  • Hi there.

  • And welcome to these next training video on psychometric tests.

  • So I'm gonna give you some sample questions on dancers to help you prepare for pass your own psychometric test on.

  • I fully understand that many people find these tests quite daunting.

  • But don't worry.

  • I'm gonna be here to help you.

  • So welcome to this tutorial is the same.

  • My name is Richard Bachman.

  • I've been helping people like you to pass these kind of tests for about 20 years.

  • Now, this video is gonna teach you specifically how to pass tough psychometric test.

  • So please do what's the video from beginning to end.

  • And don't forget, Make sure you subscribe to the channel.

  • Click the red subscribe button below the video because then you'll get notified straight away as soon as I do videos like this, and I'm doing them every week now on also, if you do like, the video would very, very much appreciate it.

  • If you gave it a thumbs up, that would be much appreciated.

  • So first and foremost, before we get into a load of sample questions, I want to give you some really important tips and tricks to help you understand how psychometric tests work on what you can do to improve your score.

  • So the 1st 1 it's obvious.

  • But many people neglect this practice.

  • Lots of sample questions.

  • Okay, if you practice lots of sample questions, I promise you your test scores will gradually improve because you'll become used to the different kind of test questions that you'll undertake.

  • And they are very similar in nature.

  • Across the different kind of psychometric tests on.

  • I'm talking about New miracle reason test verbal ability, tests, spatial awareness, abstract reasoning, mechanical comprehension, et cetera.

  • So practice lots of varied ones.

  • This is important.

  • Please do make sure you practice under timed conditions.

  • Now, when you go for the real test, whether you undertake it, a test center or online, you will be under timed conditions.

  • So therefore you should practice under time conditions.

  • Another thing is to aim for speed as well as accuracy.

  • So what I mean by that obviously work as fast as you can.

  • But don't make the mistake that the majority of people do is that when they're coming to the end of the test and they're running out of time, they start to guess now a lot off test providers will deduct marks for inaccurate guessing.

  • Okay, so there's another important tip here based on that most psychometric test also designed that you can't finish all of them.

  • So for those people have bean in a psychometric test before you get towards the end, you see, you're running out of time, so you start.

  • You start to panic a little bit and you think about guessing dote.

  • The tests are designed so that you can't finish all off the questions.

  • So another important tip.

  • I'm gonna work through this with you today on this video.

  • Make sure you read the question carefully before you answer, and I'll give you a couple of examples of what I mean by that as we get into the question.

  • So let's go.

  • Let's start helping you prepare and part of psychometric test Question number one.

  • Let's read it carefully.

  • Mrs.

  • Fuller wants to return a T shirt, a pair of designer shoes, a dress and a pair of jeans, which cost 12 95 85 99 17 99 and 22 99 respect, respectively.

  • So how much does she stand to gain if all of the items returned.

  • Now, if you read that question, it sounds a little bit confusing.

  • But all you've got to do it's a basic new miracle addition Question.

  • Okay, so you read the question, but don't become overwhelmed by the amount of content in there.

  • All you have to do is add all the different elements up.

  • So is it 100 49?

  • 92 B 133 92 C 13 to 92 dear 139 91 or the 139 92.

  • Now you noticed that four of these are very similar B C D Any really similar?

  • So they are multiple choice in nature, but we have to simply add them up.

  • So add the amounts to give a 12 95 plus 85 99 plus 17 99 and 22 99.

  • And the answer is simply 139 92.

  • Okay, so it's very, very simple to do so I'd like you to have a go at this.

  • Next question, please.

  • So it's your turn.

  • Please put your answer to the question, too, in the comments section below this video, and I'll come on each day on, I will mark.

  • And before you know your notice on this page, there is a timer here on the right hand side.

  • I'm gonna give you 13 seconds to want to this question.

  • Now, I want you to work under time conditions.

  • But if you find you're struggling, don't worry about it.

  • Simply pause the video on work out the answer.

  • So Mr Johnston Johnson wants to return a T shirt.

  • A pair of trainers on a pair of jeans which cost 11 90 £70 and £69.50 respectively.

  • How much does he stand again?

  • If all of the items are returned is £851.40 Be 154.

  • 40 seed £150.

  • 50 D £151.60 or e £141.

  • 50 To put your answer to question two in the comments section below, and I'll set the time.

  • Okay, well done.

  • Question number three.

  • So here's a different kind of question.

  • The previous one was a new America.

  • One will come back to New Miracle in a second, but let's take a look at verbal ability test.

  • So let's read the question Carefully start at one of the corners on move anti clockwise around the square, finishing in the centre to create a nine letter word.

  • So these three important things there, we gotta start at one of the corners.

  • Even this one, that one, that one or that one.

  • So it can be a blank one.

  • And we have to move anti clockwise or counterclockwise around this shape, finishing in the sentence.

  • The final letters to be e.

  • Okay, so first of all, most we have to understand what is anti clockwise or counterclockwise, and that is moving that direction.

