  • low, everyone.

  • Oh, my goodness.

  • It is an absolute madhouse today in my house.

  • Finally, I am getting around Thio of logging a bit of a house update, which is very, very long overdue.

  • Andi, it's so funny because I felt like for a while it was like it was too much coming your way in terms of, like, house stuff.

  • Now I'm like, I just don't have the time to film anything, so I'm really, really sorry, But I also feel like we've started the next stage off the house.

  • Renovations on dhe.

  • There's Oh, yeah.

  • Okay.

  • No, open the chest.

  • I'll give up painting.

  • Killed.

  • Yeah.

  • Yeah, We've comes and interrupts me blogging and showed me up anyway.

  • So to bring you up to speed on where we are at on what the plans are, we currently have our new staircase almost in completely.

  • So this week we start off the week with old staircase to the third floor being ripped out.

  • Not 1/3 floor top.

  • Scary.

  • Too confused to third floor.

  • Okay, that was ripped out on DDE.

  • Yeah.

  • Yes.

  • We're just know whenever I say like, ground floor, But I feel like it's weird when you say, like ground floor like snow on the ground floor when people would be like downstairs.

  • But we have another downstairs.

  • Yeah, Great.

  • We've got first.

  • Yeah, first brought her anyway.

  • Getting complicated.

  • There I am.

  • If you let me introduce my block, I will.

  • Yes.

  • My card when you opened that door is absolute carnage.

  • That's why people out there.

  • So we are starting the next stage.

  • And this might seem a little bit strange because obviously we've got the hallways painted initially, but I just had to do that for me.

  • I just had to get a lick of paint on them writing them up because they were so dark.

  • We decided that we were gonna be changing the staircases in this house, which is quite a big job.

  • And it's an expensive job, and it's a job that we have really thought long and hard about.

  • Andi spent a lot of time talking to Sarah about the kind of staircases that we wanted and getting them right, And we've had the maid really, really beautifully.

  • Actually, I'm so happy with them.

  • The first decades that one is, you walk in the door and it's like up That's a completely new staircase with the one down to the basement that's being so fabricated.

  • So we're able to make good of that on even now, just looking at it from what's happened in the last few days.

  • It has bright.

  • I thought it was gonna make it darker.

  • I was so worried because it's obviously it wasn't open staircase.

  • We I thought that because we're releasing all of the glass and all of like, the openness of the staircase, it was gonna make it really dark.

  • But actually it's almost like lightened the area up.

  • It's very, very strange what's happening out there at the moment.

  • I mean, I'm not going to speak to you soon because the spindles don't have to go in, but it does feel a lot brighter in a lot, a lot lighter.

  • So this week, the first staircases going in the one up to our dressing rooms and then next week the second staircase is going in, and then once those are both in our new floor throughout, the ground floor goes in, which is a big, big job because that floor actually leads into cloakrooms, dining rooms and things like that.

  • So it is gonna be a big, big job, and I think there's going to be a day when we can't actually be in the house at all because they've got to, like, screed the floor.

  • Then we have our carpet runners going in.

  • So we got carpet run is going on both stairs on, then carpet on the top floor.

  • I have decided to go for a natural carpet because I just I'd absolutely love natural carpet, I think is so incredibly chic on Dhe.

  • I just love.

  • It's kind of like rustic vibes, So I knew that there needed to be hard wearing.

  • We definitely couldn't go for cream up there because there's a lot of footfall.

  • There's a lot of shoes on.

  • It's just one of those places that we just needed hard wearing, just like the stairs on.

  • I think personally it work really, really well up there.

  • So I'm gonna insert some footage of the guys taking out a staircase because that was a big job and quite frightening to watch, actually, because it's just the two guys and they're just like take it a hole down, staircase out and all of the glass going and stuff like that, but it feels like it feels good for it to be gone.

  • But what we are doing today is Ali and I are taking on some of the work ourselves.

  • So we have to paint.

  • The spindle is just to keep, like costs down on dhe.

  • Just start kind of taking a bit of the slack on things because it's not really like we do have to do some things ourselves.

  • On dhe.

  • I probably haven't been showing most bits, so I probably mean to do more.

  • I think we'll end up painting like the walls of our like Gates ourselves on.

  • This is just another job that we have to do ourselves just to keep those cost stone because it's an expensive thing that we're doing in renovating houses, a time consuming thing that we've been here a year, and yet we've done so much.

  • We were really, really lucky in the sense that we were able to do so much.

