When you receive your ES-100 you can expect to find in the box, of course the ES-100,

sustain pedal, the music rest, the owner's manual, and the power supply.

The ES-100 has a variety of grand piano tones. Some of them are brighter, and some of them

are darker, to suit a variety of styles of music. Let's take a listen to some of the

other grand piano sounds in the Kawai ES-100.

In addition to the grand piano sounds, you're also going to find a variety of electric piano sounds.

The ES-100 has samples of tine pianos, reed pianos, and FM pianos. These are sounds

you've heard in popular music throughout the 60's the 70's and the 80's.

The ES-100 also offers some organ sounds. A tone wheel organ as well as a cathedral organ.

The Kawai ES-100 will allow you to layer or combine two sounds. A common layer would be

piano and strings. Simply touch the button of the two instruments that I want to hear

at the same time and now I've created a layer.

ES-100 features a built in metronome to help with your time keeping during practice.

There's also a built in song recorder, you can record yourself playing and then listen to the piano play back.

There's also some built in lessons in the Kawai ES-100.

The Kawai ES-100 is equipped with MIDI in and out ports, and with the proper cable you

can interface with your home computer for use with software, such as recording software,

notation software, or educational software.

Did you know you can practice in headphones? There's headphone ports located just to the

left on the front of the piano. And once you connect your headphones to that port, the

speakers will automatically shut off. Allowing you to practice in private.

The Kawai ES-100 features a very stable very strong and consistent key action. This is

professional grade key action, and it feels great underneath my finger tips. You can truly

expressive with the action in the ES-100.
