  • (mischievous music)

  • - Good?

  • (mischievous music)

  • Hi, my name is Joe and today

  • we are making pizza blindfolded.

  • Jasmine is my coach and my eyes for today.

  • And the only rule is if I touch it I must use it.

  • - I've made pizza once, Joe.

  • - You've made pizza once,

  • but you know what goes on pizza.

  • - Oh definitely, pineapple.

  • - Oh, we're in trouble.

  • - Well, unfortunately there's no pineapple

  • on the table so--

  • - All right, we're safe then. - Today's your day.

  • - All right, we're good and everything else

  • probably belongs on a pizza, I imagine.

  • - Yes. - For the most part?

  • - Definitely. - Depending on what part

  • of the world you're in.

  • - You're right. - That's one way

  • to look at it, you've eaten plenty of pizza though.

  • - Yes.

  • - I've made plenty of pizza.

  • I feel like I can sense the pizza.

  • Are we ready?

  • - Ready.

  • (mischievous music)

  • - Shhh.

  • - All right, you ready to do this?

  • - Almost, almost.

  • - Almost.

  • (mischievous music)

  • - Okay I'm ready now.

  • You ready? - I'm ready.

  • - Okay, so the dough is right in front of you,

  • knead it.(laughing)

  • - Knead it.

  • - Is that a thing, that's a thing, right?

  • - We'll stretch it, - in the center

  • - Stretch it, is the word - Yes

  • we're looking for.

  • - [Jasmine] Stretch the dough.

  • - [Joe] Oh it's like a nice cold ball.

  • Do I flour or no?

  • - Go up forward a little bit.

  • On to your left, a little bit.

  • No, too much.

  • Yeah perfect, now go back towards your body,

  • just a little bit, a little bit less.

  • Yeah, go down.

  • Down, down, down, down, oh.

  • Okay now, towards your body a little bit.

  • Yeah that's it.

  • - Found it, okay.

  • Flour.

  • (laughing)

  • All right, let's see if I can do this without seeing it.

  • - Yes.

  • - How am I on size?

  • - It's pretty big and you're close

  • to splitting it in the middle.

  • - We don't wanna do that.

  • Here's my plate.

  • Put it there.

  • - You got a bit of a fat chunk hanging towards you, yeah.

  • - [Joe] Feel like I'm folded over a little bit here too.

  • - Just a little bit, but it looks fine.

  • - All right, we got a crust.

  • We are the size of the plate.

  • - That looks pretty darn good.

  • - [Joe] All right I feel pretty good about this.

  • Do you feel pretty good about this?

  • - I feel great about this.

  • Okay let's, raise your left hand.

  • And then go forward about five, six inches.

  • A little more. - I don't know how far that is

  • - Double that. (laughs)

  • Okay now go left,

  • more and then now stick your index finger downwards

  • so we avoid things.

  • Okay a little more to your left,

  • split the difference.

  • Now go straight down.

  • Yeah, all the way down.

  • Yeah perfect!

  • Pick up that bowl.

  • - [Joe] Am I in a bowl?

  • - You are in a bowl

  • but you can stop fingering that

  • - I can't, I don't know. (laughing)

  • - Like - I feel like if I move,

  • I'm going to touch everything around it.

  • - I'm pretty sure this is pizza sauce,

  • lets hope that isn't sosa.

  • You want to smell it?

  • - Pizza sauce - Oh yes!

  • Okay, I'm so sorry about your finger.

  • - It's all good, it's part of cooking. (laughs)

  • That's my best tool right there.

  • - Yeah - All right,

  • so this is gonna go on.

  • Is there a spoon?

  • - Perfect, that was the center.

  • Feel free to go a little more right.

  • You are now off the left crust.

  • Left side of the crust.

  • Maybe one more dollop, on the right side.

  • Yeah, that's perfect!

  • You're killing it, Joe!

  • I was like something's missing. (both laugh)

  • - I almost forgot.

  • A little help.

  • All right, and we're back.

  • - Okay, I think that's enough sauce.

  • Let's put the sauce down, maybe to your right.

  • - [Producer] Don't touch anything, okay?

  • - Is this the flour? - Put the bowl down.

  • Put the bowl down, and then push it.

  • Yeah nice, nice.

  • Okay less less, okay.

  • Woooooh.

  • - I need to do something about this. (both laugh)

  • - Lick it.

  • - [Producer] See if you can catch.

  • - Wow! (clapping)

  • You're so athletic!