  • But there is still so much that needs to do that we haven't even touched the garden and I don't think we'll touch the garden this year and we always thought we would.

  • But there's No way we're touching it this year on DDE.

  • Yeah, that we've got, like, so much to do downstairs our guest bedrooms, like the walls literally falling off like the plasters is coming off the walls on dhe.

  • We can't do those that Yes, we have to start doing things ourselves.

  • So I'm gonna go downstairs with Ali.

  • We're gonna be painting the spindles for the staircase.

  • Is It's quite a few is probably take us a while, but I'm looking forward.

  • So I find painting radiotherapy sick.

  • I love painting my books as he would have seen over my home account.

  • So yeah, anyway, rambling on seven minutes just to bring you up to speed on this home log on dhe.

  • Also, I've got loads of stuff to show you in this.

  • Some things I've been buying some things I need to buy today on dhe just just kind of get cracking on things.

  • Basically.

  • So this is the progress off the staircase after you saw them tearing out?

  • I do keep doing a few updates on the home instagram account, but it's going in, so we need to paint for things to go in this bit here.

  • A little spindles, so I'm gonna put a prime, a coat on them on.

  • Then they go in.

  • And then when we decide, because I actually can't decide on what color this staircase needs to be once we decide, then we'll have it painted properly.

  • Ready, babe?

  • This guy, this is the 1,000,000 Gordon work show on Dhe.

  • I am excited to get my paintbrush out, my feet cold so we could be still not 10.

  • There, under floor heating.

  • Back on.

  • Okay.

  • I'm gonna go get some slippers then so we can get painting.

  • I get to paint, too, though.

  • Okay, Cool.

  • You ready, Mr Miller?

  • Gordon.

  • Good.

  • Get we go over these today and only these and the ladies and all of those.

  • Oh, God.

  • I've been given my dog my job since late for that.

  • We're about 1/3 of the way through.

  • We've got all of those done.

  • We've got the 2nd 3rd on the bench.

  • Ali is slacking, though, but I'm totally okay with it because it's gloomy on his lap, so I don't really mind.

  • He could take five with baby girl whilst I basically carry on currently trying to get Lou me to stay in her bed so that Lincoln work easing her into it.

  • Yeah, it's what we have to do for our high maintenance calves.

  • We have just finished up in woven on.

  • You went Thio Zoo house for some little home where shopping and Ali was very inspired when he was there on we just had a mooch around the shops.

  • Ready on.

  • I got a baking.

  • Bolas.

  • Well, on dhe, our friends coming over tonight.

  • See what?

  • Salmon.

  • Alex coming over for a posh Nando's on DDE drinks.

  • It's been a lovely day.

  • So far, Very chilled.

  • So they're gonna stay over as well.

  • They they are.

  • So I get to drink beer when you get a drink with junior.

  • Yeah, from my jin Tried the new six minutes.

  • I'm gonna my even treat sound to a glass of more whiskey.

  • Special edition.

  • Only 122 casks, casks, bottles made.

  • Probably one cast.

  • Probably one kind coming in around about three engine, 50 quid.

  • You get that from working?

  • Oh, wow.

  • Uh, you know, because it's well, I don't know.

  • I don't know what you're working on.

  • Jim.

  • Today, guys, I'm pumped.

  • I'm not ready.

  • WeII adjusted here because there's just so many calls that way.

  • What hello, everyone.

  • I have been actively trying to do less of logging like this recently just because it doesn't make me feel great when I look back on myself when I'm just like slopping out.

  • But just to give you a bit of an update, I didn't want to look like this because I've been a bit run down recently.

  • It's not anything Major Atal.

  • It's the same thing that happened before Christmas.

  • Remember when I got ill and then I got better than ill again?

  • That's kind of what happened again, So I'm not really sure what's going on at the moment.

  • I'm seeing how it's going.

  • Like I woke up this morning, six AM, raring to go, did a banging PT session.

  • And then as the day went on, I'm just like I physically like, has taken up.

  • So as much as it's just a little bit of a run down this well, I'm not sure why, because I've just had a week off.

  • So anyway, this video is not about me being ill, but stuff is happening and I want to update you.

  • Because today has also been a slow one for me in terms of productivity that, yes, they had such a lot of work was so happy.

  • But I did want to update you well and just kind of bring you up to speed because for this staircase that we are settled at the moment in terms of fitting, obviously not painting, it is pretty much there.

  • Andi spent the day kind of finishing this off on dhe.

  • So much progress has happened with staircase down to the basement as well.

