  • Hi everyone, it's me Ann and you guys probably know by now

  • that we will be making jelly soaps

  • for today's do it yourself project.

  • I was inspired by from Lush and also

  • some of you guys have asked me to make this

  • in my last couple videos so here it is, guys.

  • I spent all day yesterday trying to come up with a recipe.

  • I tried so many different variations

  • and I finally came up with something that have the

  • consistency of jello and works just great like soap.

  • Yeah, this is basically bath soap but in jelly form.

  • It was inspired by Lush, if you guys are familiar with Lush

  • they have like these jelly soaps in their store

  • and they're just so fun, I think they like --

  • it makes taking a bath a lot more fun on a different level.

  • So if you have any kids, any one of you guys out there

  • who have kids that don't like taking a bath or shower

  • this is a great way to lure them into that.

  • Or, you know, for some of you who are going to baby showers

  • this year, Easter, you want to give some gifts to anyone

  • these make great gift givings.

  • You can put them into, like, cute little jars like this.

  • You can find cute jars from craft stores or collect, like,

  • sauce jars, whatever kind of jars you can collect.

  • So stick around if you guys want to

  • learn how to make some jelly soaps!

  • OK guys so let's start with materials

  • and for this we will need some jars

  • and you can find some cute jars from your local craft store

  • or just, you know collect sauce jars.

  • Next you will need some jojoba oil and some soap

  • you could use colored soap if you want

  • here I have clear soap from Trader Joes.

  • Next I will be using food colors

  • you don't have to use food colors

  • but I like this to look fun so of course I'd be using this.

  • And plus this is not harmful, you only need to use

  • one or two drops of food coloring

  • and it doesn't stain your skin.

  • Lastly is gelatine and this is the key ingredient that helps

  • things to make look like jello.

  • Basically, find something that's unsweetened and unflavored.

  • Alrighty, so before we do this make sure you pay attention

  • to the instructions in the back of your gelatin package

  • so mine says to use one package per cup of water.

  • So all together I will be using four cups of water

  • and four packages of gelatin.

  • Next I am just going to pour in a few drops of jojoba oil

  • and just stir this together and once that's stirred,

  • I'm going to go ahead and add in my soap.

  • I'm mixing two ounces of soap for everyone one cup.

  • And just make sure everything is mixed well.

  • Let it boil and then turn down the heat.

  • So in a separate bowl what I'm

  • going to do is pour in the gelatin

  • and then I'm going to pour the soaping mix into this.

  • And of course just stir it very well.

  • Make sure everything is mixed nicely.

  • Then go ahead and add in your colors.

  • Make sure to separate the colors.

  • You know, if you want more than one color

  • then maybe pour some out into another bowl

  • so that way you can have different colors going on.

  • OK so once your colors are mixed,

  • go ahead and pour it into the container to cool down.

  • What I usually do like to do is

  • scoop out the bubbles so that way the top can stay clear.

  • Once your soap turns into jello

  • go ahead and scoop that out and put it into a jar.

  • You can pour it into your jar and leave it just like that

  • but it kind of looks boring to me.

  • I like to scoop out the jelly so that way

  • it can create texture and reflect the light pretty nicely

  • and it just looks really interesting that way.

  • Thank you guys so much for watching, I truly appreciate it.

  • Don't forget to subscribe if you haven't

  • and please thumbs up this video for more DIYs

  • and to support my channel.

  • Don't forget to comeback every weekend,

  • I will try to make new videos for you.

  • Love you so much, ciao!
