  • okay.

  • Subscribers.

  • Well, I haven't gotten that.

  • Go to response to my efforts to get you to make videos, to shoot yourself, to shoot someone, you know, to send me the unedited material, as Reese did.

  • I hope you've all gotten a chance to look at what he did.

  • I photo was terrific.

  • He did a great job.

  • The guy should go to Hollywood.

  • Some people say, and I agree.

  • Some of you have been asking me How did I get to be 78 years old, Feeling like I do my outlook the way it is, my energy, my passion.

  • And I've decided to put down on this video some sort of suggested rules.

  • So I have some notes.

  • The first Here's a good one.

  • I learned early on in life change what you can and accept what you can't now.

  • You've all heard that, but I mean it.

  • If you can't accept something that's happening to you, but it's real and it's happening.

  • The grief it causes you isn't worth what you can't change anyway.

  • But the question is, what can you change and what can you not change?

  • The biggest thing you can change in my experience in life is your attitude, your attitude.

  • If something horrible is happening, you're sick.

  • You're dying.

  • Your attitude can still be positive.

  • This is interesting.

  • This is beautiful.

  • Oh, today I feel the air on the water.

  • Oh, today the sun is shining through my window.

  • No matter what's happening to you, if you change your attitude, I believe that the universe or whatever you believe in God, will make things better for you, I believe, and my experiences that the universe wants to do what you want.

  • So if your attitude is our this is bad.

  • Oh, I'm bad.

  • Oh, he's bad.

  • Oh, it's bad.

  • Oh, this is a terrible day.

  • That's what it's going to give you.

  • That's my experience.

  • It sounds crazy when I say it.

  • It sounds like all come on.

  • But it's really it's really I can tell you that Israel from my own thousands of times where I have changed my attitude, I don't know if you've seen this video, but I have a video off me.

  • After a fire destroyed most of my archive and much of my house.

  • My archive was my asset.

  • I didn't have anything else.

  • That's what I was gonna leave my Children on the fire destroyed a good part of it.

  • And my attitude is what got me through it and got me to make something good out of it.

  • So I'd like you to look at that video if you get the chance.

  • It's 59 minutes long because I hoped, and I still hoped that PBS would run it so we could up other people who've been through real crap for hurricanes, fires, you know, earthquakes, more personal things that destroyed their homes in their lives.

  • To some extent, it's obvious from the way I've lived and how I speak to you that I believe in a creative life.

  • I believe in being creative, expressing your passion.

  • What is the problem?

  • Not everybody feels passionate about anything.

  • Feels passion.

  • My daughter, when I was raising her when she was 19 I said, Well, what's your passion?

  • She said, I don't have one.

  • Oh, what do you do if you don't feel passion for anything and you stuck, you gotta make a living.

  • You got a family.

  • You want to do something you love.

  • But what's that?

  • I found there's some way to find your passion and It's a technique that I've used really with.

  • Everyone I know who asks me and for myself.

  • And that is forget about passion.

  • If you haven't, you're lucky if you don't, you're not unlucky.

  • The real issue is curiosity.

  • Is there anything you're curious about?

  • Curious.

  • Even a slight bit.

  • I wanna know more about that.

  • What's that?

  • Mmm.

  • Let me find out more.

  • That's the start of passion.

  • Carry it as far as you can when you're curious.

  • Spend your nights up, read books, talk to people, Look and try to find out.

  • Maur, The weather is so amazing for this because I find that leads so often to the direction that I should take.

  • It's not because I feel oh, passionate about trees, but I am curious to they talk to each other.

  • I really am.

  • So I've read a lot about that, how trees communicate and I'm going to do something with that someday.

  • Don't know when, but I think curiosity, curiosity, curiosity.

  • If you're not curious about anything, then you are depressed.

  • And if I'm depressed, I gotta change my attitude before curiosity begins to appear.

  • When I was young, I had a lot of typical teenage angst.

  • I don't know why the girls in my class didn't think about me.

  • Always the way I wanted them to.

  • I didn't like it.

  • Sure, that was wearing.

  • I didn't think it was tall enough.

  • And how did I deal with that?

  • Well, not well.

  • But my mother had a method which I still use.

  • The calendar.

  • She was right down on the counter.

  • David, you feel too short.

  • Let's see how you feel.

  • A month from now and a month from now he was always different.

  • It was either something new that was bothering me.

  • What was bothering me wasn't bothering me anymore.

  • Time passing.

  • Incredible, isn't it?

  • I used time over and over again.

  • Right now.

  • This has really got me.

  • I can't even sleep.

  • But well, let's be that way in a week.

  • Let's see.

  • Then I go on and you all know one way or another about the present.

  • The present is amazing right now, today that sun is shining.

  • I feel good.

  • I'm happy to be talking to you.

  • Really honored to be talking to you so excited about my YouTube channel and about the people I'm connecting with.

  • I try to connect with all of you.

  • As you can see by the amount of likes and every once in a while, comments.

  • My family says I spend too much time with it.

  • I don't know.

  • But in any case, I hope these few suggestions have helped you made you think about your own life and how to live it creatively, passionately, with curiosity, living each day and whenever possible, whenever possible, changing your attitude.

  • Thank you once again for asking the questions I hope to do.

  • More videos CIA soon.

okay.