  • - Yeah, the first time anyone's ever said that to me.

  • Next topping please.

  • - Alright, raise your right hand,

  • and, yes wonderful.

  • Forward, a lot,

  • a little less, and then go right.

  • Forward,

  • down and that's the cheese.

  • That's a lot, yeah.

  • Good good good. - I like a cheesy pizza

  • - [Jasmine] Yay.

  • - Am I over the center, here?

  • - Your are left of the center, just slightly.

  • That's a little, oh that's perfect, that's wonderful.

  • - I'm just going to go circular motions here.

  • - [Jasmine] Yeah, oh you dropped, all of it. (laughs)

  • - That's all right. - But you'll be able

  • to find it.

  • - [Joe] (laughs)It's not gone?

  • It's not gone forever? - It's just there.

  • And then go downwards a little bit.

  • A little less down.

  • Yeah, go left a little bit.

  • Oh okay, let's just fling it everywhere.

  • - [Joe] Each pizza is its own snowflake,

  • its own unique snowflake.

  • Alright next?

  • - Raise your hand,

  • your right hand above the pizza.

  • Uh huh, now go forward a little bit.

  • Oh nooooo, noooo!

  • - That was a little bit! - Nooo!

  • Dang it, I can't see height on this stupid monitor!

  • Okay what, damn it!

  • What is that? - What is this?

  • - Can you squeeze it into your face, and smell it a little.

  • - It's sweet

  • - Ho!

  • - Strawberry syrup?

  • - Oh my god,

  • this just took a turn. - Nice.

  • - Okay, just a little bit.

  • Sweet and savory is good.

  • Ah perfect, stop!

  • Oh my God! (laughs)

  • - Perfect a bon appetit.

  • - Beautiful!

  • It's actually very nice on camera, I will say.

  • Okay, let's raise your right hand again.

  • - Try that,

  • I'm going to go for it - A little higher,

  • and then to your right.

  • Slightly to you left, just a little bit.

  • Uh huh and then stick your middle,

  • your index finger - Not my middle finger

  • - Okay now point it downwards,

  • bring your finger towards your body.

  • A little bit to your right.

  • A little more.

  • A little less

  • - This is like a crane game

  • - Forward,

  • less,

  • down.

  • Towards your body a little bit!

  • Down down, all the way down.

  • Yeah perfect, maybe use the spoon.

  • - I don't know where the spoon is.

  • - Do you have any hangnails?

  • - No, we're good. - Okay cool.

  • - I'll wash my hands, what is this?

  • - Jalapenos, I don't want you

  • to burn your fingers. - Oh okay.

  • I like jalapenos, we're fine.

  • - [Jasmine] And then to your right, a little bit.

  • Uh huh. - Done?

  • - Yes, let's go for the pepperoni.

  • - Ooh, I like pepperoni

  • - Raise your right hand.

  • And then, flat over the table.

  • A little higher, towards the right.

  • No less, to the left again yeah and then forward.

  • A little less.

  • Split the difference.

  • Uh huh, to your right just a little bit,

  • yeah, and then now point your finger down,

  • and a little forward, yeah straight down.

  • Oh la, forward a little bit

  • (bleep) spoons, okay yeah down.

  • Yeah awesome, careful of that bottle over there.

  • Does that count, that better not count.

  • - I didn't touch anything,

  • I didn't touch anything!

  • - Good, oh my god I'm sweating!

  • Joe, you're doing great!

  • - It's very stressful.

  • This is the most stressful pizza I've ever made.

  • Just going off of instinct

  • on where this pepperoni should land.

  • - Yeah go right a little more when you go back

  • in the other, yes way right.

  • A little more right.

  • Okay, less right. (laughs)

  • - Okay, that's good, right?

  • That's a good laugh?

  • I did good?

  • - Yes, that's wonderful - Nailed it!

  • - Okay, beautiful!

  • Do you like olives?

  • - I love olives.

  • - Okay, let's go for the olives.

  • Left hand, flat over the table,

  • back towards your body.

  • Uh huh, and then stick your index finger out

  • to your right, a little bit.

  • And

  • a little less.

  • And then stick it down.

  • Oh my god, this is so hard, its so small. (laughs)

  • Ugh okay, towards you just a tiny bit.

  • Oh god, there's a spoon!

  • Okay, ooh

  • to your right a little more

  • And then, can you raise your wrist just a little bit?

  • Oh that's beautiful, okay, towards you.

  • To your left,

  • now,

  • to your left a little more.