  • Okay, so we start in one of the corners and then finishing this in the center.

  • So it's a process of elimination just having a look.

  • And normally the word will just jump out in front of you.

  • And I'm gonna give you guys to have a gold one of these in a second.

  • But the correct answer here is emphasized.

  • Okay, so that's the answer.

  • Because we finish in the center with the knee and the answer is emphasized.

  • Nine letter word.

  • Okay, now it's your turn.

  • You ever got these?

  • Please put your answer to question for in the comments section below for market.

  • Thank you.

  • So again, read it carefully.

  • Start at one of the corners, but this time, move clockwise around the shape, finishing the center to create all nine letter word.

  • Okay, you've got 13 seconds to answer these and put your answer to question for in the comments section below.

  • Okay.

  • How did you get in?

  • Without hope?

  • You got the correct answer.

  • Put it in the comments section below Question five.

  • Let's move on.

  • Now, back to another new miracle test.

  • If one box of pens costs £1.90 how much will seven boxes cost if a customer has a 10% money off voucher?

  • So again, quite a bit of information there, but we just read it carefully, and then we've got to work out how much seven boxes cost, so we have to do a multiplication, and then we have to do a 10% percentage calculation and then take that off.

  • So the answer is a £14.30 be £11.

  • 97 c £12.

  • 87.

  • Is it d £13?

  • 30 or e £13?

  • 49 2 Step one.

  • Simply work out seven times £1.90 because it says, if one box is 1 90 how much was seven B?

  • So we get that answer, which is £13.30 and then step two.

  • We have to work out 10% of £13.30 and all we need to do there is move that decimal 300.1 place to the left to get the answer.

  • £1.30 and then we simply need to deduct £1.33 from £13.30 to get the arms to be, which is £11.

  • 97 on Like a say when you when you get used to these and you practice lots of them under time conditions, you'll be doing these in super fast time.

  • Okay, now it's your turn again.

  • Please put your answer to the question six in the comments section below for marking.

  • Thank you.

  • Here we go.

  • So let's read the question carefully.

  • Two boxes of pencils cost £10 each.

  • Now, if there are 10 pencils in each box, how much does one pencil cost?

  • Slight variation on the previous question is the 8 50 p b.

  • £1 see 10 p d.

  • £10 or e one people, so I'll quickly repeat that before setting the time.

  • Two boxes of pencils cost £10 each.

  • If there are 10 pencils in each box, how much does one pencil cost and you got the time It takes the timer to wind down to put your answer in the comments section below the video.

  • Thank you.

  • Okay.

  • Well done.

  • Hope Eastern.

  • Join these tests were gonna start making some tough questions and improving your ability to party stuff.

  • Forget.

  • Like I say, if you do enjoy the video, don't forget to subscribe and give it a thumbs up.

  • I really appreciate it.

  • Okay, which figure comes next in the sequence?

  • Now, this is a kind off, abstract reasoning kind of question, very common.

  • So shapes and figures and we have to look for patterns.

  • So what we're looking for there is which one would come there?

  • So you've got four shapes and we have to work out Which one comes there out of these options?

  • A, B, C or D.

  • Now, upon first inspection, it looks confusing, but it's actually very simple.

  • So you will notice a pattern here is that the shapes here alternate between black and white So therefore straightaway.

  • That's black.

  • That's why that's black.

  • That's why this needs to be black.

  • So it's either a or C straight away, so we can totally disregard B.

  • D.

  • We don't even have to look at them.

  • The next one is that the number of sides increase by one each time.

  • So if you look at the strip Easy, Um, 1234 and then that's got five.

  • That's got six that's got seven.

  • So we just have to simply work out which one's got eight out of A and C.

  • And the correct answer is a because, see has only got 1234567 sites.

  • Okay, the answer is a You're go, Cavaco.

  • This one, this is great social.

  • Tim, please put your answer to question eight in the comments section below the video for market.

  • Thank you.

  • So which figure comes next in the sequence?

  • Okay, so you've got a load of horizontal and vertical lines.

  • Which one comes there out of options?

  • A, B, C and D.

  • Let's even get this one.

  • Correct.

  • You got the time it takes this time it'll wind down to put your answer in the comments section below the video and I'll come on the market.

  • Thank you.

  • Okay, I hope you got that one.

  • Correct.

  • Let's now we want to question nine.

  • A car is listed for sale at £17,500.

  • The sales person then offers you a 5% discount.

  • How much is the car reduced by?

  • So this is the question.

  • Not how much does the car cost?

  • But how much is it reduced by?

  • And this is important.

  • Okay, so it's all about reading the question carefully.

  • 8 16,006 to 5 B, £875 C £900 d 7 8050 or E £925.

  • So Step one or we need to do is toe workout 5% of 17,500 Now we could do this a couple of ways.

  • We could even move the decimal 0.1 place to the left and get 1750.

