  • - Thank you, Reporter Elmo.

  • It is I, your adorable Weather Reporter Grover,

  • and as you can see, there is going to be a lot of weather.

  • We have clouds over here,

  • which were chased away by sunny days over there.

  • Sunny days, my favorite.

  • I like to go for a nice long walk on sunny days,

  • but sometimes I cannot go outside.

  • So instead I bring the outside inside.

  • Do you know how to do that?

  • By using your imagination.

  • Walk with me.

  • (playful music)

  • Let us pretend this lamp is the sun.

  • Wow, that sun is bright.

  • Do you feel that?

  • On sunny days, I have to get my sunglasses

  • to protect my cute little eyes.

  • Ah, now I am ready to go for an imaginary walk in the park.

  • (humming)

  • Sometimes my walk turns into more of a jog.

  • (panting)

  • Exercise is good for you.

  • Move those little legs, faster, faster.

  • (panting)

  • Okay, okay, that is enough jogging.

  • Whoo!

  • Now I am hot.

  • Whoo, in fact, I am very hot.

  • I feel like the sun really is in this room right now.

  • You know what?

  • Perhaps a nice breeze would help.

  • Yes, yes, yes.

  • (gasps)

  • And lookie there, a cute little fan to save the day.

  • (laughs)

  • Oh, that is nice.

  • Feel that breeze.

  • Maybe a little more breeze, huh?

  • Yeah.

  • (dramatic music) Oh, oh, that is strong, oh.

  • Mommy!

  • - Hello?

  • - Whoo.

  • (groans)

  • While this adorable weather reporter fixes his fur,

  • take a look at these kids around the world,

  • and how they use their imaginations

  • to bring the outside inside.

  • Ha, ha.

  • (cheerful music)

  • - [Elmo] Look at that.

  • A friend in Bangladesh is flying a kite inside.

  • - [Man] Oh, yeah, score!

  • - [Grover] Now that is an inventive way to use a broomstick.

  • - [Elmo] She's painting a picture of the outside

  • while she's sitting inside.

  • Look at that.

  • There's our friend Pauline, pretending to catch fish inside.

  • - [Grover] Nice pillow slide.

  • - [Elmo] Oh, Elmo wants to try that!

  • There's Lola, pretending to explore outside

  • with her binoculars, and look, she's not the only one.

  • There's our friend in Jordan.

  • - And that is today's weather news.

  • Back to you, Reporter Elmo.

  • - Thank you, Weather Reporter Grover.

  • Boy, Reporter Elmo wants

  • to try bringing the outside inside too.

  • Hmm, what does Elmo like to do outside?

  • Yeah, baby, yeah!

  • Riding his tricycle in the park!

  • (cheerful music)

  • Elmo's riding

  • Riding in the park today

  • Oh, come on, everybody, let's all pretend

  • to ride our tricycles in the park.

  • (laughs) (cheerful music)

  • Whoa, Elmo hears the wind blowing through the trees.

  • Oh, and Elmo hears

  • (birds chirping) the pretty birdies singing.

  • Yeah!

  • Hmm, what else does Elmo hear?

  • (bell dings) Ding, ding, ding!

  • That's the bell.

  • (laughs)

  • And now, we have a question for Special Reporter Abby.

  • - It's Abby's Advice, where I get letters from friends

  • and try to help them solve a problem.

  • - Dear Abby, I can't play outside right now

  • with my new sister, so what can a big brother do?

  • Signed, Soon-to-Be Sibling.

  • - Well, I know about being a big sister,

  • because I have a brother named Rudy.

  • It's a lot of fun to have a sibling.

  • You can read books to them.

  • - And they lived happily ever after.

  • - Sing songs with them.

  • Do do do do

  • - And play games like peek-a-boo with them.

  • - Peek-a-boo!

  • (all laugh)

  • - There's so many things you could do together.

  • - I can do all those things.

  • I can't wait to play inside with my new baby sister.

  • - You're gonna be a great big brother.

  • Can't wait 'til I get another letter.

  • (Abby laughs)

  • Twinkle out!

  • - Boy, that was fun!

  • Huh, what, what? (dramatic music)

  • Oh, yes, yes, thank you, thank you.

  • Breaking news: Special Reporter Raya, what'cha got?

  • - Hi, Elmo.

  • - Oh, hi, Special Reporter Raya.

  • - Yes, Elmo?

  • - Reporter Elmo just wanted

  • to remind Special Reporter Raya that it's not Elmo today.

  • It's Reporter Elmo.

  • (laughs) - Ah, got it.

  • Well, Reporter Elmo, I have news about how kids

  • around the world are staying healthy

  • by keeping up their daily routines.

  • - Oh, yeah!

  • Those are the things that we try to do every day.

  • - Yup, daily routines help us to keep feeling good.

  • Oh, here's something I do every morning

  • as part of my routine.

  • Try to guess what it is.

  • - Sure, let's do this.

  • Guess along with Elmo.

  • (laughs)

  • (playful music)

  • Oh, oh, oh!

  • Reporter Elmo knows.

  • Do you?

  • Let's say it out together.

  • You're washing your face!

  • - Oh, that's right.

  • Let's do another one.

  • How about...

  • Oh!

  • Here is something I do in the afternoon

  • as part of my routine.

  • (playful music)

  • (smacks lips)

  • (laughs)

  • - Eating!

  • - Okay, here we go.

  • (playful music)

  • (grunts)

  • - Oh, oh, oh!

  • Is it playing with a ball?

  • - You got it!

  • I play every afternoon.

  • Playing teaches our brains to work in new ways.

  • That's what my mom says.

  • (laughs)

  • - So it sounds like it's good to play every day,

  • even if you can't go outside.

  • - You got it.

  • Oh, check out how others are finding ways

  • to play as part of their routine.

  • (cheerful music)

  • - [Elmo] There are so many ways to play.

  • Our friend in Japan draws pictures every afternoon.

  • You can play music, or move your body like Elmo's friend

  • in South Africa.

  • - [Raya] Using recycled materials is a great way

  • to make new things to play with.

  • - [Elmo] Elmo's all about using recycled materials.

  • Elmo's friend in China had another idea.

  • Cool!

  • (glass clanging)

  • That makes Elmo happy too.

  • - And when kids finish playing,

  • it's super important to do this special part of my routine.

  • Guess what it is.

  • (playful music)

  • - Say it with Reporter Elmo.

  • Wash your hands!

  • - Exactly.

  • I wash my hands with soap and clean water
