  • everybody.

  • How's everybody doing?

  • What a chic.

  • Now I was wondering you, 54 million Instagram followers does that ever?

  • No, I mean, think about that Humble brag, humble brag.

  • I do not think about it like I'm really trying not to think like that's a lot of people like that.

  • Something like I just don't I try to just, like, posted.

  • I think it's cool, you know, like if I do think that think it's cool if I'm you know, But I do.

  • I feel the responsibility.

  • It's like it's a duality, really.

  • It's kind of like there's a sense of, like me ignoring it continue like that's not a real thing.

  • And then also a sense of like, Oh, wow, there's a lot of people watching right now, so I should probably say something and do things that are meaningful because I have, like, an effect over a lot of people, like how many people can have positively affect.

  • How many people can I touch in a good way today, like whether it's even something stupid like, you know, in this crime story where I'm, you know, cracking jokes or whatever, like I just made someone's day like That's cool.

  • You know what?

  • What is the biggest change in the last year?

  • Ben.

  • I'm a Virgo.

  • I'm a perfectionist.

  • It's hard to let things go and not been be easy on myself sometimes.

  • But, um, yeah, just that.

  • Just coming into my own.

  • That's the biggest change for me.

  • I know you had said that your ideal career would be a combination of Oprah, Beyonce and Shonda Rhimes.

  • Yeah, What about those?

  • How What's the ideal Zendaya future?

  • Well, I always think about sometimes if there's not space given to you, sometimes you have to create it.

  • Sometimes it's kind of your job not just to let yourself in, but I mean, my goal at some point is to make room and space for other people concept sometimes that we're taught as we get into a room that we have to slam the door so that nobody else can come in.

  • And sometimes you gotta, like, have the idea to, like, open the door, jam it open and let other people come in as well and fill up that room.

  • Phillip that space and so that that's the idea and the concept.

  • And so I'd love to see more of that.

  • I think in every way I'm learning, You know, I'm learning every day.

  • And I also learned from really, you know, incredible people who are also creating opportunities.

  • And, like I said, creating the things that they want to see, which is really beautiful Tow watch.

  • Sorry.

  • It was really beautiful to watch.

  • I'm just so passionate.

  • There's so many things I want to do.

  • I think everybody has that thought, like, you know, And why not try to do as much as you can.

  • Does that ever feel overwhelming?

  • Like I want to do everything.

  • How am I gonna do it all?

  • You know, it only feels overwhelming when you're doing it.

  • The concept is great E idea, doing everything like I do everything and then you do it and you're like, I don't have time, but it's been it's been great, though, You know, I really I have a good team.

  • I have a good people around me that, like they deal with, like the logistics of things.

  • I'm not good with time.

  • I'm not good with like, all that kind of stuff.

  • I'm just creative flow and do my thing.

  • Just wake me up tell me Want to do it and tell me what time to stop?

  • You know Mags?

  • Let me go.

  • Let me go.

  • So So, Yes, that's the most important thing.

  • Is time management, which I'm not, but I have people were going at it.

  • I enjoy red carpets like, you know, I mean, like most people, you know, a lot of people were actors don't like them, but, like, I'm on those who would rather just do the carpet and nothing else, which is totally the opposite of everyone else.

  • Somebody wants to avoid the pictures.

  • I love it, you know?

  • I mean, like, I practice I'm ready like I have a hair makeup.

  • I love the glamour I love.

  • I love it.

  • It's fun because I feel like I'd get to create different characters.

  • And I feel like through fashion, I have found a sense of confidence.

  • I think my style is law and I worked with him since I was, like, 14 years old.

  • He's been my one and only he came in and he had this beautiful, like vintage y cell bag and I asked him, and I was 14.

  • Omi was like, Oh, my God, is that Why sell?

  • He was like, of course, and I was like their rates and, you know, that's that, you know?

  • And then we've been together ever since, and now he's like family to me.

  • And, um, we really have, like, we have, like a really strong bond.

  • And I think one of the things I've learned from him to fashion just to be fearless and just to just just do it, you know?

  • And if you feel comfortable, if you feel confident when you walk out the door like, why does anybody else's opinion really matters to you and the people who will get it?

  • We'll get it.

  • And so you know, that's that was always kind of The goal was just to just do my thing.

  • If I felt good, there was a time, you know, if I ever felt hesitant, he would always ask me.

  • But do you care, though, And I'd be like, No, I don't You know, the whole point of fashion's polarizing like not everybody's supposed to like it.

  • Not everybody's supposed to hate it like it's supposed to be a discussion.

  • That's the point of fashion and style that everybody is like you know.

  • I mean, like, that's the point, you know?

  • And if you don't like it and that's fine, everyone's entitled to their opinions, you know?

  • And so I just I just like to do whatever I like.

  • Do my make my own make up most of the time?

  • Um, hair's a little bit harder.

  • Justcause.

  • Physically, this is the harder situation to handle.

  • But, um, makeup I love and I I've been learning how to do my makeup since, like, I was a kid because, you know, you're in the industry.

  • You, like you pretty much have had a 1,000,000,000 makeup artists.

  • The good, bad like I've been, you know, super pale, been orange, like I've been like all of it.

  • And so after a while, you just learned, like, I know what I like and you pick up different pieces from different people.

  • And like like this technique whom I don't like this and you pick up products and pick up things, you just figure it out.

  • So then I just decided it's better if I do it or there's like one other person that I used, but I'm very, very particular back to the Virgo things.

  • Best advice to young creators and artists.

  • I would say one thing is like, Um when it comes to being creative and being an artist, it's a beautiful, wonderful thing and always create your craft.

  • Do what you love to do, but also learn about the business side of the industry that you're in because that's what people think.

  • They can get you because you're young and you're creative and you're not thinking about the contract that you're signing right now.

  • You know what I mean?

  • So just make sure that you learn as much as you can also buy the business portion so that you can really run things and create things on your own.

  • And, um, you know, not deal with that situation where you wake up one day and you're like, Oh, I've been working so hard, but I don't have anything to show for it who took advantage of me?

  • You know what I mean?

  • And you don't have to learn the lesson in the long run.

  • So I would say Just learn about the business and make sure you take care of yourself, and I just My thing is not to get down on yourself about things not being exactly how you envisioned right away.

  • You know, sometimes it takes time and it takes, you know, stumbling a few times.

  • It takes failing a few times to figure it out.

  • You know, it's rare that people just like overnight success like it doesn't always happen.

  • And it sometimes you just gotta just figure it out like like we humans do, you know?

  • So that that's that's my number.

  • One piece of advice is, is, you know, except the failures and learn, learn from them, make them lessons and just go harder the next time.

  • Great.

  • Well, we're gonna end on that note.

  • Let's all thanks and day after being so, Thank you guys.

everybody.