  • And then Harv, that, or what we could do is do 17,500 divided by 100 which equals 175 because we move it to decimal places to the left and then multiply that fart by five to get the answer.

  • 875 So a lot of people would get the question wrong because they would then decide what the price of the car is.

  • But we're actually trying to find out what it is reduced by.

  • So now it's your turn.

  • Okay, Read the question carefully, please.

  • Again, Put your arms to question 10.

  • In the comments section below, a car is listed for sale at £20,000.

  • The sales person then offers you a 20% discount.

  • How much do you pay for?

  • The car is in a 4000 B 24,000 C, 18,000 d 16,000 or E.

  • 22,000.

  • Off you go.

  • Okay.

  • You're making fantastic progress.

  • Now, I hope you still enjoying it.

  • Questioning 11.

  • Now, this is getting a little bit tougher.

  • Which answer option A, B, C or D is the correct code for figure for So this is figure for here.

  • We have to work out what the correct code is, so you can see on the left you got one which is a black trying on is a cold underneath it.

  • You've got then a triangle with brick shaped pattern on it and there's the code.

  • Then you've got a trapeze in with the same brick shaped pattern TNF.

  • So this is like a logical reasoning kind of psychometric test question.

  • So these are the options.

  • Is the Kodak T T A eight E or F A.

  • Now this appears difficult, but it's actually relatively simple.

  • You'll get used to these gonna questions so we have to work out what the code is there.

  • So which answer option A, B, C or D is the correct code for figure four.

  • Okay, here we go.

  • If you look there for patterns, So first of all, look for patterns and similar shapes.

  • Who got two triangles there That tells me that the code zed represents a triangle.

  • OK, really simple.

  • So we're looking for patterns.

  • Then we can see there.

  • The eh is below it.

  • That tells me that a actually equals color black.

  • Okay, And then if we move on, if we look at f below that second triangle that tells me the F is a brick pattern, could you've also got one there, which is the same, but it's a different shape.

  • A trapeze IAM and then if we have a look because there is the trapeze, um, at the top, then t equals trapeze in, which tells me that fool is a trapeze iam, which is t and then it's black.

  • So therefore, the correct answer is big.

  • Really simple.

  • Just look for patterns.

  • Similarities in the same on the same letters.

  • Okay, so now it's your turn to have a Goldie's.

  • Please put your answer to question 12 in the comments section below for market.

  • So which answer option A, B, C or D is the correct code for figure for So his figure for on the right hand side and you've got the two question marks.

  • So don't forget to look for similarities.

  • Okay?

  • The same letters to give you some clues is a a W a B G a C w e or D G.

  • P.

  • So please put your answer to question 12 in the comments section below.

  • You got 13 seconds to answer these.

  • Thank you.

  • Okay.

  • Well done.

  • Moving on.

  • Question 13.

  • Which four of the eight letter bits could be combined to create a word that describes the quality of being full of energy, excitement and cheerfulness.

  • So We're given eight letter bits here.

  • So you've got 12345678 letter bits.

  • So what we have to do is to work out which four of these.

  • So we have to choose for different letter bits to come up with a word that describes the quality of being full of energy, excitement and cheerfulness.

  • So the answer is e X.

  • You be all right and see which is exuberance.

  • So it's like a verbal ability Question.

  • So have a go at this one yourself.

  • Question 14.

  • Again.

  • Put your answer in the comments section below which four of the eight letter bits can be combined to create a word that describes a firm white Italian cheese made from buffalo or cow's milk.

  • So which four of the eight letter bits put your answer in a comments section below, please?

  • Okay.

  • Hopefully you got that one.

  • Question 15.

  • The clock reads 3 p.m. So this clock here on the right inside reads 3 p.m. How many degrees will a small our aunt have turned when the time reaches 6 p.m. Okay, so we have to understand.

  • So first of all, it's a 30 be 45 degrees C, 360 degrees d.

  • 90 degrees or e 180 degrees.

  • So that's the small hour on there, the red one and put the red square.

  • The large one is the minute and so that's the hour.

  • So we have to work out how far it goes through to get round to 4 p.m. Okay, so Step one, there are 360 degrees in a full 12 hour turn.

  • Work out how many degrees rotation each one hour turn equals.

  • So 360 divided by 12 equals 30.

  • So if it was 4 p.m. it would be 30 degrees.

  • And if it was six PM, what would it therefore be?

  • The answer would be D for 90 degrees.

  • Okay, so now it's your turn.

  • Please put your answer to question 16.

  • In the comments section below the video for Market, the clock opposite reads three PM How many degrees will the large minute hand of turn when the time reaches 4 p.m. The large one?

  • Is it a 10 degrees?

  • Be 60 degrees C 90 d 180 or E 360.

  • You got time it takes the time to wind down toe.

  • Want to the question?

  • Thank you.

  • OK, well done.

  • So what I would like to do is a really hope you've enjoyed those so far.
