  • This is a new station? Yeah.

  • (In Japanese) A new station is wonderful!

  • OK - heading to Sketchers. Ben's going to buy me some new shoes.

  • I'm pretty sure no one's ever filmed here before.

  • I might be the first one. Yeah. Exactly.

  • This is a Taiwanese candy.

  • So we're doing likewe're going to get shoes. I think we're going to get steak or something.

  • We'll see. Steak and shoes.

  • So what do I do?

  • I dropped this candy that Ben gave me. It hit the ground, but just barely before I picked it up.

  • So do you eat it or not? Ben?

  • Off the streets of Shibuya, straight to your mouth.

  • Oh man!

  • Let's go get me some Sketchers.

  • Alright, we found a bunch of shoes that we like here.

  • I'm going to try this one. Oh yeah.

  • And another one of these that they're bringing out.

  • So once we find something that we like we have to call our wives to see if they approve.

  • My shoes were already approved by Ruth, so I'm good to go.

  • OK, here's our big "Japanese" meal for the night! (laughs)

  • Alright.

  • I can't wait to see this.

  • No! Check out my favorite music store first here.

  • Now this is a bonafide music store here.

  • I've bought a couple of my keyboards here at this shop because it's so cool.

  • And I geek out over keyboards.

  • Oh oh — I am salivating here. I've never seen this in person.

  • The Nord Grand.

  • Is this it here? Where are we looking at?

  • Here it is. I can't believe, but it actually exists.

  • The Nintendo Store.

  • There you go. A life-sized Link.

  • What do you think? Add to our collection?

  • (Ben) Joshua would love it.

  • That's Ben's style, right there.

  • Not to be left out, there's a Disney Store here too.

  • It looks like a Disney Castle, doesn't it?

  • Heading back home.

  • There it goes.

  • There goes the people.

  • OK, lay down. Look at those Mario jammies!

  • Oh, those are so cool! Lay down and I'll cover you up with your Mario blanky.

  • We're going to go to the City Hall and see my drawing that got chosen.

  • Anna’s drawing was chosen as one of two drawings from the whole local 4th grade of 120 students to be displayed at city hall.

  • Art from students through the entire ward was on display.

  • Magical Flower!

  • Let's get a picture.

  • Oh my goodness! The girls are going to be so happy!

  • It's starting to snow! It's changing over to snow!

  • Hey guys! Did you look outside?

  • I don't know who's more excited that it's snowing. Me or the kids. Me!

  • You?! Us!

  • Really? I'm not sure.

  • Did you know it's snowing? Mmmm.

  • Vovó's excited too, see?

  • It's snowing! It's really snowing!

  • This is a momentous occasion.

  • Booyah! Isn't there a specific way that these go, though?

  • We are teaching the girls one of our favorite games.

  • Settlers of Catan.

  • Shhh! This is a secret! Only 12 years old and up can play, but we're 10.

  • Shh! Do not tell anybody!

  • Give me a wheat... ... for a stone...

  • ...for a wheat.

  • A wheat for a wheat?! It doesn't make any sense.

  • Hey Anna, I can give you a brick for a stone...

  • Playing with 10 year olds...

  • Give me some cards.

  • When teaching two 10-year olds how to play Catan, the game takes like 2 hours.

  • Two hours.

  • It’s a privilege to live in the greater Tokyo area,

  • but it’s an even greater privilege to see our family thrive,

  • each and every person growing up in the purposes God has for them.

  • We are not perfect, but love is there to cover our imperfections.

  • Love is the generous environment in which we as humans thrive.

  • It doesn’t matter your nationality, we all, from old to young need love.

  • And the highest form of love is God himself, perfectly expressed in Jesus Christ.

  • This love is our secret for living a joyful life, wherever we may find ourselves.

  • Our joy is sharing this love with you.

  • Until next time, well see you on Life in Japan!
