WASABEEF就是山葵牛肉口味的洋芋片

And I was just sooo in love with these

我超愛吃這個！

I think I made my first cell phone mail address

我記得我的第一台日本手機郵件信箱，就是設定成「[email protected]」

So I was just so in love with this chips

因為我太愛這個洋芋片了XD

and I've always liked them since then

自從我吃過第一片後就死心塌地愛上了

Yesterday I was at the supermarket and I found these!

昨天我逛超市時，發現了新口味！

So these are the original, and these are the ones I found yesterday

右邊是原味，左邊是我昨天新發現的口味

What these are is wasabi-nuki Wasabeef

這裡寫著「拿掉山葵！？」的WASABEEF

"without wasabi" These are Wasabeef without the wasabi

意思是不含山葵，所以這是山葵牛肉(不含山葵)的口味

Which leaves you with Beef & Beef... so these are beef flavour

也就是雙重牛肉，白話就是牛肉口味啦XD

I really wanted to try them

我很想吃吃看

These are so "natsukashii" for me

這是我懷念的好味道

When I see a new version of them, I just have to try it

而當我看到新口味時，我一定要試試

At the top here it says: We listened to your requests and started selling these!

上面寫著：我們聽到大家的心聲，開始販售了！

I guess this is the Twitter account of the company that makes these

我猜這是這間公司的推特帳號

apparently they got lots of requests for wasabi-nuki Wasabeef

顯然有一堆顧客建議他們開發不含山葵的口味

So I hope they're good! Let's try them!

First I'm going to try the originals and try my best to explain the flavour to you guys

首先我要先吃原味，盡我所能解釋這個絕妙滋味給你們

They just look like regular potato chips

看起來像一般的洋芋片

Nothing really special about the appearance

外觀沒什麼特別的

kinda orange

顏色有點橘

itadakimasu!

我要開動了！

They're so good!

好好吃~

They're very similar to a barbecue flavoured chip

和BBQ口味的洋芋片很像

Kinda sweet

但比較甜

Then just a slight hint of wasabi flavour

然後帶點淡淡的山葵味道

They're not super spicy or anything

一點都不會太辣

But I always feel like when you get near the bottom of the bag your mouth is just starting to burn

但我每次吃到最後，就會覺得嘴巴像火在燒

I love these so much

我真的好愛這個

And the chips themselves are really flaky and...

口感非常酥脆

Hard to explain... they're not super crunchy they're just like

好難解釋...不是超有嚼勁的那種

flaky... like a flaky pie crust kind of

有點像酥脆的派皮

Please try these if you come to Japan, can't recommend them enough

雙重牛肉口味

Oh they look the same!

喔 看起來一樣

Oh these ones are a little less orange! Which is interesting... pretty similar though

是淡橘色！滿有趣的，長得很像

itadakimasu!

They taste completely different!

吃起來完全不同！

Whoaaa...

I wasn't expecting them to taste this different

我沒想到吃起來會這麼不同

They're a really subtle flavor and they really do taste like beef

味道非常淡，吃起來超像牛肉

they definitely have a meaty flavour to them

這裡頭絕對加了牛肉香精

the Wasabeef ones, not so much. It's kinda like a smokey BBQ kinda flavour

原味WASABEEF的牛肉味就沒這麼強，比較像煙燻BBQ

But these definitely taste like beef

但這個就像在吃牛肉

I don't really like these, the flavour is really subtle

我不太喜歡這個，味道很淡

They're okay

還可以

They're okay... they still have the same awesome texture of the originals, which I like

還是那種我喜歡的酥脆口感

But the flavour itself isn't very good

但我不愛它的口味

on the back here it's got a funny story explaining how this whole wasabi-nuki Wasabeef started

背後是研發這個口味時發生的趣事

It started out as an April Fool's joke on the Yamayoshi Seika twitter in 2014

這個口味誕生自2014年愚人節在公司推特上的一則玩笑

But some people thought it would be interesting if they actually existed, so...

但很多人覺得如果這個口味存在的話，會滿有趣的

We promised to create wasabi-nuki Wasabeef if our tweet got 80,044 retweets

於是我們承諾，如果推文達到80,044條的話，就開發這個口味

In the end we didn't reach that number, but it got retweeted over 41,000 times, more than expected

雖然最後目標沒達成，但還是有41.000條推文，超乎我們的預期

and we got replies like "I want to try them!" "Please actually make these!"

許多人留言「好想吃啊~」、「請商品化吧！」

So we decided to start selling them!

所以這個口味才得以販售

Interesting! Well, that's how these came about

好有趣！那就是這個洋芋片的由來

and I think that's really cool that they attempted making them just because everyone thought it'd be interesting

我覺得他們開發這個口味的初衷只是因為大家覺得很有趣，這一點很酷！

But I'm not very impressed with the flavour

但我真的不太喜歡這個味道

They're ok! They're not bad.

還可以，不算太差

It's just that these ones are so good that you can't really make anything better than them

只是因為原味好吃到難以超越

So definitely try these, these are amazing

絕對要試試原味，太好吃了

I hope they're around forever

我希望這個口味永遠都買得到
