I think confusion happens because of it's spelling in these words as you can see

they're pronounced very differently than they're spelled the o o in this word

is pronounced as a short uh sound blood blood for pressure you'd think that we

have an S in there we don't it's a sh sound pressure pressure pressure pressure and

then lastly we have sugar another case of the letter S is pronounced as an SH

sound and then here that U is not pronounced as an uh it's pronounced as in

let's think about the rules that we've talked about in previous videos to make

a compound noun you're going to put two words together you're going to link them

together with no pause between the words and you're going to a stress syllable

number one making that part of the word louder making that vowel longer and

making that pitch a little bit higher so let's put together blood and pressure

sugar blood sugar blood sugar it's again we have blood pressure
