字幕列表 影片播放 列印英文字幕 This is the lock picking lawyer, and what I have for you today is a mister no brand disc padlock. It's the Model D S 70. It's something I received unsolicited from the company, and they apparently wanted to show off a new cylinder. That cylinder has six pins in the traditional location, plus 1/7 pin that comes in from the side. If we look at the key, we can see a small dimple cut into the side, and that's where that seventh pin engages. So between all of those pins and a fairly tight little key way it should make for an above average pick, we're going to give it a try. Right now, I'm using top of the key way tension with a narrow wiper insert in a standard hooking 18 thousands. Okay, little click on one click on to quick out of three click out of four little bit of movement on that core, click out of five back to the beginning, Quick out of one, and we are open Now. If you were paying attention, you would have noticed two things that I did not. D'oh! The first was picked pin number six, and that's because I did not feel 1/6 pen in there. I felt a place where one belongs but no pin in that location. The other thing I didn't do was picked Seaside pin, at least not on purpose. Now, these are pretty big misses. And I was curious whether this lock was an anomaly. So what I did was went out and bought a 2nd 1 And unfortunately, I had the exact same experience with this one. No. Six pin and I did not have to pick the side pin. We're gonna pick this one as well. Once again. Top of the key way. Tension with that narrow wiper insert in a standard hook in 18 thousands. Okay, little click out of one click out of two. Nothing on three. Little click on four. I'm having a little trouble getting under five. There we go. Little click out of five. Back to the beginning. Click out of one. Nothing on 234 There we go. I didn't have five all the way set. So once again, I did not pick the sixth pen or a sidekick. So what does this mean for the lock? Well, obviously it's disappointing that the six been is missing and that the side pin doesn't add anything appreciable to pick resistance. Now that side pin may do something else. It might be helpful for key control that is making it more difficult to produce unauthorized copies, and that's because we have that little dimple on the side. But honestly, I'd want to test that before I rely on it. In any case, that's all I have for you today. If you do have any questions or comments about this, please put them below.
