This is the lock picking lawyer, and what I have for you today is a guard's brand alarmed padlock.
The lock is made in India, and I only recently heard of the company overall looks like a fairly unremarkable lock with what appears to be a 60 millimeter wide, nickel plated zinc lock body and a 10 millimeter thick shackle.
But this long does have one trick up its sleep.
There's a small button down the shackle hole that, when pressed by the shackle being locked arms an alarm, and that alarm sounds whenever the lock is jostled.
So let's lock this up.
We can hear a beep, which means theological is currently armed.
Now, the first time the lock is bumped, a three beep warning tone sounds.
The second time it happens, the full siren goes off.
So now that we have this on a hair trigger, let's see if we can pick the lock without tripping the siren.
I'm going to use a medium wiper insert as a turning tool, and we're going to try to pick this five pin dimple core using a wave rake.
Okay, we got it open very quickly, and when the shackle comes up.
That internal button is released and the alarm is disarmed.
So despite what might at first seem to be a fairly intimidating set up in reality, this could be defeated fairly quickly with a low skill attack.
In any case, that's all I have for you today.
