stuff from that it's possible you know when you can

  • differently than when you inhale it cannabis has been shown to generally

  • lower blood pressure for most people so it might affect your heart rate

  • especially if you have a lot of anxiety associated with that you can take too

  • much pretty easily sometimes you might not feel at all sometimes it's way too

  • strong

  • okay thank you very much

  • there such a difference in the way people digest you know depends on what

  • your your jet biome

  • the bacteria in your intestines Powell it processes that that part of it so

  • change but we have another caller welcome to show caller hello question

  • about water ok and how would you do with the home when there might be children

  • prisoner visiting or something like that

  • best keep it under lock and key you know you don't want the kids to pick it up

  • lock and key and I figured out how it taken apart so short and they're like he

  • may be yeah that's that's the best you can do I guess just eat them all up so

  • there's nothing there to eat you know but I was taught was able to figure it

  • out from age 5 forward my mom with sometimes you like chocolate covered

  • cherries because she really loved those is made very clear that was for bob that

  • the touch of cashews or just for dad don't touch it meant as a child from age

  • 54 died 02 stood to leave them alone that are trying to hide them and put

  • them out of reach for the girls all excited to go all I gotta have it I

  • gotta have it just that as they look this is my Cheerios years i dont your

  • Cheerios you don't eat my candy got it and her child loves you and your child

  • will respect you if your child does it put your child in an orphanage you know

  • I would recommend that myself but yeah the best you can do is to lock it up are

  • explained it to them that this is cannabis and like like our calls for

  • adults cannabis is for adults to be part of the conversation so if you have a

  • question or comment for us tonight you can call us at 50 3288 4442 that's 50

  • 3288 4442 we have a video this was quite a bit older than that one that Bill

  • Maher was just from a week ago today but this other one is from 1942 from the

  • Department of Agriculture they had banned him

  • cannabis in 1937 but given the outbreak of World War Two and December of 1941

  • they needed rope

  • for the Navy for the war effort for victory that's what this is gonna show

  • all 40 minutes and 12 seconds now a little clip so here's hip for victory

  • was already in the service of mankind have been grown and China and elsewhere

  • in the east

  • for centuries prior to about 1850 all the ships that sail the Western seas

  • were rigged with temple growth in sales for the sailor no less than a month was

  • indispensable

  • gun frigate like our cherished all ironsides to go over sixty tons of him

  • already

  • including an anchor cable 25 inches in circumference

  • guns in their days are covered with hempen canvas indeed the very word

  • canvas comes from the Arabic word for him

  • and those days was an important crop in Kentucky and Missouri

  • then came future imported fiber cordage title and the culture of helping

  • American decline but now with Philippine an East Indian sources of help in the

  • hands of a Japanese and shipment of drugs from India curtailed American must

  • meet the needs of our army and navy as well as of our industry and 1942

  • patriotic farmers at the government's request

  • added 36,000 acres have seen an increase of several thousand percent goal from

  • 1943 as 50,000 acres have seen him

  • in Kentucky much of the seat held a courageous on river bottom land such as

  • this year over some of these fields are inaccessible except by boat plans are

  • afoot for a great expansion of the hemp industry as a part of the war program

  • this film is designed to tell farmers how to handle this ancient crop now

  • little known outside Kentucky in Wisconsin this is hemp seed be careful

  • how you use it legally you must have a federal registration and text and this

  • is provided for in your car or your agent about don't forget how commander

  • rich well-drained soil such as is found here in the Bluegrass region of Kentucky

  • or in central Wisconsin

  • it must be loose and rich in organic matter do

  • will grow good corn will usually grow hemp hemp is not hard on the soil and

  • Kentucky it has been growing for several years in the same row with this practice

  • is not recommended

  • a dense than she did

  • use the Canada thistle they couldn't stand the competition is a dodo

  • last half of the ground in good condition the following

  • text of the anchor grill the close of the road the better

  • these roads are spaced about four inches

  • this happens been broadcast either way it should be sewn picking up to go

  • asunder store

  • an ideal stand right height to be harvested easily enough to cut in

  • process

  • the best those on the right or to course and what it perceived campus planted in

  • heels like corn sometimes by hand the female far as inconspicuous but the male

  • flowers easily spotted and seed production after the problem has been

  • shared these male plan to cut out these are the seeds on a female plant to

  • harvest when the pollination and Kentucky help harvest comes in August

  • near the old standby has been lost over a creeper which has been used for a

  • generation or more

  • row solar curiously in Kentucky that harvesting is sometimes difficult which

  • may account for the popularity of the self break with a lateral straw

  • to some extent this machine works well in average

  • so here is our him flame of freedom this is the reason marijuana was made illegal

  • you know marijuana prohibition was never really about drugs it was always about

  • fuel and money and power and the continued to transition of economic and

  • political control you can take this oil port right into any diesel engine with

  • no conversion and turned the key and that's the reason it's illegal in when

  • we can grow him in that regard to its THC content but with regard to the

  • varieties that produced the most seeds we will not only wipe out a lot of

  • petroleum replace it with biofuel will also create food as a by-product because

  • when you press a ton of seeds your get 30% oil by way and so maker of him will

  • produce 300 gallons of oil and residual after its press six thousand pounds of

  • protein or food and the fiber is 25 tons of the woody core the herd fiber and 10

  • tons of the outer bast fiber for canvas row place in London so that's why it's

  • illegal

  • we like to remind our viewers we are taking your phone calls tonight if you

  • have a question for you can call us we got about eight minutes left you can

  • call us at 503 288 4442 and I think we have a caller standing by welcome to the
