Joe Biden will be the Democratic nominee, and here's Mary Bruce.

Bernie Sanders dropped out today, telling supporters victory was quote virtually impossible.

I wish I could give you better news, but I think you know the truth.

Sanders is path to.

The nomination had become increasingly unrealistic ever since Joe Biden's big Super Tuesday come back.

And as the Corona virus crisis grew, so did the question.

This feels a little bit like it did when you didn't come out when Hillary Clinton was clearly the person folks were going for.

So can you explain why you're still in the race with this path is one of the reasons, but that's not quite accurate.

I worked this honestly could do for Hillary Clinton today.

Sanders gave in.

I cannot in good conscience continue to mount a campaign that cannot win and which would interfere with the important work required off all of us in this difficult hour.

Now Joe Biden is already looking ahead.

Today, he announced he will have a plan in place to vet potential running mates by the end of this month.

Asked if you would consider announcing his pick in June after the last primaries are held, Biden said, That's not a bad idea, David.

And of course, he's already said he will choose a woman.