  • Yes, straight down.

  • And then watch your thumb, it'll touch a spoon.

  • Uh huh. - Straight still?

  • - Yeah, straight down. - Still?

  • - Yeah.

  • Did you get it?

  • Did you get it? - Is that an olive,

  • that's an olive. - Yay!

  • - Whoo, all right, its like defusing a bomb.

  • - [Jasmine] I know.

  • - [Joe] Where's the pizza, here still?

  • - Yes. - All right,

  • we're gonna minimal olives. (laughs)

  • I didn't grab a lot. - Yeah, I think looks good.

  • I think we're good with just one more ingredient.

  • - All right.

  • I trust you.

  • - It's probably the most important part of this pizza.

  • Okay, raise your right hand.

  • Flat over the table,

  • forward, a little more, and then to your left,

  • a little little bit more to your left.

  • Less, and then stick your index finger down.

  • Yeah, go straight down, that's it.

  • Hold the bowl and grab some.

  • Its really important, you have to add a lot of this.

  • - Oh, I know exactly what these are.

  • - What is it?

  • - I can feel they're pineapples.

  • - The best part.

  • - [Joe] These are huge pineapples. (laughs)

  • - [Jasmine] I know, they're huge.

  • - Where did these come from?

  • - [Jasmine] Add some to your right.

  • Yes, this is a very left heavy pizza.

  • Like our company. - We'll scoot everything over.

  • Perfect! (both laugh) - Now its like

  • all on the right but I think its wonderful.

  • You can eat the left side.

  • - All right, is that it?

  • - I feel good about this!

  • - Do we have it? - We have it.

  • - Do we nail it?

  • - We did it. (laughs)

  • Its a pizza.

  • - That is the most unconfident

  • - [Jasmine] It looks like we murdered something.

  • - Really? - A little bit.

  • - Oh man, I felt really good about it. (laughs)

  • - [Jasmine] Honestly you did wonderful.

  • - Posing with the pizza.

  • - Hmm looks great. - Different angles.

  • - Pizza looks great, you look great.

  • Oh.

  • - All right, what's left to do?

  • Do we bake it?

  • - Lets bake it!

  • (clock ticking)

  • - Pizzas baked, Jasmine?

  • - Yes? - Come join us,

  • join me.

  • - [Jasmine] You did so good!

  • - [Joe] Time for the reveal?

  • - [Jasmine] Yes.

  • - Wow! - Good job, great!

  • - No way! - I know, it looks amazing.

  • - I did that blindfolded?

  • That's pretty impressive.

  • - Look how wet the pineapples are.

  • - [Joe] That's the only thing

  • that looks weird on there.

  • - [Jasmine] Really, look at the straw--

  • - You got that neon, neon pink strawberry sauce.

  • - Looks delicious.

  • You wanna do the honors? - Here we go, here we go.

  • Let me set you up.

  • We'll do a smaller.

  • - [Jasmine] Make sure you get pineapple.

  • - [Joe] Yeah I wanna make sure you get a pineapple

  • - [Jasmine] No, I wanna make sure you get pineapple

  • - [Joe] We'll give you the triple,

  • quadruple pineapple action there.

  • - [Jasmine] Yum.

  • - That's for you.

  • - It's sopping wet.

  • - Sopping wet.

  • You're ready, pizza cheers? - Ready.

  • - Yes, it broke.

  • - Look at that. (both laugh) - Oh no!

  • - You need a new slice.

  • Come on girl.

  • - Thank you. - I got you.

  • - Cheers! - Pizza cheers!

  • - Cheers!

  • - Its a blindfolded pizza cooking.

  • - Mmmm!

  • - And that's a pizza pie.

  • - Your a true chef.

  • - Yeah, I would do that again.

  • That's how we should do them all in the restaurant,

  • just blindfolded cooks.

  • Tell them, go ahead and make a pizza.

  • - That would be a show and a dinner.

  • - That would be a dinner and a show.

  • You want some extra strawberry sauce, on yours?

  • - Sure, why not?

  • - Oh yeah.

  • - Yum. - I'll do it too.

  • - Oh yo. (laughs)

  • - I gotta know what this taste like.

  • - Mmm. - That's gross. (laughs)

  • - Yeah, so gross.

  • - Well, I think we did an excellent job as a team.

  • - Me too, I think we should open up a restaurant.

  • - Blindfolded cooking.

  • - Yeah, lets do it.

  • (upbeat music)
