字幕列表 影片播放 列印英文字幕 Just because n. B. A players can't compete on the court doesn't mean they can't virtually check out the n B A to K tournament $100,000 at stake for charity quarterfinals tomorrow night. So let's welcome the host of ESPN. The Jump. Rachel Nichols and Cleveland Cavalier All Star Andre Drummond. Thank you both for being with us and Andre. I know you advanced to the quarterfinals after winning your first n b A to K Round one. No. 1 to 49. How you feeling heading into tomorrow's game? You know, I feel good. It's a great game for me up in against the market's great great opponent. But I had to get the win. Looking forward to playing Pat tomorrow. I know he's a tough opponent. He talks trash on and off the court, and virtually so. This should be a fun experience. Yeah, yeah, it certainly should for fans watching, too. Yes. So, Patrick Beverley, trash talker both on the court and virtually how are your trash talk, talking skills or you're gonna go into that? I'm gonna let my game speak. I'm not talking. I'm gonna let him do all the talking and win the game. I like that. I like that strategy. Rachel talk a little bit about how important this competition is for the players and for the fans who are at home watching right now. Well, for sports fans, they're binging old games the way most of the rest of us are binging old TV shows. So ESPN has been showing the 2015 Super Bowl or the N B A Finals from 2016. The problem is, you know how those end and sports fans are dying to get their hands on sporting events where they don't know the outcome. You watch Star Wars. You know who's gonna be the victor at the end of Star Wars? You know who's winning the MBA finals from a past year. Watching these n b A to K games. They're finally getting back to competition, where they don't know what's gonna happen where guys like Andre could come out victorious. That is so much fun to just get a little respect. Yeah, And speaking of that, there are talks. Rachel, I understand of the n B. A and ESPN televising a horse competition involving several of the players who are in isolation, presumably using their at home gym. So what would that mean for the league? It would be great for the n b a. The n b a was really stopped at such a critical time. This was right before the n b A playoffs. So this is a way to stay connected to fans. Toe have those athletes and those personalities that are such a big part of the sport stay connected to fan. So when the league can start back up, they're going to hit the ground running, going into their most critical time of the time. They need those TV dollars. They need fans to tune in. So it just keeps those strings alive for people to be ableto see what Andre is doing it home. That I was DeAndre. How's your horse game? Um, you know me. I haven't played horse in quite some time, but I would love to do it. I would love to do it and, you know, see what I come up with. All right. I'd love to see you do it too, And, ah, lot of uncertainty, obviously, about when the n b a will come back to you. I know the players, air itching Just like fans, too, to get back on the court. Are you prepared? Or your fellow players prepared to go straight into playoffs? If if there is that moment anytime soon, You know, for me, we're just trying to stay ready as best as we can. You know, it's not much we can do. It can't really go into teams to work on our games. But a lot of guys have at home things that Jim like, half course or a bike or treading, liking like that keep our sun shaped. If we do come back, you know it be interesting toe start up again. But we're all athletes and, you know, start jobs. I'm sure we'll come get you. Figure it out. All right. Well, we certainly hope you D'oh! Andre! Rachel, Thank you both for joining us today.
