As you know, there's the part where we talk about the things that I made mistakes on in the video or we cover things that didn't quite make it into the video.

For one, I did math wrong.

My logic was one centimeter is 1 1/100 of a meter.

Therefore, one square centimeter should be 1 1/100 of a square meter.

Now apparently have to multiply 100 by 100 which makes 10,000 to take the decimal place down by five.

Whatever the point is, square centimeter is actually $4.50 not $450.

But yeah, that doesn't really help much, because now it's like Okay, well, now I can afford, like, a napkins.

Second, I meant to say a lot of American women become Royals, not princesses.

For example, Wallis Simpson, You saw that picture.

You know what kind of hooked up with the King of England and then he abdicated.

Yeah, she actually got the title of Duchess of Winds or but she actually never even got to be called Her Royal Highness and the other lady actually became a queen of Jordan.

Also, I said that if Monaco's royal family could not produce an heir that France would take over.

I believe they actually repeal that law in the early 2000 so it doesn't apply anymore.

Monica would still be sovereign.

One thing I forgot to mention, but I could have mentioned, was that the Prince of Monaco actually went through a paternity lawsuit in the nineties, and DNA test confirmed that he actually had another daughter out of wedlock before he even got married.

Although by constitutional law she is not in line to the throne, but she is an heir to the fortune, so either way, she's she's gonna be loaded.

I also forgot to mention that at one time Monaco actually had a lot more land, but it was seated to France also.

I forgot to talk about how a Santa de Volta is the patron saint of Monaco.

There's a lot of other things I could have talked about, but we gotta move on.

So let's go to the flag.

So without further ado, a Monaco, I love powerhouse small nations, you know.

So the flag, first of all, the flag is made up of two horizontal stripes of equal size.

The top stripe is red, while the bottom stripe is white.

Like many other national flags, the colors of Monaco's flags are symbolic.

According to the government of Monaco, the red and white are the traditional colors of the house of Grimaldi, the founding family of Monaco established in the 13th century.

Many will say that the colors also represent the positive human values red representing the flesh of the human body, while white representing purity in spiritually life give mine.

They also have a few variant flags like the checkerboard won.

A lot of other countries slash administrative divisions do this words like they have a flag with two banners, but then they also have an alternate diamond checker flag.

It's weird.

I think Bavaria does that.

Oh, and the German state of Hess actually has the exact same flag as well.

It's weird, but yeah, pretty much other than this, they had no other flag, which is why It's so controversial when it comes to Indonesia after Indonesia adopted their flag in the forties.

There's a little bit of like tension because Monica was like, Hey, we thought of this first and it goes back to the 12th century.

But then Indonesia was like, Yeah, well, you know, even though we're adopting in the forties, technically, these colors go way back even further than your principality were totally cool with each other.

Now they've actually had, like diplomatic meetings is just It's a little weird and awkward when they have to, like, have the flags on the side anyway.

Moving on the coat of arms.

The coat of arms contains a shield with red and white fu seals or diamond shaped patterns representing the colors of the Grimaldi family, as well as little many wreath ornaments also utilizing the same royal colors and designs.

The top lies the princely crown, representing the Royal house of Grimaldi, and on the bottom is the Collar of the Order of Saint Charles, which alludes to a dynastic knighthood established in Monaco in 18 58.

On either side of the shields are two monks with swords symbolizing the conquest of Monaco and 12 97 when Francois Grimaldi, the country's founder, lead His soldiers dressed up as monks.

And that's kind of how they took over because they were like, disguising themselves and they had stores and stars.

And finally, at the bottom is a scroll reading Deo Huvane Day, meaning with God's help.

And that's it, do This is pretty much the only coat of arms they've ever had.

It's pretty interesting, you know, like monks with swords.

No, the coat of arms has that.
