Theo Nintendo Theme Park in Osaka is finally set to open on February 4, according to Universal Studios Japan.

The area will feature Mario Kart races, attractions based on Nintendo games, as well as restaurants and gift shops.

Executive producer at Universal Creative Thomas Garrity also revealed details on augmented reality features.

Guest boarding The Ride will wear this augmented reality headset created by Universal's 80 I Group internally to meet the needs of the attraction, and this will immerse the guests in the world of Nintendo, where they ride right alongside of Mario Peach and Bowser.
