Now, thanks to the Schengen Agreement, I can travel between 29 European countries without any border guards or passport checks. And thanks to an enterprising British ex-pat, I can choose to travel between these two European countries by zip wire. Now, if there's one thing I've learned while programming computers, it's that there are always edge cases. You can try to plan for everything, but the real world is always fuzzier than you might think. Names, addresses, personal details, geography, maps, you can try to put the world into a database but the world will always provide you with exception to every rule. And this here is a brilliant way to demonstrate it. So I'm going to put a few things on screen during my ride. The current time. The time I set off. The cost of the zip line ride. And, using some deliberately shoddy code, the time elapsed. So the next time you write some code for the world to use: have a think about the edge cases. -- Right, okay! -- Thank you! -- Legs up! -- Legs up! Woo-hahahaha! Yes, boy! Woo! There we go! -- That was good. -- Perfect. -- Got it. On there? Got it. -- Okay. Muy bien.