  • My new coffee table has just arrived.

  • So I thought that we could spruce that up style that together because I got so many compliments on my styling of my console table that I thought, even though I keep it so simple, maybe we could have a look at that together.

  • I need to also give The glass is clean, but I'm so in love with it.

  • It's a small change, but it's a change that felt right for me.

  • And that's kind of yeah, where both the cat's asleep links is asleep on my clothes and let me sleep in her bedroom, and I ordered the lights.

  • So the new lights that are gonna be going above here.

  • A big, gorgeous pendent light is going to be hanging above here and also above the other staircase I ordered today and I'm over the moon.

  • I was literally seconds from buying them on Dhe.

  • I then found them with, like, over £200 off each.

  • So I bought both of them and saved myself over £400.

  • I waas so, so happy, so happy.

  • That's the way the win, and I'll link them down below.

  • I found them at a place called the Lighting Source or light source.

  • Such stunning lights.

  • In fact, we've had a nightmare with the lights in the cloakroom toilet, which I actually don't end up telling you about that.

  • I just made quite a few orders from a shop called House of Isabella on Dhe.

  • I'm like, at my wits end with them, because just every time it's been like a bit of a problem.

  • So when we ordered our living room lights, they told us that they broken and they were out stock and then the same thing.

  • Now we've got, like, one light on the wall, and it's out of stock everywhere.

  • So we're now currently looking for other lights and seeing if they're gonna give us a refund.

  • But that is kind of what's happening in there.

  • But I don't think I've shown you an update in there.

  • No, I haven't.

  • So I'll show you in there as well.

  • And then on Monday, our new flooring goes down, which is I'm going up tomorrow to Michael's Field.

  • I think this will be in the next little in this club.

  • I'm not too sure yet depends on how long this log gets, but I'm going to Malcolm's feel tomorrow.

  • Thio, Sort out the carpet up here on the runners for the stairs on also have a shop with a very exciting store.

  • I think you say it a re g.

  • Bianchi.

  • I think that's how they would Please do not quote me on that.

  • I'm going up to see them and going Thio meet the team because they are working with us on our hallways.

  • We are matching the floor to the downstairs down downstairs on just really exciting partnership, and they honestly have been amazing.

  • We wanted to find somewhere that was kind of like a bit of a hub of flooring on DDE that is what they are.

  • So basically, they are helping us sort our flooring, and it's just a really exciting partnership.

  • They do absolutely everything from home, where two accessories to flooring.

  • They've got it all covered.

  • So we're gonna go up and meet them carry an eye for a really exciting afternoon on.

  • I'm gonna get the chance, Thio, Try my well experience and test the carpets I'm gonna be choosing because you know that I wanted natural carpets up here so that they take lots of wear and tear.

  • So really excited for tomorrow.

  • Now the leak.

  • We had such bad news the other weeks.

  • Basically, on my birthday, there was a leak coming through the ceiling of the games room.

  • It stopped instantly.

  • It's not happened again.

  • Which makes me think that it might have been one of like the guest bathroom because we had guests staying.

  • So it was quite a lot of like, uh, football, like in the house.

  • So that stopped.

  • But we were losing pressure on us heating system.

  • So our usual plumber told us that he thinks that we've got a leak under our flooring.

  • Everything's been isolated.

  • We've had no heating for like the past two weeks.

  • He also said, We had one up here.

  • We've had another another plumber coming today, and he's isolated everything had his thermal imaging camera and can't find anything.

  • He's changed a few valves on us heating system on so far, so good.

  • I have to monitor over the day, and it's so hard when Ollie's not here because he's away because they speak in terms and I'm like, I don't know what it will came out.

  • I don't know the technical terms.

  • I don't know what a manifold is on Dhe.

  • I just find the whole thing quite difficult when he's not here, especially because he knows I come to talk to them and stuff like on a level but good news that they haven't found anything yet, which means the flooring can go down next week, No problem.

  • So I think that's why next week will be a different block.

  • Anyway.

  • Let's get cracking on my coffee table, which I love so much.

  • I think that Oka on Dhe Neptune are absolutely 110% my favorite like home where stores to get styling stuff and to get those kind of finishing touches in terms off like my personal style.

  • Like I have a very This is what I realize I've got a very like country style, but like modern country on DDE, I just fall enough in every piece in those places on dhe.

  • Yes, I just love it.

  • So those my favorite places sharp.

  • They're bloody expensive.

  • Course they are.

  • Because this is Lydia Millet.

  • She just likes expensive crap.

