字幕列表 影片播放 列印英文字幕 Welcome To Munich! This video will show you some of the highlights of our Old Town Walking Tour, available in full at BigBoyTravel.com Let's start by entering the city gates. Pedestrian only zones give you great shopping, from high end fashion to steins and cuckoo clocks. You will also fin tons for shops selling traditional clothing no matter what time of year it is. There are may beautiful churches in Munich, but our favorite is Asamkirche, which was built by two church building brothers as their show house and as you can see, has a very over-the-top interior. The brothers are often considered the masters of the Rococo movement. Nearby Saint Peter's Church has breathtaking views from its bell tower, but it's the jeweled skeleton of a mummified Saint that grabs our attention. Located in the center of Old Town is Marienplatz, which has been Munich's main square since the 1100s. Here you will find the Virgin Mary Column, the castle-like Old Town Hall, and the huge New Town Hall, called Neues Rathaus, which dominates the Square. The show at New Town Hall's famous Glockenspiel depicts events from Munich's Medieval past. Not far from Marienplatz is royal palace called Munich Residenz which was home to the Wittelsbach family who ruled Bavaria from 1180 to 1918. The Munich Residenz started as a small defensive castle built in 1385 called Neuveste and has grown over the centuries into the sprawling palace that you see today. Among the expansions, our favorite is the Antiquarium Hall which was built in the 1500s and is considered the largest Renaissance space North of the Alps. The Hall was built to showcase art, but has been used as a library and a festive dining hall. The impressive Treasury at the Munich Residenz is a must see. It contains a large collection of royal jewels and many other artifacts that the Wittelsbachs gathered, including some dating back to Ancient Egypt. In the Portrait Gallery of the former royal palace, you can see huge slashes on some of the paintings where they were quickly cut out of the frames to preserve them during World War 2 bombings. (music) Make sure to stop by the beautiful Baker's Mill Restaurant which is covered in vines and dates back the 1500s. And no trip to Old Town would be complete without a stop at the historic Hofbräuhaus. Here is what you can expect on your visit. (clapping & table pounding to We Will Rock You) (chanting to Hey Baby) (oompah band music) (singing) (glasses clinking) To read more about this walking tour, please visit BigBoyTravel.com And if you enjoyed our video please "like" it, share it with your friends, or leave us a comment.
