What up?
-
What up? That's better
-
so today is day twelve
-
One, two
-
and today is the last day of trip one
-
I can't believe it
-
everything went by so fast
-
uh, we went to Hokkaido, uh Akita, Iwate, and then Aomori
-
so if you guys haven't seen day one through eleven
-
please go ahead and check out day one through eleven
-
because we showed you so many good parts about Japan
-
good places to go to so please check that out
-
um
-
so once again this is the Odigo 47
-
um a project where I'll be vlogging every single day that I'm out traveling all 47 prefectures of Japan
-
so if you guys didn't know
-
um I'm going, I think I didn't explain this correctly actually in the beginning
-
so I'm going on thirteen trips
-
um covering all 47 prefectures
-
each trip is on average three to four prefectures
-
uh besides the last trip which is Okinawa
-
that would just be Okinawa
-
and this is the end of trip one
-
um trip two will start um March 1st
-
so I'll be leaving Aomori on February 19th
-
so I'll have about ten days rest um back in Tokyo
-
and then I'm off again on March 1st
-
March 1st will start uh Miyagi, Fukushima, Niigata, and Yamagata
-
so those four prefectures so I'll be back in the snow...lovely
-
um and this time I'll be accompanied by Kim Dao
-
um who will be right here
-
and uh Abroad in Japan uh uh Chris Broad from Abroad in Japan should be right here
-
so
-
kind of interesting we'll have you know different personas
-
different personalities on these vlogs again so stay tuned stay up to date
-
um if you guys missed all, you know, all of these past vlogs
-
please go and watch them
-
um today we woke up kinda early
-
um because we need to go get some apples from Aomori
-
because Aomori is famous for its apples
-
and we're gonna do some of that
-
we're gonna go to a museum in the morning
-
um and then I think we are done
-
we are gonna head back to Tokyo
-
um
-
sometime around twoish I believe
-
and that's the plan so I'll take you guys around and um
-
I'll see you guys in the VLOG!
-
What's up? so as you guys can see, I'm not in the car anymore
-
cuz we don't have the car anymore
-
Yay!
-
Fortunately
-
Jun's happy cuz he doesn't have to drive anymore
-
What up? So we made it to the apple store
-
and look how many apples there are
-
what up? we are heading to the museum right now
-
the nebuta warasse museum
-
so we're heading to the nebuta museum
-
and um it's pretty distinct
-
it's red
-
the only red thing around this area
-
we're here in the nebuta museum in Aomori
-
and as you can see behind us, we have these gorgeous (?)floats
-
these are the nebuta
-
this festival is originally thought to have been a natural blend of local
-
festivals here among the farmers and Chinese lantern fesivals
-
like tanabata
-
the purpose of this festival was originally to wake people up during
-
the summer
-
the farmers and that's where the word nebuta comes from
-
it comes from a word neburi which means sleep
-
this festival is held every summer at the beginning of August
-
it's around 300 years old
-
and these (?) behind us will be um driven around on trucks
-
where people will actually push along throughout the festival
-
so it looks like they're floating
-
yeah, it takes about thirty men and it's like four tons
-
it's really, really heavy
-
wow
-
I really want to come back and see it
-
here the actual festival just here in this museum
-
nothing's more exciting
-
it's really breathtaking just looking at these here
-
J. U.N. J. U. N.
-
so as you guys saw
-
that was the nebuta museum
-
um
-
Rachel and Jun will be making a video on their channel
-
more in depth video so check it out
-
and um yeah I hope you guys enjoyed it
-
it was actually really interesting, those things are really cool
-
(jumble of words)
-
we got to see one in the making
-
that's awesome
-
so um
-
yeah, now we're heading to get some lunch so
-
uh I'll see you guys in the RESTAURANT!
-
so we made it and it smells like fish
-
lovely
-
what up? We're in a restaurant getting lunch
-
and um
-
at this restaurant there's a shamisen performance for me so I can't wait for that
-
the um maguro first
-
cuz I'm a maguro man
-
whoa
-
that was really good
-
so that was really tight
-
um
-
I hope you guys enjoyed that
-
the food is really good
-
that tuna was like (?) tuna
-
and it was tasty as a...potato
-
we just finished lunch and it was bomb
-
and uh the performance was great, the food is great
-
and uh now we are heading towards Aomori Station to
-
finish up the exploring with, exploring Aomori with
-
Rachel and Jun video
-
and then we're gonna head back to Tokyo
-
go ahead
-
oh we are just talking about how when we met the first time
-
yeah so
-
I think it was a YouTube party
-
it was at a YouTube uh bar, the Roppongi
-
The Roppongi YouTube event
-
so, so Jun did an impression of what, of how I approached him
-
so I want to see it real quick, hold on
-
so Jun, Jun
-
Yeah?
-
So I'm you, you're me
-
Sure
-
How did I approach you?
-
Uh, you were holdin' like a beer or something
-
I was holding a beer?
-
You walked to me like this
-
and uh, and then I don't know, the way you were standing
-
the aurora that you had
-
around you goin' on
-
like you looked so bulky
-
and like I could see you muscle
-
so I was like okay, this man might be shorter than me
-
but I should never piss this guy off
-
We are heading back to Tokyo!
-
So that is day twelve, that is the end of trip one
-
I'm goin' on thirteen trips
-
um, I explained this in day eleven but yeah, I'll just explain it again
-
I'm goin' on thirteen trips
-
um to all these thirteen trips will cover all 47 prefectures of Japan
-
each trip covers around three to four prefectures
-
minus the last one which is Okinawa which is only Okinawa but
-
um yeah
-
Trip two will commence on March 1st
-
stay up to date
-

-

-

-
Trip, woo!
