  • And it's a very serious thing.

  • Our good friend Joma suffered from depression and burned out, and he quit his YouTube channel.

  • We've heard he even quit his job.

  • Joma has been suffering from severe, severe, severe depression.

  • And it was something that very few people knew about.

  • You know, this was, ah, riel crisis for him.

  • And, you know, we look around us, we look at our friends and everybody just says, Oh, yeah.

  • How are you?

  • I'm okay.

  • I'm fine.

  • And you never really take much deeper than that.

  • But sometimes you as to yourself, maybe you should show your sympathetic side, show some empathy, just really look at people and tried to figure out Are they really okay and see if you can help them?

  • That's what they say.

  • And then we look at Joma, our good friend Joma, and he too has been suffering from depression.

  • And I know that they say that you're supposed to show your humane site shows him empathy.

  • But you know what?

  • I just can't do it.

  • This guy just doesn't deserve it.

  • Joma.

  • I mean, just look at him.

  • He's a complete douche bag.

  • He deserves every needing that he got to him, and he deserves more.

  • Frankly, I'm just a little disappointed that the Depression didn't get the best of him.

  • Um, you know what, Joma?

  • I have a message for you.

  • I'm depressed too.

  • Were all depressed.

  • Everybody's depressed.

  • Okay, But we still go on and we still put in our work.

  • We still put in our daily 95.

  • We don't just quit our jobs, You know, we're not just cry babies.

  • You look at the baby and they're crying all the time because they're disappointed that they didn't get their candy.

  • You know what?

  • Hey, none of us got our candy, right?

  • None of us won the lottery.

  • None of us got our perfect lives.

  • But we still have to go through every day and put in the hours, put in the work like responsible adults and not just be cry babies their whole entire lives like you.

  • Okay, You know, I would say that people like Joma truly characterized the millennial generation were just something a little small, right some small little thing obsessed them, and then they just have to quit their entire jobs and they just can't handle anything in their lives.

  • I think millennials.

  • I think this is the first generation that actually coined the term burnout.

  • Right before that, nobody ever got burned out.

  • Put in the work put in the time.

  • You know, this isn't about empathy.

  • This is about sympathy.

  • This is a pity party that Germans trying to throw.

  • And you know what really ticks me off about all this?

  • He put out this video about how depressed he is, all he sold the press.

  • He so said and other trendy YouTubers are due in just these days because this is how you could get views.

  • You just say that you're depressed, and then you want some empathy and dust.

  • The buzz word these days.

  • And you know how many views his last video got?

  • 140,000 views, right 140,000 views.

  • That's ridiculous.

  • Right here I am creating high quality content videos about how you can be successful and see that light of success.

  • And at the same time, people like Joan, But they're just throwing pity Party's about how the press there and then they're getting away.

  • More views than me.

  • You know what?

  • I've had it.

  • I'm the press two.

  • Okay, I'm depressed, you know, so I can get my views now, right?

  • Can I have some empathy?

  • Look, look.

  • Look how soft and gentle I am.

  • I'm I'm a kind, gentle creature, So show me some sympathy, right?

  • Let's bring in the support, thoughts and prayers.

  • Let's bring all of that in.

  • I need the views, at least because at this rate, it doesn't seem to make sense for me to create any other content than about me being depressed.

  • Okay, So here are my top five tips about how to stop being depressed.

  • Tip number one.

  • Just stop being the press, right?

  • Just just knock it off.

  • Right?

  • Snap out of it.

  • Simple as that.

  • Just switch it off easy.

  • Okay.

  • Tip number two.

  • Just stop thinking so much.

  • Just focus on the work, the day to day things that you have to get done.

  • That's what everybody else is doing, right?

  • Stop thinking about yourself so much.

  • It's not about you.

  • It's about the other people around us about making some money.

  • Go to school, get your good grades, go to work, get your money, support your family.

  • That's what most people do these days.

  • That's what Responsible If those are doing that, I'm not just thinking about how they can be an instagram influencer.

  • And now that their lives are ruined, most people can't.

  • OK, tip number three.

  • There is no tip.

  • Number three or four or five.

  • Just get to work Now I have a special message for you, Joma.

  • I'm depressed.

  • I'm the press because depression did not end you.

  • I'm going to come and personally finishes off for you.

  • I will hunt you down and I will give you so many technical interviews.

  • You're going to go back into depression.

  • You're gonna get so depressed that you can't pass any of the technical interviews I'm during that you You're going to get tons of dynamic programming problems.

  • NP complete problems that have no solutions.

  • But I just want to see how far you can get tons of brain teasers like, Why are manhole covers round or how do you climb Mount Fuji?

  • How many gas stations are there in the United States?

  • You're gonna get so many of these.

  • You're gonna get so burned out, you're going to get back into depression.

  • I'm gonna make sure you stay there.

  • That's the thing with these stupid data scientists.

  • They're so ridiculous.

  • You know, they the scientists, niven the job.

  • You know, the fact is, we're all depressed.

  • Everybody's depressed, but only one person can be crying at the time.

  • Right?

  • So if you decide to start crying, everybody has to pay attention to you and make sure you're okay.

  • Everybody else probably has far bigger problems than you.

  • Everybody else really wants to cry, too, but they're holding that back such that they can help make you feel better.

  • You know, there's just completely selfish, unproductive behavior.

  • 100% loss, inefficiency.

  • You lose the whole day.

  • You go around telling people there's like, I'm sad.

  • I'm so sad.

  • It's like, What do you have to be sad about?

  • Right?

  • Your life is better than 99% of other people.

  • Let's take a look at what you've got going for you.

  • You're fairly healthy.

  • You're young.

  • You're working in the nice tech company, right?

  • What's wrong with all that?

  • And then you look other people some starving boy in Afghanistan who's going around in the war field, his legs half full.

  • Enough starving that kid.

  • Okay, that kid is depressed, and that kid is who deserves sympathy, who deserves a little bit of empathy.

  • My heart goes after that kid for someone like Joma.

  • What?

  • Why?

  • Why?

  • Why?

  • Why help him?

  • Why show sympathy for this guy?

  • You know he doesn't deserve it.

  • In fact, if anything, he deserves more depression, not less, right?

  • Let's make him sadder.

  • Does nobody else agree with me, right?

  • Can nobody see my point anyway.

  • They'll do it for me.

  • Charm my recommendations.

  • Number one If you're sad, stop being set.