  • But let's look at the coffee, Davor, I'm was the half way through doing the dishwasher.

  • But let's not mind that I've got my window lean on my cloth on Dhe.

  • Let's get cracking.

  • Dad, Uh, this is the new coffee table and Oh, my goodness.

  • I love these little sections where you can kind of display things and you can pop in your favorite books like our wedding book and go in one of these.

  • And we've got the flowers.

  • It can go on top, and this kind of silver birch feel like this light oak kind of finish is perfect for this room.

  • It goes so well.

  • So I'm gonna give this a little clean on dhe style it.

  • So I've given the coffee table quick spruce with some windle in.

  • Just give it a wipe over first impressions.

  • I am obsessed with the legs.

  • They'll look black on camera, but they're not.

  • They're more of a bronzy color.

  • So they really do tie in with the side tables Really, really nicely on this wood.

  • Oh, my God.

  • I just an alley a picture in Portugal.

  • And he's like, yes, of, like, so happy.

  • So styling wise.

  • Obviously, I've got all of these cute little display areas where I can put things, Which, to be honest at the moment, I'm not 100% of what I'm gonna put in there.

  • So maybe gonna be looking at the top on Dhe if I'm honest with you, I don't like too much clutter when it comes to my coffee tables.

  • Sorry about that.

  • But I had the weirdest tumble dry.

  • I think it's on like an antique resetting.

  • And every so often, even though it's finished, it just goes boo in the background.

  • And I'm like, Oh, wow.

  • So anyway, while trying to say was that I don't like too much clutter, but I like it looks styled at the same time.

  • So the one major thing I always have to have on my coffee tables is some flowers on.

  • If you read my recent block post ended a couple of weeks ago, you would have seen that sometimes fresh flowers are just wonderful, and they bring it so much to your home.

  • But the same time they die so so quickly on often I forget that I've put him in a room on dhe.

  • There's just a sludgy, moldy mess left behind.

  • So I went in search of some amazing places that did flowers.

  • I've linked those on that block postal pop the block post link in the description box and blow.

  • I will link these flowers down below as well.

  • I ordered these flowers.

  • I probably said that they were for my birthday because basically, if it's within a month of my birthday, I'm able to spend money on dhe slave.

  • It's in honor of my Beth on.

  • That's basically why did so.

  • These flowers are from here, actually, even though we're not signing just yet.

  • Oh, these flowers are from artifacts, flowers and people literally cannot believe that they are photo.

  • They look so real.

  • There's the right amount of drop in the two units on the actual like leaves.

  • They just look so perfectly in perfect that it just works so well.

  • And they suggested this one and I was like, That is the part.

  • So I always have to have some kind of like a flower arrangement.

  • I know that plants and things like that really, really fashionable moment by like my home is slightly different in style.

  • So there's a lot of, like, really trendy homes on.

  • I'm a bit more like like I was talking about earlier, a bit more classic country.

  • So I've enjoyed playing around with the more trend driven colors like Hague Blue.

  • But my style is always a bit more classic, and I'm always like fighting to get that style into each of the rooms.

  • So plants at the moment I'm struggling to see exactly where, like floor plants and, you know, like the classic cheese plants and stuff like that fit into my personal style.

  • However, flowers on these kind of arrangements bring that Maur sort of natural feel to the room without making it too trendy.

  • If you know, I mean, but I like, I'm not saying that that's a bad thing.

  • Like I love, love, love everyone's homes of all their big plants and stuff like that.

  • But I'm just at the moment waiting to find my style of plant.

  • I think that's what it is.

  • I haven't found it just yet.

  • Also, blouses, we are impressively.

  • First things first.

  • Is this arrangement I think fairly similarly to the last coffee table because we've got square.

  • I'm gonna pop this Tiu the back corner.

  • I don't like it to Central because I don't want it to look too kind of much of the focus point.

  • We kind of just keep over there and then keep the area fairly clear for people to use them but their drinks on because this is such a cozy room that I just wanted to be able to be used on utilized, igniting.

  • So then I grab one of my trusty ikey baskets.

  • I think these are like £6.

  • I have these everywhere in my house.

  • You can get these from the basket cos well, in the same size and holler I love my basket company peeps.

  • I've got their big baskets everywhere in my house, these ones just a little bit cheaper.

  • And I picked up alone.

  • You could just buy them in bulk.

  • And I keep them everywhere because I've always got uses for them.

  • This is what I keep my remote controls in.

  • So they just sit in there So they're not clustering up the like space.

