But I think it's still worth having a little look around Lamoreaux over stand because they've gone big this year on there's a few details, a few accessories, a few different versions that I want to show you, starting with this, which is the 1 10 fitted with the Explorer pack.

So that's the full house off road accessory pack, snorkel roof, rack, roof ladder, a kind of pani, a box on the other side that you see normally tires.

This is the one that will take you across the Sahara Desert.

What's interesting about this car is I've now had a few hours to digest social media reaction to it.

But there are a few barbed comments that would be named it one that I heard that I particularly liked.

It looks a bit like the Skoda Yeti.

It looks a bit like the Fiat 500 x.

That price is gonna go up and up.

So there have been a few comments saying it's too expensive.

Well, you know what?

It's a modern premium SUV loaded with technology.

It can be priced in line with the old defender.

Those days have gone.

This is a new car, yet it's expensive.

But by God, is it capable?

Okay, so we're almost getting used to the fact that say, At spun off its performance arm Cooper as a set for entity.

And you know why they keep making concept cars that look as good as this one?

We might let them off the hook entirely.

This is called the Tavern Scan concept.

I hope I pronounce that right on all electric SUV concept.

The interesting thing about this is because VW Group has now established its electric box of bits.

It's platform.

Its technology is set in stone.

Now it can start with some fun messing around with the top hats that it puts on top of that skateboard platform.

And, of course, we're gonna be seeing a lot of SUVs in the future.

But tell you what, isn't it a good looking thing?

This What's interesting is when you try and change a combustion engine car to electric.

Well, you have to blank off grills that were there for Aaron takes originally.

But this one?

No, you could design it from scratch.

You can have more fun with the front end.

You can make it concave.

You can give it dimpling.

You don't need to suck in air through their because batteries have less cooling requirements around the back.

Another little interesting design feature this three D tell light signature that runs right across the back.

It even makes that coop for a tramp stamp logo looked pretty cool.

I'm not ready to give them for that quite yet, But we're on our way there.

Carbon fibre trim everywhere.

Copper de tailing, as is the Cooper way on on the inside.

Well, it's standard concept carfare, twinkly lights everywhere, lots of carbon fibre.

On one interesting feature, I wanted to point out in the middle of the dash a 13 inch screen that could tip towards the driver or towards the passengers, so there's no need for an additional passenger screen plunked above the glove box.

What led to 280 miles on a charge north 66.5 seconds.

The numbers are good on the signs of good for this car.

You know what?

I bet my house in two years they're gonna put one of these into production apologies for the lighting.

That looks a bit like we're in a brothel.

But how clever is this?

BMW has found a way of hiding its, shall we say, dubious looking x six in plain sight like that, it's covered in a special kind of paint developed by a British company no less called sorry nano systems.

I think the paint's called Vantu Black absorbs well, but nor point north 35% of light that shines on it, which basically just makes it look like a hole in the universe.

It's a material, a spray of coating, if you like.

That's being used on bears components that being sent into space because it has heat shield properties, too.

But hey, anything that can turn the BMW six into a black hole has to be a good thing, because I'd like to make things as difficult as possible for our cameraman.

The next car analyst is in a glass box with glass that flashes and goes a Pake occasionally.

That's because if you peer through here, it's a car in camouflage.

But not any old car.

This is the second production model from the VW Idee family to the I.

D three is being revealed today in production form.

This is the next one is gonna launch next year, and it's based around the idea.

This one here looks like the normal shape.

As you'd expect, there is gonna be a coupe, a version basically the same car, just with less headroom and less boot space in the back.

Now the point of this car is they want to sell 100,000 electric idee.

VW's a year by 2020 on.

To do so, they need to sell quite a lot of them in America.

This is the carbon that is going to appeal two American buyers because they love an SUV.

The difference to the I D three that Israel will drive only said the most powerful model is 200 or career will drive this full drive, of course.

So 200 horsepower motor on the rear axle and then 100 horsepower motor on the front axle for will drive 300 horsepower and 83 kilowatt.

This is our these latest off road SUV concept.

It's called a trail on.

What's significant here is that is part of a family of four cars over there.

You've got the aye aye race kind of the future of the R eight.

An electric race car.

A supercar view like this is the off Roader down there.

The Aye, Aye me.

Which is the small city car and down the far end.

The Aye, aye con, which is the level five fully autonomous car.

The idea is that in the future, you could potentially have a subscription to all four of these.

And then just pick the one you want, depending on whether your you know, doing the North Coast 500 in your electric race car or you want to go and drive up the mountain, which is what this car should do, and it's got some absolutely brilliant features on this thing.

Firstly, it's all electric, of course.

Obviously a motor in each were 1000 new means of talk, which should be pretty handy.

These wheels yes, they self inflate and self deflate, depending on where you're driving on sand or road or whatever situation it detects urine.

There's also dampers built into the tire, so you get an extra two inch of suspension travel just from the wheels.

They're really pulling their weight.

These things up here, this is very cool.

You notice the car doesn't actually have headlines?

No, that's because it's got drones instead.

Yeah, up there, a couple of drones that deploy when it gets dark and fly ahead of the car, illuminating the road in front of you.

And then when you get to your picnic spot, you're camping spot.

Well, they can fly over the campfire and illuminate whatever you're doing there.

Genius.

Climbing up into the A I trail concept.

Couple of things I want to mention first is there is basically no dials in front of you.

Everything runs for your smartphones or in the future, your smartphone is gonna become even more important, and probably even more addictive.

Instead of that, you've got this huge luggage space in front of you where the dash and all the dials and screens would normally be handy on behind you.

It gets better because while these seats look pretty mean for rear passengers compared to the front seats well, actually, when you get to your camping spot, you can remove these and use them as hammocks for chilling out while your drones fly overhead on, illuminate your lovely, twinkly evening.

It's all quite clever, isn't it?
