  • Today we are doing a really requested video and its weight loss mistakes that we all do that keep us from reaching our goal weight for shape or feel or lifestyle.

  • Let's move to the weight loss.

  • Mistakes were making.

  • First mistake you're making is you trying to outrun a bad diet.

  • Unless you're an athlete, it doesn't matter how many times you go to the gym.

  • You probably consume away more calories than you actually burning.

  • When you consume bad type of foods junk foods, garbage foods, you won't see results.

  • It doesn't matter how much you work out.

  • You gonna actually get so demotivated rule to live by is 80% died.

  • 20% exercise, Please remember, exercise sustains weight loss, but healthy diet is what drives it.

  • Mistake number two is your only doing cardio.

  • You may lose weight faster doing cardio.

  • The problem is, it's the wrong kind of weight.

  • Cardio alone burns both fat and muscle, So if you do want to see changes in your body, you have to incorporate strength training into your exercise routine.

  • Why?

  • Training is basically you're building your lean muscle mass, which elevates your metabolism and actually helps you with burning fat even when you're not exercising.

  • Mistake number three is your not drinking enough water, and I don't care if you're trying to lose weight.

  • If you're trying to be healthy, if you're trying to survive, it's a human you need to drink.

  • If you don't supply your body with the right amount of calories, you're actually sabotaging your weight loss schools Making sure we consumed the right amount of calories and the right foods is what's gonna make sure that our body works properly, doesn't retain anything, and everything's moving like it should.

  • Mistake number five is not eating breakfast and hold up.

  • I know that there's people that just like, don't feel this whole idea of breakfast in the morning like eating the minute we got, which you're sure and, by the way, should drink across the water with some lemon, maybe waited like half a Knauer.

  • Then either are a lot of scientific studies out there and trying to debunk the whole idea that eating breakfast will help you lose weight.

  • Understated breakfast does help you lose weight.

  • For me, it's very simple.

  • When I give my body is something to eat that is good that is filling enough.

  • I feel like I'm getting energy and that energy translate into me actually going and doing things that go into the gym of getting to my workout.

  • You don't have to actually have like a big, huge meal, even having like a little bit of yogurt with some fruits, even a smoothie.

  • I just to kind of jump start your energy in the morning, you are keeping your blood sugar stable.

  • You'll notice that throughout the day he'll actually up for better choices with food, for lunch and for snacks.

  • And you won't have any blood sugar crash.

  • For me, that's a good enough reason to eat something in the morning.

  • It could even be like nuts and a food.

  • That's it.

  • Don't eat pancakes with maple syrup.

  • You don't have to make herself annulment just like you know, some little mistake Number six.

  • And this is something that is a huge, huge no no in my house, drinking empty calories, alcohol on occasions, which is like cool, you have to endure life soda.

  • All these like sugar pack juices.

  • None of that is allowed in this house.

  • Top or soda is literally like eating spoonfuls of sugar.

  • It has so many discussing ingredients.

  • There's literally zero nutrition in there, and you are just putting your body in like this sugar craze mode, and it actually makes you get addicted to it.

  • If you're addicted to the fizz and you want something bubbly, you can have a carbonated water and just add a little bit of juice in there at a little squeeze of lemon at a little fruit, it's time to say bye bye.

  • Mistake number seven is you are not educated about portion sizes.

  • I personally don't count calories, and I usually don't know command people who count calories.

  • And it's just like not a sustainable lifestyle.

  • Learning a wide, a proper portion Size is so important for you, and it would really make eating healthy and better and right into an easier, inaccessible lifestyle.

  • Do you see the portion sizes would get to go to a restaurant or even when we make food at home and put it on a plate?

  • It's ridiculous.

  • I think that it's very important for us to learn how much and what we should consume.

  • And I have a few little hacks that I want to share with you that will make it easier for you to eat healthier.

  • Have number one is the hand guide.

  • Four portion sizes.

  • It's really easy to measure the proper portion size for you for protein, for carb, for fat.

  • Using your hand will really show you how much in should have of that specific food hack.

  • Number two I always mention is smaller plates.

  • It's a visual and psychological thing.

  • Ah, lot of us are using huge plates, and we actually have to put so much more food to signal to our brain that this will fill us up.

  • When you put a little portion on a big plane, it actually tells your brain that this is not enough.

  • I have to go get more.

  • That's what we want to avoid.

  • So using smaller place is totally a game changer.

  • If you put the same amount of food on a small print or a big plate, you will see how billing your meal actually is.

  • And then hack number three is learning how your plates should look like You want to make sure that half of the plate is greens.

  • It's salad is vegetables, and the other one will be your starch and your protein.

  • This is a great kind of rule of thumb to follow and just keep in mind.

  • So when you are in a buffet when you are in restaurants, when your advance, you know what will energize you and supply you with enough nutrients.

  • Mistake Number eight is you are eating out a lot, and this is by no means me saying, Don't eat out.

  • We live in a society and culture where this is something that we do as part of socializing.

  • The problem is, when we eat out, you don't know how much sugar, Hominy sauces, how much all these sedatives they put in your meal to make it taste delicious.

  • Making sure that you are also eating at home as much as you can will really help to monitor and control off what you put into your body.

  • Mistake number nine is you are always looking for a quick fix.

  • There are so many diets that are coming out on a daily basis.

  • There's so much information out there.

  • I'm trying to adopt things that are sustainable into my lifestyle, something that I was doing.

  • Let's say after having a baby to get back into shape, I was doing the paleo diet.

  • But instead of focusing so much on meat, protein and animal protein, I did the paleo diet with focused on plant based diet.

  • I tried to really follow on a daily basis, a diet of 60% plant based and then 40% of animal products.

  • This is something that I've been experimenting trying out seeing what works with my body, and that's the thing.

  • Our bodies air so different.

  • So learn what works for you.

  • See things that you can actually incorporate on a daily basis rather than putting yourself through suffering of, you know, eating like the vote died from the seventies that they used to recommend.

  • It's called the wine and eggs, just to give you an example of what women used to follow.

  • Breakfast was one hard boiled egg, one glass of white wine and black coffee.

  • Lunch was still eggs, hard boiled, two glasses of white wine and one black coffee.

  • And this is the reason why you can follow every diet that goes out there to the market because you will die.

  • Obviously, it was the right thing that died.

  • Always remember that the base of it all is whole food.

  • Healthy food, put fats.

  • What we're trying to achieve is to nourish our body, not to deprive it.

  • And the last mistake is not planning ahead.

  • I'm not saying you guys need to go and do meal prep every week, but if you are failing to plan, you're planning to fail on a Sunday, get together with your partner with your kids and just make small batches off things that you'll actually eat if it's proteins.

  • If it's Steve Vegetables, having them in the fridge will just make it more easier for you to reach out for those things and to make sure that you're eating good food.

  • If it's possible for you, pack lunch for work to make sure that I exercise enough.

  • I book my classes on the weekend for the rest of the week.

  • I pay for them, so I want to make sure that I am there.

  • I'm also making plans with friends to go to different classes and try out different workouts that keeps me accountable.

  • And make sure that I actually show up and don't cancel.

  • And when you are grocery shopping to make sure that you have the healthy foods and healthy snacks that you can reach out to, you are setting yourself for its success.