  • They're not exactly beautiful, are they?

  • So that kind of sit like that?

  • I think that that kind of styling is a nice height.

  • That this book is what we usually have on a coffee table.

  • This is my anniversary gift from Allie.

  • This is our wedding day photos made into a book, a coffee table book, which is just perfect.

  • So I think this is actually going to live in here so it doesn't get ruined so that nothing gets, like, spilt on it.

  • I think that that notebook stay in there like that so we don't need that up on the coffee table anymore.

  • But I do often wonder about Ali and his recklessness with his drinks.

  • Then I've got my must have for any big dream the Jay Malone luxury candles.

  • Now I have tried the algae version, the lime basil in mandarin ones.

  • It was hopeful, to be honest, I was really hopeful that they're gonna blow my mind and really fill my room with fragrance.

  • But they unfortunately didn't They probably work really nicely in slightly smaller rooms.

  • But this room is massive, and it used to honestly feel so airy and like, spread out on, we really managed to make it feel a lot cozier in here, So yeah.

  • Anyway, by graphing, this fills a big room in a big space with the entire fragrance off Jo Malone.

  • And that is what I want.

  • I want people to walk into the room and go.

  • Oh, my gosh, it smells amazing in here.

  • So this is a must have my coffee table or the time I have one in most of my big entertaining rains on dhe, this kind of state more in the middle.

  • I think they're all put our obviously when I'm lighting it so that it isn't that under the petals there on that.

  • Is that then I've got my Costa's thes are Vera Wendell Wedge with?

  • These were an engagement gift from my son.

  • Pay girls.

  • So we use these in this room all the time.

  • These consists of here, I think in terms off this area, that is kind of just angled accidents a little bit.

  • Uniforms keeping up like that.

  • Enough.

  • That brings enough of the kind of natural styling that I like.

  • But then you got the J.

  • Malone that gives the table kind of grand feel on.

  • Then Coast is to protect me bloody glass.

  • But in these spaces away, I'm gonna have to get busy and find myself some trinkets.

  • Thio style those out.

  • But I am super super happy with this.

  • It's all it needed on dhe yet very, very happy.

  • Very happy.

  • I think for now, I'm probably just gonna store some books on dhe bits and bobs in these little cubby holes just to fill them out.

  • It will be an ongoing project, making these all beautiful on dhe kind of displayed, but so far, really just so in love.

  • Can I sit?

  • Looks, Andi.

  • It ties in perfectly with my counsel table.

  • That was still is one of my favorite pieces in this room.

  • But now it's a little bit better complemented by the coffee table, which we think works really well.

  • Oh, my gosh.

  • I'm so happy.

  • And I just sit and either read my book or chill out and watch TV on DDE.

  • It's become a re my love.

  • I honestly I think that this room is pretty much finished.

  • Apart from changing the ceiling rose, that's gonna be happening soon.

  • Our new ceiling roses arrive next week.

  • This should Well, yeah, this room will be finished then.

  • But we might get new sofas as well.

  • We haven't decided yet.

  • Ali wants new sofas.

  • I want to keep these sofas.

  • Let me know in the comments below what you think.

  • But I honestly I love these sofas.

  • And I was adamant when we bought this house I was like, Please, I want the sofas so I'd be sad to see them go because I really love the tones of them.

  • There is a rug on Okha that I would love to put in this room.

  • But we need the new sofas first because I think they would clash because there's quite a lot of detail ing too, the rug, So I can't get that just yet.

  • Also, whilst we're in the hallway, can we please just appreciate how neat and tidy our carpenter is?

  • Our carpet Andy is a legend like honesty, a legend.

  • We are so lucky to have him and on high.

  • We just recommend him to everyone.

  • I really should not put him in our videos because we want to just do our house basically.

  • And he's so busy.

  • And I just need to shut up and stop having you.

  • Anyway, let's update you on the toilet because this is one of my favorite rooms.

  • Uh, we have one light on no mirror.

  • Fabulous.

  • The mirror arrives on Saturday.

  • This is the light that we ordered from Isabelle.

  • Know?

  • Where's that house of Isabella?

  • And obviously, now they're saying it won't come until, like, mid June, which is just a nightmare.

  • I mean, a nightmare in the sense of very, very small things and things that don't actually matter.

  • But just, you know, there's irritating things.

  • You're just like, Oh, you sent us one light.

  • We put it up and then you didn't Buddy, send us the other light.

