  • Now, we've all gone to those fancy hotels when we're on holiday.

    我們放假的時候,都去過高級的飯店。

  • And you get made that perfect omelette and you think, "Oh, if only I could do it at home."

  • This is how you make it.

  • It's actually really, really simple.

    其實非常非常簡單。

  • I've got four eggs in a large bowl here and I'm going to season that with just a little bit of salt and pepper.

    我打了四顆蛋到這個大碗中,並用一點鹽和胡椒調味。

  • And then you can put anything you want into an omelette.

    你可以在歐姆蛋中加任何你想加的食材。

  • I'm going to throw just a little bit of cooked spinach.

    我會加些煮過的菠菜。

  • Not much, just a little handful.

    不用太多,一小把就好。

  • Break your eggs, crack that together.

    將蛋打散,並攪均勻。

  • And then just stir.

    接著繼續攪拌。

  • Right.

    好了。

  • Into a medium pan, what you do is just take a little bit of butter and add that to your non-stick pan.

    拿出中型平底鍋,將一些奶油加到不沾鍋裡。

  • And that's the important part here, that you've got a non-stick pan.

    一定要用不沾鍋,這點非常重要。

  • Let that butter melt.

    讓奶油融化。

  • And then you just go ahead and add your eggs to the pan.

    接著將蛋液加到平底鍋裡。

  • So you'll notice I've got a small pan here.

    你可以看到,我用的平底鍋滿小的

  • And when you add your eggs, you turn the heat up, just a touch and then you give it a little stir.

    加蛋至鍋中的時候,把火開大,等一下下後開始攪拌。

  • Just using your fork.

    用叉子攪拌。

  • Now, the higher the heat, the faster the eggs will cook.

    火開越大,蛋越快煮熟。

  • You can cook it high, you can cook it medium, you can cook it low.

    你可以用大火、中火、或是小火。

  • The thing is, if you're going to cook it on a high heat, you've got to be pretty experienced.

    問題時,如果用大火煮的話需要很多經驗才不會失敗。

  • So start off with a heat nice and low and then slowly build up.

    所以一開始用小火慢慢煮,之後再漸漸調大。

  • Now you'll notice I'm using a fork even though it's a non-stick pan.

    你可能會發現,我用叉子攪不沾鍋。

  • But I'm just doing it extremely gently so I'm not going to scratch the bottom of the pan.

    但是,我動作非常的小心,所以我的叉子不會刮到鍋底。

  • So once you sort of get it to this consistency, you want to stop touching the bottom of the pan.

    一旦蛋的質地看起來像這樣,就停止攪拌。

  • I'm going to add just a little cheese.

    我會加一點點起司。

  • I've got some extra tasty here which is just delicious.

    起司能增添風味,非常美味。

  • And then I'm going to flash it straight under the grill.

    然後我就把它放到烤爐裡。

  • Now, it's only under there for about 10, 20 seconds just to melt that cheese and then we're going to flip and serve.

    放大概10~20 秒等起司融化,然後把它翻過來,就可以上菜了。

  • Beautiful!

  • When your omelette's ready, just flip it like this.
