Well guys, just one day of school here and then the rest of Golden Week.

The main part of Golden Week was about to begin

and the weather forecast was looking good

We had two new places set to explore,

Ashikaga Flower Park in Tochigi Prefecture and Gunma Prefecture's Child Kingdom

And to kick it all off, we would go camping in a very different way!

Sarah-ski! How was school?

Happy Golden Week! You had one day of school and now three days off again.

Was it a good day today? Yea.

And I'm so excited to make the fort in our room.

Oh yea, and we're going to sleep in our fort!

Since tomorrow's a holiday we are all... Getting setup for sleeping in our tent.

So last night we had a tent campout inside of our living room.

But it's two hours and we're leaving so early!

Why we decided to go during Golden Week, but here we are.

We left early and thought we would be able to beat the traffic, but we were wrong.

Well we've been driving for 2, over 2 hours now

And it still says maybe an hour and 20 minutes to go

But the traffics been like this

Pretty much the whole time once we got through Tokyo.

Golden Week traffic.

The drive ended up taking over twice as long as it normally takes, and we could see why.

It seemed like everyone was headed for the flower park.

OK guys, we're going in.

And it's 11:30 and we're getting here.

Wisterias are beautiful flowering vines,

and arguably one of the most famous places to see them is Ashikaga Flower Park.

This is our very first time here.

So that slide there was one of the best I've ever done here in Japan.

It was fast, it moves you good,

So we're waiting in line for this chairlift that takes you up to the top of this hill.

And then you can come down on these sleds, like a bobsled.

Oh yes!

How freakin' cool! You have almost a week of holidays right now.

Doesn't that make you happy?

Next week on Thursday and Friday we have whole day—whole day— sports day practice.
