  • I don't ever wanna welcome to another video.

  • Now back in late 2000 and 13 in video launched the GTX 7 80 t i for $700 us.

  • Now, this was a high end card intended to appeal to those of you out there with a pretty extravagant budget to build a gaming PC with.

  • But these days they can be found for a fraction of the price you talk in sort of around GTX 10 50 t i money on it used option sites like eBay and Anderson.

  • And here in the UK, you confine them on.

  • We buy dot com for about £150.

  • Now, I have noticed the price of these starting to go back up currently in other international markets.

  • But occasionally you can find one for a pretty decent price.

  • And it got me thinking as to whether or not the 7 80 is still deserving of its high end label that it once had back in 2013.

  • Today we're going to be benchmarking it with a few games, seeing how well it holds up and talking about whether or not you should still buy, said card.

  • So I've paid the 7 80 i with my rise and 5 1600 a CPU that is capable of letting the 7 80 I reach its full potential, starting with Ghost Recon Wild Dance today.

  • And as you can hopefully see despite my failure to enlarge the river Tuna Statistics figures the game is running at 52 frames per second on average.

  • As with all the results today, the GPU will likely be at around 98 or 99% meaning it is in fact, bottle necking the processor.

  • Turning a few graphical options down would also mean a smooth 60 f ps in most cases, too.

  • But I've gone with higher settings throughout to give you a better idea of how capable this thing still is in Battlefield won.

  • The game play you see is from single player.

  • Yet the figures include the combined results from multiplayer game play tests performed on different maps to give us an overall average in both single and multi player.

  • The 7 80 I should still be ableto handle 60 f p.

  • S, especially if you drop the settings down a little too high or even medium.

  • For some super fluent gameplay don't be put off by the 0.1% low of 37.

  • As some frame drops occurred during the response segments of multi player that in no way hindered my experience.

  • Far cry five very recent title even ran well, ultra with 53 frames per second on average.

  • Again, turning things down to normal would guarantee you a closer to 60 FBs experience.

  • So I'm pretty happy with how the game played on this GPU.

  • I was also using shadow play to record here, which will cause a very, very minor performance drop.

  • So what you see here isn't too different from what you get.

  • Turning anti a sing off would probably be a better option to consider before dropping the settings for a few extra frames.

  • Now this next one's not very demanding, but it's certainly popular.

  • So I just had to test fortnight to see how it ran.

  • And even with mixed settings, I saw a nice 100 F.

  • P s average here at 10 80 p with a few options on medium, a few on high and a couple on epic.

  • Stay away from putting everything when I pick settings, and you should see decent frame rates, no matter what you do.

  • Finally, it's doom.

  • There were a couple of hiccups here, but even with most settings turned up, the card have no trouble maintaining 60 F.

  • P s on average.

  • This frame rate will drop as the action gets more intense.

  • And seeing as the action in doom is always pretty intense, you can expect a few drops here and there.

  • Or at least that's what I experienced anyway with the 7 80 t I, which I feel has really proved itself still capable.

  • So to conclude, if you find one of these do Tits 7 82 guys for the same sort of price as a 10 50 t, I, you will get better performance out of the older Kepler card.

  • Of course, though, there are some disadvantages, like the fact that it is running on an old architecture, and it uses a turn more power than in videos.

  • Modern day offering In terms of focusing purely on the performance of the 7 80 tell here you may find yourself having to turn down a few settings from high or ultra in order to get a solid 60 f.

  • P.

  • S out of your games.

  • If that is your desired target, what's the 7 80?

  • I can no longer really be considered a high end card.

  • It still puts up a pretty decent fight, and it's still worth buying.

  • If you can find one cheap enough, say, between 101 £150 dollars or euros.

  • Now those 7 80 I never came In a six gig variant, there is a six gig about very off the 7 80 non ti I card, which is still weaker than the three gig by 7 80 in terms off performance both past and modern day.

I don't ever wanna welcome to another video.
