Don't forget to check out all of the exclusive bundles Kraft Music has for your MOX, whether you're recording in a studio, or playing live, or just playing at home, check out the bundles and they have everything you need to get the most out of your instrument. [music playing demonstration] The MOX is Yamaha's newest addition to the MOTIF family. Now, there are two models: the MOX6 and the MOX8. The MOX6 is a 61-key non-weighted or synth-action keyboard weighing only 15 pounds. The MOX8 is an 88-key weighted version that gives you a full 88-key weighted keyboard and it's only 37 pounds in weight, so it's an extremely portable and lightweight 88-key keyboard. [music playing demonstration] The sounds in the MOX synthesizer come from Yamaha's MOTIF XS. This includes all the expanded articulation technology, eighteen different filter types, and all of the virtual circuit modeling effect processing technology as well. [music playing demonstration] The MOX is a great companion for any computer recording system. First, it has a four-input, two-output USB audio interface built right into the keyboard. In addition to that, you also have the ability to use it as a digital audio workstation remote controller for Cubase, Digital Performer, Logic or Sonar. The MOX uses an ASIO-compliant audio MIDI driver, so any software that is compatible with an ASIO driver will work with the MOX as a recording device. In addition to this, you also have a MOX editor which allows you to edit voices and edit mixes within the keyboard, so you can take anything you do inside the MOX and manipulate it, store it, change it inside your computer. [music playing demonstration] To get the most out of your playing experience with the MOX, you may want to add some additional foot pedals. This would be in the form of an FC7 volume pedal or an FC3, FC4 or FC5 foot switch pedal. [music playing demonstration] A great feature in the MOX is the ability to look for any particular type of sound according to its Instrument category. Now, I can do this by simply using the Category Search button. By pushing the Category Search button, I can then see different instrument categories on the screen by turning the Data dial. Once I've decided what particular instrument category I would like -- in this case I'm going to choose Guitar -- I can then pick a sub-category. Let's say that I would like to look for all the acoustic guitars, then all I would have to do is push the Enter button. And now every acoustic guitar sound that is inside the MOX is viewable on the screen. I can simply select it and play it by turning the Data dial, or if I would like to see the entire instrument name on the larger screen, I can simply hit Enter. When playing any keyboard, it's very important that if you would like to split the keyboard, layer the keyboard with another sound, or just play along with some type of drum groove, that it's easy to do. This is a new feature that's been built into the MOX and it's called Performance Creator. While in Voice mode, I can use Performance Creator to create a layer. This is done by selecting the sound I would like to start with -- and in this case, Piano -- and then simply hitting the Layer button in Performance Creator. I automatically am taken into Category Search and I am in a String category. If I don't want strings, if I would like to change the category that I would like to layer with, let's say a keyboard sound, and in this case I would like to layer it with an electric piano sound, all I do is select it using the Data dial and I am layered with an electric piano sound on top of it. Maybe I'd like to take this and layer with a Brass sound, I can select any particular brass category that I want, let's say Brass Ensemble, and I am instantly layered without having to do anything else than push one button to go in Layered mode. If I would like to split the keyboard in the MOX, all I have to do is use Performance Creator and push the Split button and my sound is instantly split half way across the keyboard. If I'd like to change that split point, I can simply highlight it on the screen, push the Shift button and select where the keyboard split point is designated. [music playing demonstration] So, that's the MOX music production synthesizer from Yamaha. It's a great keyboard for playing at home, for performing on stage or recording in a studio. It's highly portable, very affordable, has a built-in audio interface and has all the great sounds from the MOTIF XS synthesizer. I'm Tony Escueta from Yamaha and I am here at www.kraftmusic.com in Milwaukee. Thanks for watching. [music playing demonstration]
