Today we're counting down our picks for the top 10 animation mistakes in Steven Universe.

Ah, that's too many pearls.

We should probably give you a nickname.

That means we're looking at those little animation glitches and errors in one of our favorite Cartoon Network shows, including the original Siri's, the TV movie and the spinoff epilogue.

Now some of these are easy to miss unforgivable, but others are hilariously embarrassing to look back on.

Also, because a lot of these happened at the middle of climactic moments in the show.

A spoiler alert is now in effect.

All right, let's check it out.

Number 10 Garnets Missing forearm.

You're not the only one with surprises.

After reuniting with his friends on Homeworld, Stephen thinks he may finally have the solution on how to bring the diamonds together.

So it seems like everything will be okay, right?

Well, except for one minor issue.

While Garnett is listening to Stevens plan, one of her forearms is missing.

You guys would still drop everything to hang out with me.

This goof might be easier to dismiss because our favorite fusion has her arms crossed.

But taking into account the color of her sleeves, it's easier to see that the forearm is completely gone.

To be fair, though, she seems too busy listening to Stevens plan to notice her misplaced limb.

I'm gonna throw a huge ball, and I'm gonna invite everyone.

Number nine The cabinets in here.

Yes, to get Steven to participate in Steven Tag Garnet tricks him into checking one of the cabinets where amethyst awaits to spring.

A surprise tag attack, however, pay close attention to the cabinets during the intercut between Steven and Garnett.

In one frame, the cabinets have regular knobs, but in another frame they have curved handles.

Instead.

We already know the gems have shape shifting powers, but apparently the beach house has inherited the same abilities since.

The handles don't even come close to matching Steven, maybe too busy frantically trying to survive the game to notice.

But we can't unsee.

This were continuity.

Error number eight Spin L's P.

O.

V.

It's horrible to think about how Spinelli has been waiting for Pink Diamond's return for thousands of years on Lee to finally move After seeing Stephen's message to the universe, however, there's something off about the perspective of when she first learned the truth.

When we get the first glimpse of her in the opening, she's seen facing the broadcast.

As much as I've loved dismantling the empire all your planet, I can't wait to get home and spend some quality time with my friends.

Yet during spin L's P.

O V flashback, we see that she was facing away from the communicator during the message and actually had to turn and run towards it.

Finally, something finally knew.

Continuity.

Error is a little drawing from a critical point of view, but the tense emotion of the scene more than makes up for it and isn't that cruel?

And aren't I have happily listen.

Number seven.

The Disappearing Box.

Steven is excited to show off his new cheeseburger backpack fresh out of the box to the gyms and possibly take it out on a mission because I can help carry for you in this.

However, if you pay close attention between the two wide shots of Steven introducing the backpack and then preparing for the mission, you'll notice that something goes missing.

But This is obviously important gem business.

The box that the blessed backpack came in just vanishes into thin air, never to be seen for the rest of the episode, even the cheeses a pocket I could fit a lot more stuff in here.

Give me a minute.

We get that the box served its purpose and isn't needed anymore.

But it's kind of unsettling to think of a prop just vanishing out of the blue after it's done being useful.

It's also not good for continuity, either.

Number six Spin L's Crooked Heart Horsemen L being abandoned by Pink Diamond really turned her life and her heart shaped gemstone upside down.

However, during her in Steven's final Battle, when she yells, It's Steven to stop singing, you can see that her gem is right side up again.

Just can.

It won't.

Yeah, now Spindel may defy the laws of physics with her cartoony antics, but we're fairly certain that a gemstone is locked in place until the gem changes her form or regenerates after taking too much damage.

Either way, it seems weird that she'd briefly readjust her heart back into its original position just before she tries to punch Steven's leg.

So all that stuff sees for you to say When you change, you change for the better.

Number five Dr Stevens gloves So how would you like your magical spit administer today?

A good medical professional should always have rubber gloves handy, especially when administering magical healing.

Spit.

When Dr Stephen goes to Pearl for advice on how to heal pink pearls crack, he can still be seen wearing a pair of gloves.

However, there's a brief moment where his gloves disappear, only to reappear in the following shot.

For the rest of the scene.

She was moms.

I mean, Pink Diamond's pearl to a long time ago.

And Pearl, you remember Pearl.

She was also Pink Diamond's pearl.

That's too many pearls.

That seems like Stephen couldn't decide between taking them off for leaving them on.

So the artists decided for him by forgetting to paint them on for a moment.

Yeah, nickname.

You know, it's not like they helped with healing pink pearl scars, but it's a lot more hygienic with the gloves than without them.

Number four.

Return of Ogi and a Fist.

What you barely changed whenever a gem regenerates after being poofed, they regenerate with an entirely new outfit.

By this episode, Amethysts Duds consisted of a black tank top and move leggings.

However, in sworn to the sword for one single shot AM a Fist is dawning.

Her original outfit move top black leggings and a single bra strap showing she wants Connie to do all this dangerous stuff.

For me, that makes sense.

On the one hand, it's only been one episode since amethysts regeneration, so it must have taken a bit for the change to set in.

On the other hand, continuity is a fragile thing, so artists really have to be careful about backpedaling like this, even if it was for a short instance, you located number three.

Business Missing pants.

When it comes to animation goofs, this next one means serious business.

After giving them their upgraded weapons, bismuth and the crystal gems engage in a little sparring session.

However, in one shot after bismuth blocks and attack, her pants disappear.

I don't recall asking you to bring the spear.

We know gems can magically change their clothes at the drop of a hat, but to lose your pants in the middle of a brawl is a little impractical.

What's even funnier is that business pants actually vanished earlier in the episode as well.

But here it's a lot more obvious.

We thought you'd been captured or, worse shattered.

To be fair, it's not uncommon to slip up when coloring for a fast paced brawl, but it's still embarrassing to pause and look back at Number two Rubies Missing Gem.

As any Steven Universe fan knows, a gem's gemstone is the main source of their physical body.

But what happens when said Gem goes missing Our Rubies gem is embedded on her left palm, and yet throughout the episode hit the diamond, her gem is either not drawn in or disappears in between shots.

In fact, in one instance, you actually see her gemstone for almost a second, and then it randomly vanishes in the same shot Go, we get the gem.

Stones are hard to draw.

Sometimes it's hard to just get the facets right, but without them, our favorite gems cannot physically exist.

This is why artists should try to be a little more careful with this one detail.

Now, I just want to be clear that just because we're pointing out these animation errors does not mean we love the show any less.

Or that we're calling it bad in any way.

However, number one is objectively the most noticeable.

So let's look through some honorable or dishonorable mentions.

And then we'll see if the number one Steven Universe animation error is one you picked up on.

You think that Just say, Theo, I'm coming in to Booth.

The world is turning.

Haven't you noticed?

I made it this far.

Now everyone can see me burn jury mind so much.

A lot of these errors have been minor slip ups, but taking the number one spot is the mistake we cannot overlook.

The gems have just shown off their parental abilities, which makes Connie's parents more comfortable with Steven hanging out with their daughter.

So happy ending, right?

Well, except for one thing.

The star on Steven shirt disappears.

It isn't obscured by anything like Stevens arms.

It's just completely gone for one whole shot.

But I see that you are responsible parents, thio, caregivers, guardians.

What makes this so inexcusable is because the star is a trademark for the Siri's Stephen shirts, the Crystal gems, insignia, even the Siri's iris out all have stars in them.

If there is no star to represent, we're not even sure what show this is.

If all animation were perfect, we wouldn't have hot dogs.
