  • It might not be the greatest game, but we are embarking on a new series today to help you virtually get away from all this Corona virus news, and it's coming up in just a couple minutes.

  • The reason we're doing this is because an increasing number of people are under stay at home shelter in place or straight lock down orders.

  • The government of India, the world's second most populated country, has made it illegal for people to leave their homes.

  • More than 1.3 billion residents will be expected to stay put for 21 days.

  • In the United Kingdom's locked down, people are allowed to go outdoors, but only to get groceries, go to the doctor, exercise or goto work.

  • If they can't do that from home, If they're caught breaking that law, they'll be fined 35 bucks on the spot in the U.

  • S.

  • There are now 16 states whose residents are under staying home orders that impacts 142 million people, or more than 40% of America's population, and looking at the world as a whole.

  • The FT news agency estimates that more than 2.6 1,000,000,000 people that's 1/3 of the global population has been told to stay home.

  • This is all being done to encourage social distancing, keeping people apart from each other because Corona virus spread so easily.

  • How long will all this last?

  • No one knows.

  • Some experts say it could be weeks.

  • Some say it could last for months.

  • There are some medications already in existence that could be useful in Fighting Cove in 19 but they're still being studied, and doctors say people should not try to self medicate with them, as some have already overdosed or died doing that.

  • Since we now have people who have recovered from the Corona virus, is it possible to develop some sort of treatment using the antibodies that they developed his response to the disease?

  • As a matter of fact, that's exactly what we're doing.

  • We're gearing up for a study of both convalescent serum, which is a big word to say, taking the serum from someone who's completely recovered, getting it in a way that you could re infuse it and somebody else, or getting out the proteins, the gamma globulin, the antibodies from that serum and use it as a way of both treatment and possibly prophylaxis, but mostly treatment.

  • Very good question.

  • It's one of our top priorities.

  • At what point?

  • With a ramp up testing to those who do not have symptoms so they can find out how the virus is spreading.

  • I know right now they do not have enough tests.

  • But wouldn't it be prudent to get enough test to include young people without symptoms?

  • The critical issue is to get the testing first to those areas where you have somebody who is in fact having symptoms and you want to see if they're in fact, in fact, that the idea of doing a broad screening, including a symptomatic people, is not a bad idea.

  • I've been talking about that for a while, but when you prioritize what you need to do, we really need to get the testing to the people who are in a situation where you really need to know you're in a restaurant who is either ill with the virus or is not aware that they have the virus comes in contact with the food or the packaging.

  • Is it then possible that I can contract the virus through that food or the packaging What about that?

  • It's interesting.

  • So first of all, you're not going to, you know, get it from the food that you're eating.

  • This isn't one of those types of viruses.

  • It is a respiratory virus.

  • I think the highest risk moment in getting food delivered to you is actually the face to face interaction.

  • If you have one with the delivery person, so ideally you would be able to pay them online, tipped them online or whatever platform you're using for ordering food and then have them leave it outside your door, wait till they leave and then get the food.

  • Are we being advised to stay away from local, state and national parks and beaches at this time as well?

  • I want to still be able to enjoy the outdoors, but do so responsibly calling social distancing another way.

  • Hear this a lot of Sanjay?

  • Yeah.

  • Look, I mean, there's no reason why you can't go outside.

  • That's ah ah, It's one of those things where you you talk about this social or physical distancing as I like to call it.

  • You just gotta maintain that when you're outside as well.

  • And if you're if you're exercising, If you're riding a bike or something like that, make sure you're wiping surfaces and still practicing good hygiene, You Second trivia.

  • Which of these events took place in 18 96 1st modern Olympics Spanish American War, Chicago World's Fair were discovery of X rays in 18 96.

  • The first modern Olympics were held in Athens.

  • Grace, the site of the ancient Games.

  • Olympians air among the growing number of people who won't be traveling in the weeks ahead, at least not to Japan.

  • Because of the Corona virus threat, the Summer Games in Tokyo have officially been postponed for about a year.

  • That announcement was made Tuesday.

  • Whether you call it locked down, cooped up or cut off, we know many of you won't be traveling for spring break.

  • Some summer vacation plans have been put on hold, so we're taking some virtual vacation starting right now, and our first field trip flows through a lava tube of Hawaii.

  • Just imagine, about 500 years ago, lava flooding down through this tube.

  • It's about a mile long, and for the celebration of the centennial of the park, they're letting very small, select groups take a tour through here let me introduce you to ab AB is gonna show us through the tunnel.

  • Welcome to poor poor Paul is so delicate in here and it's so fragile.

  • This place is awesome.

  • And I feel like a guest in here every time it's in your let's go.

  • All right.

  • The hell am I?

  • Which means follow me.

  • All of this was scoured up by the love and then roof area was the top there crusted over to be able to move this much and created tube, it must be pretty fast.

  • You cannot run that kind of.

  • If you can imagine, it's really hot in here.

  • And the lava just melts the upper surface and causes sickles.

  • These things are coming from the ceiling of the lava tube and above us is rainforest.

  • You can call it almost.

  • Looks like some big earth moving equipment came through here and dug up the bottom of the game.

  • This waas the upper surface and then this is all still motive flowing underneath it till it all trained.

  • We're in the area that's called the amphitheater because there's a big opening here in the absence of light.

  • Then this place becomes totally and utterly black.

  • This is the area where we need to crouch, and when you get to the other side, don't stand up to seven.

  • These are the standing Lovell waves and can ebb and flow, so it came through it hard and threw it hard.

  • And this is the only place that we know where this is.

  • A frozen standing love away for mission opportunity.

  • It looks staged like a Hollywood set.

  • So at this point, actually, if you see above, that's our exit.

  • Wow, that's amazing.

  • This isn't just another way folks are staying in shape while under lock down.

  • It is probably a world record, at least for this French man's balcony, because he's not just taking laps on it.

  • He's running a marathon, but Carl, you might be saying his balconies only 23 feet across.

  • That's right, he says.

  • It took about 3000 laps, and then he completed the feat in six hours and 48 minutes.

  • Keep in mind, he had to stop and turn around every 23 feet, which is itself a feet or DP for his feet because with all the about faces, it makes for harder races.

  • As you're taking all these places, we're not going anyplace is he amazes as he pushes for always turning back and forth.

  • Reebok, Nike, Saucony should all sponsor his balcony.

  • Where with these runners pride, he takes it all its drive.

  • All right up.

  • Carla's News from the state of Georgia Shout out to our viewers in the Republic of Georgia, where we're happy to be part of your day at Qs i International School of Tbilisi.