  • Oh, Anyway, this suite is from the bath store, and I am so, so happy with this, I will link exactly which one it Woz.

  • We got it from the bath store in peter brah.

  • On this room is everything I hoped it would be.

  • We're still looking for a loo roll holder, though I did tried to order one from so her home, but something happened with the order.

  • We'll be getting new flooring in here, so this, like Maur orangey toned, warmer Tondo will be going.

  • Like I said, all of the flooring runs throughout the whole of the well, a lot of the downstairs, and that's going down on Monday.

  • But I'll give you kind of an update in our next log when the mirror goes up in to show you.

  • But, yeah, isn't it beautiful?

  • I love paneling.

  • I wished this paneling was like throughout the whole hallway.

  • It's gorgeous.

  • Now.

  • I know that's absolutely hideous, because the flooring is concrete.

  • But how much better does my little basket look on these steps?

  • It was a complete conflict of styles on my old modern staircase.

  • But how beautiful is this like I just can't deal.

  • It's so stunning, and then my gorgeous new light will hang from there.

  • I'm not sure if I can have a ceiling rose up here, which is quite upsetting because obviously it's peaked.

  • Roof pitched roof peek through whatever, but the light will hang here nonetheless on DDE.

  • Look gorgeous on, then.

  • This is where we are at with the second staircase.

  • So with this decades we weren't having an entirely new one fitted.

  • We were having a fabricated kind of revamped staircase, so they ripped out all of the blast on.

  • They ripped out all of the wooden like the orangey woods hand rails on.

  • Then they built up the newel posts to make the match identically to the ones on the new staircase.

  • Basically, so at the moment, it's quite scary because there's like nothing here.

  • There's no spindles on this carpet will be coming up on the natural carpet, will also be extending down into the basement, which will be really lovely on all of this will have gorgeous white spindles.

  • Andi, all it really lovely.

  • This should be finished around Saturday, but I might have to get my painting skills back out to help paint the spindles with Andy, because Ollie's not here.

  • But I'm excited to see this start looking a little bit more like about one, because this is just completely changed the whole way.

  • If I show you from this side, yes, we've even got the panelling underneath, and it's just it's just changed everything.

  • It just looks so much grander and beautiful.

  • Er, and that's probably terrible English.

  • But I'm so happy with it.

  • It was such a huge expense and something that we never, ever thought we would ever do.

  • But now I am just so glad.

  • So glad.

  • So this is where Oh, my God, How funny.

  • I'm actually gonna get Allie to move this light switch as well.

  • Finally, no more cutting corners, Mr Miller.

  • Gordon, this light switch is going to be moved to here so that I can have my mirror central to this wall.

  • Because this is where we have the consul table on DDE.

  • It's important to me.

  • So looking my best, of course.

  • But this mirror, I'm not gonna be like getting rid of anything.

  • I think I'm gonna use this in one of the bathrooms because it's too beautiful to go.

  • I think it will match the sparkly bathroom quite nicely.

  • So not getting rid of this just yet.

  • This is my sweet p m willow mirror, and I love it.

  • It is absolute carnage in the house right now.

  • And the weather today is so weird.

  • It's been raining.

  • It's been Sonny.

  • It's been a mad one.

  • But I am in one of the guest bedrooms which is full of all of us stuff because we'd had Thio move everything out, ready for the flooring to go in, which is really, really exciting about.

  • Obviously it's gonna be all kind of like up in the air on a little bit hectic in the house.

  • But that will be in my next vlog is even a toilet and a sink in here because it's come out of our cloakroom toilet.

  • I'm gonna show you the networks are mirror arrived, which I am so so in love with.

  • But I wanted to tell you kind of what's happening next.

  • So as of tomorrow, the flooring will be going down on.

  • Then on Monday we get Mr Kenny Ken back in the house on tight reins, though, because, um, we don't have a huge amount of money allocated for this section.

  • So we have to be really careful.

  • So Ken is coming in well here, actually coming round on Saturday to have a look on.

  • Whilst we are in Capri, he will be making a start on painting the staircases on Dhe A ll are seeming roses arrived.

  • So I'm gonna take you upstairs and show you kind of the plan of what's gonna be happening above staircases.

  • I think I've settled on what we're gonna do.

  • Painting lies on It's no.

  • I thought to be honest, it really isn't feeling.

  • Rose arrived from Stevens of Norwich.

  • I actually went with these guys over W m Boil just because they had the right size that we wanted, but I didn't realize was his actual plaster.

  • All of the other ones that we've used haven't actually been solid classes to these weigh an absolute ton.

