[laughing] [soft music] - [Woman] I'm gonna ask you a bit about your friendship with Lewis. - Aw, how long have you got? - Who? [laughing] - We met on social media, I slid into his DMs, my cousin showed me his music online when he had very small amount of views on a Vevo video. - I was already established as an artist, I was already, you know, smashing it in the charts, tickets were flying out, off the shelves. - It's because of me that he's so famous. - He said to me, "Lewis, you, I'm kinda releasing this "new album at the minute, you know I'm struggling "to kinda fins my own feet as a solo artist, "and obviously you seem to be doing such a good job." - I just wrote to him and said, love your voice, think you're funny, do you wanna get married? And no, do you wanna come and play a show with me? - You're the best solo artist in the world and I was like, that's crazy, that's crazy talk. - And he came to Glasgow, where he's from and the rest is history. First time I met him, I just thought he was a lunatic, it was Saint Patrick's Day, we'd a few beers. - And yeah that was it, he was, yeah, lovely chap, a lot smaller than I'd anticipated, a lot smaller in real life. - We got very drunk and then we both played a show the next day, which was fun. - A good kid with a kind heart, that's what I thought, this kid's got something. - Well he's definitely more famous now. And he's starting to change now that he's had a hit. - Ever since then, there's my wing, he's under it. - He's got the biggest song in the world right now and he knows it, he claims that he's all humble and that but he's not, he's lost the plot. - I've just really been showing him the ropes in the industry. - We usually bond over heavy, copious amounts of alcohol. - Right now when we're both in our 20s, that's a very nice thing to say, oh we both love a drink and everyone goes. [laughing] Look at these crazy scamps. When we get into our 40s and 50s, and we say, oh we bond over alcohol, that becomes quite sad. - I guess we're in, supposedly into the same type of sad music. - We both love, and him a bit more than me, him a bit more than me, we both love my music. We always land on the same things, you know, my voice, my lyrics are so good, but, that's what he says. - He's very funny to be around, he makes me feel funnier, even though I'm not that funny at all. Hangs around with me, maybe it's 'cause I'm famous. And he's just big into famous things these days. - All joking aside, I'm a big fan of his and have been for a long time. - I love this guy, he's the funniest person I know, and I'm so proud of him. - Before any of my music was doing fuck all, he's one of the first people to reach out and say they love my music and it meant a lot to me. - That little boy from Scotland, taking over the planet with the biggest song in the world.
