My Whole Life Is Full of Jokes

我一生都充滿笑話

Sitting in front of us, what do you see?

Do you find all these jokes while looking at us?

Gautam Buddha said

That is far more

joyful than being a light unto yourself.

What are you going to do with a light?

this is the way I find jokes -- looking at you.

A big old Indian was sitting in a bar

when a dirty hippy came in

but don't tell it to anybody!

Once there was a man who had everything a man could desire:

有個人他擁有每個人都夢寐以求的一切:

a wonderful job

喜愛的

that he liked,

工作，

a wonderful wife

美妙的妻子

and wonderful children,

和很棒的小孩，

but then one day he began to see spots in front of his eyes.

但有一天他開始看到他的眼前有一些黑點。

At first he tried to ignore them,

起先他想要忽略它們，

but they began to get worse.

但它們開始惡化。

So finally he paid a visit to the doctor.

所以最後他花錢去看了醫生。

The doctor examined him but could find nothing wrong with him,

so he sent him to a specialist,

a neurosurgeon,

who examined him thoroughly

He also could find nothing.

The tailor who had taken all his measurements

裁縫師量了全部的尺寸

said to him, "Fourteen neck?

對他說，＂領圍十四吋？

You don't have a fourteen neck --

你的脖子不是十四吋--

you have a fifteen neck!"

你的脖子是十五吋！＂

"Don't tell me what I have,"

＂不用跟我說我有甚麼，＂

said the man, "I have been wearing a size fourteen neck all my adult life."

那個人說，＂我一輩子都是穿十四吋領圍的。＂

"Well, if that's so,"

＂好吧，如果是這樣子的話，＂

said the tailor, "then you must be seeing spots in front of your eyes!"

裁縫師說，＂那麼你現在眼前一定看到很多斑點！＂

Seeing you, certainly

看著你們，當然

I rejoice.

我很開心。

So many jokes all around!

到處都有那麼多的笑話！

Perhaps this is the first gathering in the world

或許這是世界上第一個

where jokes are being used

以笑話來幫你心靈

for your spiritual growth....

成長的聚會。

And you cannot be otherwise -- unless you become enlightened.

而你不得不然--除非你成道了。

Only enlightened people don't have

只有成道者一生中才不會有

anything in life

任何

which you can make a joke of.

可以讓你來當成笑話。

But in ignorance and unconsciousness, whatever you do

但出自無知與無意識，不論你做了什麼

is somehow

多少都

hilarious --

是滑稽的--

your fights, your love affairs,

你的抗爭，你的愛情故事，

your marriages, your divorces.

你的婚姻，你的離異，

If you start watching your behavior,

如果你開始觀照你的行為，

you will find out for yourself --

你自己就會發現--

"My god.

＂天啊，

My whole life is full of jokes!"

我整個人生都充滿了笑話！＂

And it will be a great revelation...

而那會是很好的啟示...

far greater than the revelation of God,

遠比上帝對你的啟示還好，

because that too is only a joke and nothing else.

因為那也是個笑話，除此之外別無它物。