  • So I think that this is where you kind of noticed the biggest change in this whole thing apart from actually in the hallway downstairs.

  • But how this looks just looks so much more grand on dhe.

  • Just exactly what we wanted.

  • We really didn't like the glass and it didn't actually didn't make it any brighter, so it really just was a design thing.

  • And we just wanted something a little bit more traditional.

  • So now it looks like this.

  • I love it when I walk out my dressing room and you can see it all like that just looks so nice.

  • I've struggled for ages trying to figure out what to do with this space because it just feels a little bit kind of empty.

  • I think that the the staircase is added so much detail to this area that it makes it feel a lot more of an actual space on wants the carpets down, which I think we've kind of settled on.

  • But I'm not sure once it's down, that also has a lot of detail into it.

  • Andi, it's super beautiful.

  • I think what we will do is just get ourselves a radiator cover for this radiator here.

  • Which means that we can display some pictures and like pictures of our trips and some ornaments on dhe, maybe some lamps on that will just add what this area needs to make it feel a little bit more homely up here.

  • We can't have the ceiling rose.

  • Unfortunately, I'm gutted the little guy down there me because of the eaves.

  • So we are just gonna have the light shining now.

  • These lights are from light source on.

  • I found them like I said, for a noble cheaper on, these will hang over the staircase like so I have incited a while.

  • Hi.

  • Yet I'm thinking, like about here on hoping to have an antique mirror tohave on this wall here as well, just to reflect the light around on dhe.

  • Make it feel a little bit more.

  • So I've put together up here my sexy, that this wall down, you have to be filled out for the new post.

  • These are slightly larger than the normal over here.

  • So this will have to be.

  • It was really not very happy about, but it's worked out fine and actual, Doesn't it that bad?

  • So I didn't need to be annoyed by the carpet that we're gonna go for is going to be a sea grass kind of natural carpet, which to touch a thing feels really horrible.

  • But if you actually when you walk when it's almost like a massage, your feet.

  • So I get on that, go downstairs as well with a runner on, then have chrome bars securing it in place as well.

  • We guys painting this black on dhe, the your post black.

  • I think we're gonna go black with the trends as well to match the doors because it could end up being a little bit so wishy washing down there.

  • And that is not what we want.

  • But Starr happy with these life?

  • Honestly, the service from life source was amazing.

  • And I think that they're gonna work so nice in space.

  • Got kind of like a candelabra inside, so it looks really kind of rustic.

  • I'm super happy with these.

  • Oh, my gosh.

  • I'm just so happy with everything that's kind of come together as mentioned.

  • This bathroom has been taken out, but our mirror has arrived from Oka and it's given a sort of it's called like a antique glass feel to it.

  • But I think this is faux antique glass, to be honest, but I really, really liked it.

  • I liked the gold detail ing around the centre mirror on then also these angled mirrors to the side.

  • We still only have the one light bow, which obviously is unfortunate, but we're just gonna wait out.

  • We were gonna look a different lights, but we just love thes We really, really love these lights.

  • So we're gonna wait out on dhe, get the other light in June.

  • So this fitted as mentioned, everything is ripped out of here, so it's not looking its best.

  • I really, really love this room.

  • I feel like this is my little personality room because it's got all of the dark colors in here.

  • And then it's got my wallpaper on these lights that I wanted.

  • I feel like this.

  • This room is like me.

  • I love this room.

  • I don't want to ruin the wallpaper in here too much by putting too much stuff up on the walls.

  • But I did see the most amazing sign on Amazon, which said Water and soap.

  • $5.

  • Han tells free, but it's only available in the U.

  • S.

  • I swear in the US they always have such great signs.

  • Everything so cringe E like live laugh, love in the UK But this thing, this sign was so perfect as that is retro sign, and I really wanted to go above the mirror there just so annoying.

  • But either way, this wallpaper is such a statement in itself, it really doesn't need that much.

  • But I think because there's a few walls on show, I do want to get some cute things and also just to inject a little bit personality as well.

  • On the second stair case is half in.

  • So we have no spindles down there in the basement, Unfortunately, But we do have them up here.

  • So as you walk in the door, you can't really notice that it's not finished.

  • But we do have toe get that finished before Ken comes in.

  • So hopefully and he will make it back.

  • But again, these runners will be ripped up on Dhe.

  • The new runner will go down this sort of say staircase as well.

  • I'm still looking for some ornaments to go in that window.

  • And then this is where you will get the ceiling rose.

