字幕列表 影片播放 列印英文字幕 there was one major domino. We're all still waiting on to fall in that line. People have speculated a move to the Lakers. They speculated he wants to play for the Clippers. Plenty of people think he's staying in Toronto. If you were with us in the beginning, when we came on the air here at for the 4 30 Eastern Adrian More Janowski told us that the speculation now is that this will drag itself out into the middle of this week. He is not going to be to make a decision, as many others have. So as we await that, I will ask you the question first if he leaves. If Kawhi Leonard is not on the Toronto Raptors, which team wins the Eastern Conference this year? I think it's Philadelphia. I think it's Philadelphia this year. If Kevin Durant was there, I wouldn't say Hey just called you out on Benson and obviously that's not what he shouldn't be. Have been Simmons believing because the man not only can't shoot perimeter shots, he won't even attempt them and that's a problem, you understand. I understand that, but we also have to understand that this is a 20 year old kid, 2021 years of age 6 11 with ball handling and passing skills that a sublime. I believe there. Ben Simmons. Even though he's nowhere in the ballpark, he's nowhere near because he doesn't shoot perimeter. I believe these are the perimeter shot away from being LeBron James. Part two. That's how great I think his basketball skills are. We know how big time Joel and beat is. We know how versatile experiments and professional Al Horford is. Tobias Harris is no scrub. I don't like the loss of JJ Reddick. You gotta find a perimeter shooting to make up for that loss. But when you look at the Eastern Conference, Milwaukee got a bit weak. Umbro ditches out Brogden this out. Toronto would be significantly weaken if Kawai lenders did. Yes, you got Kemba Walker, who's basically a lesser virgin off Kyrie Irving, even though he's a bad brother. But Gordon Haywood, along with Enis Kanter, potentially with Jalen Brown and Jayson Tatum. That's supposed to scare me. If I'm in the Eastern Conference, I respect them brothers, especially take them in brown. But come on now. I think the East is right to be had, and I think it's one of those situations where we look at Jason. I mean, Ben Simmons. He's got to develop to some degree. But again, even without the jump shot, think about all the other elements he brings to the table, plus the elite defensively, because they'll be so long and they can't defend. I think that they could take the East without having to deal with Kevin Durant next year with your team. If Kawai is not in Toronto, who wins? I like Philly on paper. Is will actually pick Philly this year, but we can't underestimate the fact there's a really well run teams in the Eastern Conference right now. The Bucks do have the Greek free. They did re sign Middleton. It did bring back Lopez. They're going to be in the mix. Don't sleep on Indiana, adding, with older, deeper Malcolm Brogdon and I want to put a little more respect on the Boston Celtics. In this conversation, I think carvery Irvine suck the entire energy out of their team. I think that's gonna be back this year. Gordon Hayward is going to be the second year, often injury. That's true. He's gonna be back playing like an all star player. You look at the numbers. Kemba Walker, Kyrie Irving basically had the same average. Jayson Tatum is going to take an All Star lead. Jaylen Brown has All Star potential, but Kemba shot Maurin isolation plays than Yeah, So if you thought Kyrie was born dominant and that disrupted Boston, what are you going to say about Kemba Walker, who does Qari more than courage? What you could say is, maybe Campbell will play differently. We will sleep with the hassle, so as opposed to where he was way will play differently. But when it we're going to sit up there and look at. But listen, I love Brad Stevens. Respect the hell out of him, and there's nothing that not Danny age about as well, because we understand his reputation speaks for itself. But I said this before, and I'm a say it again. They inserted a client and Gordon Hayward into the starting lineup that clearly was not ready to play. It disrupted them. It disrupted brown and disrupted Tatum. It even disrupted Rozier. And when you have that kind of disruption that takes place to me Now that Horford and Kyrie are going, that's a lot to ask them to make up. So you talk about collections of perimeter players in the East. I think if you talking about playing are shooting guard small for the Boston Celtics are gonna have the best in the conference. The best combination of the You've got Philly coming out of the East next year, and so do you. Let me bring Richard Arjun right now. I got to see what filled with Celtic J and Richard back into the conversation. I want to hear what they have to say about what they will always say. What? It was funny watching the playoffs. I don't see Ben Simmons bring the ball up the court. I saw Jimmy Jimmy Butler, not in the quarter. I saw Ben Simmons trying to post up on the block, and I saw different schemes to kind of slow the course when driving to the rim. So, like my whole thing is, if their schemes built to stop it, I don't know if I trust them. Vincent is over. Some find a jump shot, and I know he's still young, but he's had a lot of time to do that. until this point, though. RJ. Yeah, I agree. It's a big question. I still have Milwaukee. I like, you know, we're just because I want this. Now, hold up. Those of you who don't get to watch us in the morning, this is an advantage. One of the things we can do. We could move around here, Steven. I'm not gonna let him just talk to you when you're not saying Hey, so are we sure? Because this man knows his basketball. But are we sure that you saw all of Philly or you? Just because you spend a lot of time in Brooklyn, you might have missed the 1st 3/4 Ben Simmons. What drivel In the back, Way back. Okay. I like you. This one state you said the 1st 3/4 I'm not worried about the first reporter for Philly. I've said it. I'm worried about the fourth quarter. The last five minutes. Taking a shot. So what happened? Time? Oh, wait a minute now. But they upgraded defensively. So you're getting more stops If you're getting more stopped, you getting more opportunities. Not to mention effective. Not only you getting more opportunities, but you've got a guy and Horford to give the ball to a guy and Joel and be to give the ball to I gotta pants into that. By the way, defensiveness is will scrub. He just ain't going to hit perimeter shots. He can't get to the hole. He can't lead a break. He can finish on the break. Let's not act like he's completely impotent. Offensively, let me say one thing. If the game comes down to 1/2 court and they stack the paint, who's knocking down shots from the outside? If they sat complaint against that, they're going to stop the pain against. Really? I'm seeing people are going to stack the deck against Josh Richardson. I just finished saying they need another perimeter. Sugar I could see but could hit perimeter shots now. Okay, and be could hit, Remember? So you're saying you're gonna pick, Really? If they find a perimeter shooter? No, you're saying you're not, But that's about the four more thought about Philly, because I think that we sleep on Boston. Thanks for watching ESPN on YouTube.
