  • He was hired as a sketch writer for the show and spent two seasons in the Writer's Room coming here one second connecting one second.

  • Sorry for the interruption.

  • Well, that would surely explain why he's so funny.

  • Yes, he joined the show as a writer in 2003.

  • Then he became a full time cast member in 2005 and spent the following nine years making us belly laugh until departing the show after the 2013 season, The War of the bath is both.

  • But Neilan was part of the show's foundation for nine Amazing Years, spanning from 1986 to 1995.

  • What about this guy, Steven Seagal?

  • And she brought a ton of class and hilarity to her send up a former first lady, Michelle Obama.

  • Since leaving the show, she's been back plenty of times as a guest and hosted at once in 2012.

  • Number seven.

  • Kate McKinnon.

  • Kate is one of two active members in this ranking, so expect her to climb higher on this list before her career is over.

  • I'm sorry I had to give birth out here, where all the animals live.

  • At nine seasons on the show, McKinnon has had too many memorable characters to count, making her a top star in the process.

  • But one of her most popular rolls has been her recent and absolutely savage portrayal of Donald Trump's aide, Kellyanne Conway.

  • You could be her depiction of Conway as the clown from it called.

  • Kelly Wise currently has over 16 million views on YouTube and was a viral hit back in 2017.

  • After leaving the show, he turned to acting in both TV and film number five Al Franken, Al Franken.

  • You mean former United States Senator Al Franken?

  • Yep, the very same.

  • I refused to beat my felt.

  • He played the unforgettable self help guru Stuart Smalley and became so popular on SNL he was awarded his own NBC Back to movie called Stuart Saves his Family in 1995.

  • We see him every weeknight updating us on the latest World developments on Late Night with Seth Meyers.

  • That's natural since Meyer's first rose to fame during his time on SNL as the co anchor of Weekend Update alongside Amy Poehler Newt Gingrich on Wednesday announced that he is running for president using Facebook and Twitter, where most people will think Newt Gingrich is a Harry Potter character joining the show back in 2001.

  • It wasn't long until stuff Snack for Comedy landed him the co head writer spot on SNL beside none other than Tina Fey.

  • And he was writing such famous lines that Sarah Palin's I Can See Russia from My House.

  • What up?

  • What up Without Welcome to Black Jeopardy, the only TV game show where the audience is in church closed.

  • Not only does he hold the show's record for most impersonations at 138 once again passing Hammond, he's also been credited by show creator Lorne Michaels as being the most reliable cast member.
