字幕列表 影片播放 列印英文字幕 This is the lock picking lawyer, and what I have for you today is an L. A com computer lock that came to me from Japan. For those of you who have never heard of the company, it is a massive electronics maker headquartered in Osaka, Japan. It's mainly known for computer peripherals like mice, keyboards and USB drives. However, these products are relatively uncommon in the U. S. What we have here is their computer security kit, which was packaged for the Japanese market. It contains a Kensington slot interface, a braided steel cable and a small four pin dimple lock. So let's lock this to my old computer and see what it takes to open it up. I have a Kensington slot right down here, so let's get this into it. We will put this little piece of metal into lock it up, and you're supposed to hold it to this braided steel cable which will be connected to a secure anchor point. Okay, so probably the easiest way to open this up would be by shaming it. And this padlock is very susceptible to that attack. We can just slide this shim into that little slot in between the shackle on the lock body and the padlock opens up. Then, of course, we can pick this open. Let's get a little bit of tension in here with a wiper insert, and then I'm going to be using one of my multi pick dimple pecs. Okay, Pin one is binding. Quick out of one click out of two, click out of three, click out of four, and we opened it up. So, as you can see, this might stop impulsive or opportunistic theft. But it certainly can't be depended on to provide serious security. In any case, that's all I have for you today. If you do have any questions or comments about this, please put them below.
