Ain't no sunshine when she's go. Bill Withers was born in 1938 in Slab Fork, West Virginia. The three time Grammy Award winner spent his early years in the Navy. He worked at an airplane parts factory before buying a guitar in a pawn shop and making music. His lyrics have comforted generations and so many people remembering him today, noting that his lyrics are comforting us. Now Lean on Oh thing country now thinking the doctors, the nurses, the health care workers, the first responders who are risking their lives to save others in Seattle. Nurse Ashland, Jules coming home from that shift. So and every night, 7 p.m. And you could hear it across New York City cars for health care workers on the front lines. And so tonight we note the passing of Bill Withers. What a loss. But what a gift! His words lean on me, comforting us.
