  • Today is day 13.

  • Start off trip No.2

  • So if you guys missed trip No.1 please go ahead and check it out.

  • That was day 1 to 12. We went to Aomori, Akita, Iwate and Hokkaido.

  • And in this time I'm going to Miyagi, Fukushima, Niigata and Yamagata.

  • And I will be accompanied by Kim Dao and Chris Broad from Abroad in Japan.

  • So we should have a lot of fun.

  • We have different people on this trip, so should be little bit different from the last one.

  • And we are first at my apartment.

  • And we are gonna be heading to Shinjuku.

  • And we are gonna take a bus up to Sendai station

  • where we are gonna meet Chris because Chris is already up there.

  • And this is part of Odigo47 where I'll be traveling all 47 prefectures here in Japan.

  • And vlogging every single day. So stay up to date.

  • We are at the willer express bus terminal and we are heading to Sendai station.

  • So we are back on the willer express.

  • So we finally made it to Sendai station.

  • We are heading to Ishinomori Manga Museum right now.

  • We are back in the car.

  • We are gonna head to the museum first,

  • and then we are gonna get some oysters at the Matsushima bay for dinner.

  • One of the 3 big sights in Japan. One of the 3 natural good sights.

  • What is?

  • Matsushima bay.

  • Oh, is it?

  • So yeah should be a nice view, I guess. and a nice dinner.

  • If you come to this area, you have to get oysters, right?

  • Absolutely.

  • Oysters are kinda things.

  • Kim Dao and I are not the biggest fans but we are gonna ganbaru.

  • Try the oysters.

  • We are gonna try the oysters.

  • And we are gonna be heading back towards Sendai, actually.

  • Because our hotels are here.

  • And then we are gonna call it a night.

  • So we are gonna put this.

  • We made it to the Ishinomori Manga Museum.

  • and it's straight ahead, it's a really windy and it's kinda cold

  • It's absolutely freezing

  • So Chris is telling us that this place was really wiped out?

  • So Ishinomaki is one of the worst affected area when the tsunami hit.

  • The tsunami actually triggered by the earthquake that happened about 100 km out that way.

  • Out the sea

  • And this peninsula we're on now was completely levelled

  • And the manga museum lost a lot of its artworks.

  • And a lot of the...

  • And a lot of the materials in the...

  • What up. So we finally made it to the Ishinomori Manga Museum

  • If you guys didn't know, this one is the most popular manga museum in all of Japan.

  • It was made to commemorate the works of Shotaro Ishinomori, who is a manga artist.

  • And basically this place was kinda, as Chris explained earlier,

  • Was kinda devastated after 2011 Tohoku earthquake.

  • It was closed down for a while.

  • And so the repairs finished in late 2012.

  • So yeah, we are gonna show you guys what it looks like inside.

  • And let's go.

  • So this is Ishinomori.

  • Basically this place was built because of this dude.

  • He owns the record from most comics published by one author. 770 titiles! That's insane.

  • He is the king of manga.

  • So we are here at this museum that is showing this dude's works.

  • What up!

  • We are with another Chris.

  • So we just went on the 2nd floor and saw a lot of cool stuff, a lot of areas we could' t take any videos of those so that's unfortunate.

  • Which is supposed to be a really nice view.

  • So we just finished the manga museum.

  • And Chris over here, this Chris. He wants to challenge Kim and I to British Accent Contest.

  • Because Kim thinks she can do a good one. I think I can do a good one.

  • She's from Australia, if you guys don't know. I'm from America.

  • So we are gonna have a little bit of a competition. Chris, go ahead and ask us a question.

  • So which country do you want to visit the most and why?

  • So the country I want to visit the most is England.

  • Do you know why? Because I love you British folks.

  • You guys eat crackers and ham and chicken.

  • I would love to visit England because they have Harry Potter.

  • Harry Potter Land there.

  • So we just made it to the Matsushima bay.

  • And we are gonna check out the nice views here.

  • And eat some oysters and seafood because that's what we gonna do if you are in this area.

  • So we are inside of the restaurant right now.

  • And Chtis got gyu tan.

  • So good. It's one the best things ever.

  • If you come to Miyagi, you have to get..

  • If you come to Miyagi, you have to have cow tongue.

  • That's really chewy but tastes so good.

  • I'm gonna try one of these miso kaki.

  • Miso oyster.

  • That's good.

  • That's really good actually.

  • Definitely get oysters, if you're in Miyagi.

  • Let's enjoy oysters.

  • in the soy sauce with sesame.

  • Very very good

  • Look at her faking that smile

  • Whatup so we just finished dinner that was awesome

  • We tried oyster

  • Gyu-tan

  • hum Cow tongue

  • and Maguro

  • Kim had Tonkatsu it was great

  • We had to interview some of the people in there

  • I would definitely recommend this restaurant
