If you want to start your day off right, start by establishing a consistent morning routine. Number two is hitting the snooze button. Switching back and forth between being awake and being asleep confuses your body and leaves you feeling tired and groggy for the rest of the day. Number three is not getting enough sunlight. Early morning sun exposure helps set your circadian rhythm and primes your body for sleep come bedtime. Number four is checking your phone first thing in the morning. Set it to “do not disturb” and start the day off on your own terms. Number five is not drinking any water in the morning. We lose water while we sleep and wake up dehydrated. Start your day off right by getting hydrated. Number six is missing out on morning movement. Taking a few minutes to stretch or get moving in the morning has compounding effects that last all day.