  • That will go just here then, Obviously.

  • Well, we will have one of the Clantons are thinking more in front of that window on the scene will be up top.

  • But down here, I'm just I've just come in here.

  • Thio, sit down and talk to you about what's gonna be happening next on.

  • I've got to show you all of this stuff that I've ordered in from hate them home.

  • They've got a new classic collection on.

  • I just went nuts.

  • I'd love all of this stuff and it was so affordable.

  • I've got some trinket box is this one I just love.

  • It's so classic.

  • And then I think that you find these ones on like Amara living and they're so expensive.

  • But look how beautiful It's such good quality as well.

  • These air decorative balls that I think especially to Maur rustic bits of furniture like this.

  • Adding a little bit of a modern classical twist, I think looks quite nice.

  • But this is not styled so pleasing.

  • Nor I've also got a load of photo frames because my biggest thing is just getting pictures and lovely memories around the house.

  • So yeah, that's kind of what's happening here.

  • I love this one is about the painting, and the new electrics will be taking place whilst we are away.

  • I think so.

  • It's gonna be a full house whilst we know here, but hopefully we'll have some good stuff Thio come home to.

  • And once I think the carpet is down the new carpet upstairs, which we're going to be sorting out in the next flog, we will kind of be getting there with the, um, finishing off stage of 3.0 of renovation 3.0.

  • Let's say after this we've got our work cut out, but in different areas.

  • So the first thing that we need Thio tackle is the games room.

  • It's definitely been neglected since other areas of our house have been sort of finished, especially this room.

  • Like now that went in this room on.

  • It's all just nice and cozy and kind of getting there.

  • Although I have found some sofas, I think I like.

  • Yeah, the Games room has been a place that we mainly use when we have people over on.

  • Dhe generally gets neglected when it's just Sally and I in the house.

  • So that will be a big, huge project, that one, and we will have Thio wait until we have a lot more money the same when it comes to the Garden.

  • But the moment we're just looking for a new gardener on Dhe, I I think we're going to start getting plans drawn up for the garden just so we know what we're working with and budget wise.

  • Then I think that my little projects that I am going to try and do Maur sort of on a tighter budget.

  • Ah, the guest bedrooms Now, I haven't worked this out yet because ideally, I would change the bathroom.

  • So maybe I'd have to allocate Maur of the budget to the bathrooms.

  • And I do actually the rooms and the furniture.

  • But we're going to see how this goes, because in the rooms they need new carpet.

  • They definitely need painting on.

  • They need new curtains.

  • That that is what I want to kind of work on and get planning on is the guest bedrooms and getting them changed because, like I said, they need a little bit of TLC.

  • So we know, obviously finished on the renovation.

  • 3.0.

  • We've got a fair few kind of weeks ahead of us in terms of getting it finished, getting it painted on getting all of the furniture.

  • In art wise, I keep finding artists that I can't like by Prince from, and that's really frustrating because I'm impatient.

  • So I should really just message them and get them commissioned to do some artwork for us around the house.

  • Just some more fun bits to inject a little bit more of our personality because we've got obviously our wedding stuff around on Dhe.

  • That's really nice, obviously, to have that to look at that, and it means a lot to us.

  • But we also want to start getting Maur art into the home on Dhe, a bit more of our personality and a bit more fun because we don't want it to feel like a show home.

  • That's not what we want.

  • A tool.

  • Andi.

  • I think that we're getting there with it now.

  • But I'm really enjoying just embracing my own personal style and seeing things kind of coming together and in reflecting us a little bit more.

  • I still find it quite daunting, and it's not something that's coming easy to me.

  • But I'm learning on dhe at this stage in the remodel renovation of this house, I almost feel like I'm understanding my style a little bit more on being able to move into things and cats a bloody arguing again.

  • It's like having two kids.

  • I know it's not like having two kids, okay, just sometimes a little temperamental.

  • Anyway, I hope this has brought you up to speed and show you what we've been up thio and showing you how the house is coming along.

  • A lot of the rooms are a bit the tip of the moment because we've moved everything out.

  • So the utility room is a tip.

  • Guest bedrooms or a tit.

  • Um, obviously, the whole way isn't looking its best on dhe.

  • The cocoa toilet is just utter mess.

  • But I think I'm nearing being ready to show you around my office a little bit more.

  • So hopefully I'll be able to film a little bit of a tour of that sometimes seem.

  • But up on that, I will hopefully see you in my next video when we move on to the flooring.

  • Hi.

low, everyone.
