This is Hubby from GrownUpGeek.com and today i'm gonna show you how to disable

g_p_s_ tracking on your iphone

why would you want to disable GPS tracking?

some people might be concerned about somebody tracking them using your iphone

like maybe an ex-boyfriend or somebody that might have just gotten ahold of your icloud

password

or maybe you just don't like the idea being tracked

so there's three different ways you can disable your tracking on your iphone

first way is to disable all of the location services

second ways to disabled just find my iphone

building on the other location service is still working

and

third way is to change your icloud or apple id password asking unit do that if you

think somebody has your password but you don't necessarily want disable all the

other services

you can do these in any combination or all of our more one more just two or

three of them

uh... any one will work together or individually

okay let's get started on the three to one of these one by one

the first method is to disable all location services

to do that tap on settings scroll down and tap privacy

tap on location services

and just hit a little on-button to off if it's already off then you don't have to do

anything

confirm that you want to turn off by hitting the red confirmation button

that's all there is to it

there is one disadvantage to disabling all the location services and that is is

that no other apso rt anything on the phone will be able to make use of any

location services so if you have any applications that

uh... like g_p_s_ trackers are anything that you may want to have uh... access

to your location

then this isn't the best option

disabling just the Find My iphone service is probably the best option for most people

doing it this way will allow all the other apps or services that you might

have that might wanna make use of location services not to continue to

work

uh... but you can be sure that you still won't be tracked by somebody using

icloud or find my iphone

to disabled justify my phone service

tap on settings

scroll down to iCloud

and tap it

scroll down to find my iphone

tap the little on

to turn it off

change iCloud password is the best option if you think somebody might be tracking

your location using your password and i icloud account information that shouldn't

have it

maybe you gave it to an old boyfriend or

maybe somebody got access to store your

uh... using our passports

using this option leaves all location services and everything working the only

thing that changes is that now only the people with a new password that you

create

will be able to track your location with find my iPhone

to change your iCloud password open up your web browser and go to appleID

.apple.com

enter your icloud username and password and click the sign in button

then click the password and security button on the left

confirm that you are who you claim to be by answering your security questions and

then click the continue button

on the manage your security settings page click change password

than just enter your old password

then type in your new password two times

and click the save button at the bottom

be sure you keep the password a secure place and don't give it anybody this

time
