  • Okay, let's get straight into the tutorials.

  • A question.

  • One of your accounting Interview.

  • What skills, qualities and attributes do you have that are a match for this accounting role?

  • So in orderto answer this successfully, we need to know the tops of skills and qualities that are required to perform this job diligently on professionally.

  • On dhe, I believe the answer that's about to come your way is the perfect response to this question.

  • So let's get straight into it.

  • What skills, qualities and attributes do you have that are a match for this accounting role?

  • Here we go.

  • I have studied the job description in detail, and I feel confident I have the right skills, qualities and experience to perform the role to a very high standard.

  • To begin with, I'm totally customer and client focused on.

  • I understand how important it is to do a great job for your clients as the success of your business depends on them.

  • I also have excellent attention to detail on.

  • I will not make mistakes.

  • If I do make a mistake, I will always hold my hand up.

  • I will admit the error on.

  • I will look to learn from it so that it doesn't happen again.

  • I can also be trusted with confidential client based information will always act positively when representing your company.

  • Now, finally, apart from being a great team worker, I can also work alone unsupervised, and I will always work hard to meet deadlines and do my job with the upmost diligence and professionalism.

  • Now I'm sure you'll agree.

  • That is a great answer.

  • It gets you off on the right foot on your accounting interview.

  • Now, if you'd like a copy of these answers, please do stick around because at some stage I will tell you where you can get access to them, and then you can use them during your preparation for your accounting interview.

  • Next question.

  • How would you handle repetitive and monotonous tasks?

  • Now, if you're gonna work in an accounting roll, then you have to handle repetitive tasks and monotonous ones, and it's how you deal with them.

  • That is important.

  • So here is my suggested answer to that question.

  • I feel that repetitive, monotonous tasks are one of the most important aspects of accounting rolls.

  • Therefore, you have to handle them with professionalism, consistency and have great attention to detail.

  • I would always have at the forefront of my mind that this is the time you are most likely to become complacent and therefore make mistakes, which you can't do.

  • I would make sure my mind was clear and there were no distractions, and I would always cross check this type of work to make sure what I was doing was consistently accurate.

  • Finally, I would always have a positive mindset when dealing with repetitive tasks on, I would view them as an essential part of my job.

  • If it wasn't for the repetitive, monotonous tasks, I basically wouldn't have a job, so I would actually be grateful for them.

  • So that's another strong answer to one of the accounting interview questions.

  • Let's take a look at another one for you.

  • Describe a time when you made a mistake of work.

  • So the important thing here is honesty.

  • You put your hand up when you've made a mistake.

  • You know, you admit your error, you put it right, and then you look to improve so it doesn't happen again.

  • So here's my sample response to the interview question.

  • Describe a time when you made a mistake of work.

  • Here we go.

  • To be truthful, I very rarely make mistakes at work.

  • However there were.

  • There was one particular time in my early days whilst working in an admin role where I did make a mistake that affected the team.

  • I'd failed to spot an error in an important document that was due to be published the following day, and thankfully, another member of the team spotted it.

  • I felt really bad as I'd let my work colleagues down.

  • I immediately put my hand up apologize, and I informed my line manager of the mistakes I've made and then set about making improvements to the way I work to prevent it from happening again.

  • I'm pleased to say I've never made the same mistake since.

  • If you ever make a mistake, I believe it's very important to own up.

  • Be honest, apologize, put it right and then make improvements so it never happens again.

  • So if you were interviewing someone, you ask them that question and they came back with that response, I would imagine you would be impressed.

  • I would be because they are demonstrated integrity, honesty, and they are looking to continually improve.

  • So the danger without that type of interview question is that you can, you know, you can run the risk of saying I never, ever make any mistakes.

  • We all do.

  • But it's what you do that's important.

  • And that's what that question is trying to assess.

  • Okay, next question.

  • How would you do with an irate clients or customers?

  • So if you're gonna work in an accounting role, then you're gonna have to do with our rate clients and customers.

  • So I believe this is the perfect answer to that question.

  • How would you deal with an irate clients or customer?

  • Here we go.

  • In a previous admin related role, I was required to often deal with difficult and alright customers, and it didn't determine it all from doing my job properly.

  • Now the important thing to remember in accounting rolls is that the client often gets confused or frustrated.

  • You should never take it personally, and you should also have the maturity and the skills to even defuse.

  • The situation will provide them with some suitable information that will help them see things more positively whenever dealing with difficult or alright clients.

  • You have to remember they are paying for a service.

  • And while Sister's not mean, you have to take abuse, you should not take their comments personally, and you have to focus on the job in hand.

  • I believe if you build positive relationships with clients, they are less likely to become irate.

  • So that's a strong answer to that question.

  • Let's take a look at Nevel.

  • Tell me about the time when you showed extraordinary attention to details or gain in accounting rolls.

  • You have to have really good attention to detail.

  • Let's have a look at the answer to this question.

  • Only a few months ago, I was assigned to work on a data collection task whereby I have to work through 180 pages of a four sheets of paper to locate just two lines of information on these were needed by my line manager for an important time sensitive project.

  • I have to meticulously work through the sheets hand by hand.

  • Until I located the information.

  • Of course, I couldn't make a mistake on the sheets, had to be checked carefully to save having to go back over them a second time.

  • After six days of checking, I finally found the information.

  • It was needed much the relief of my manager.

  • I believe attention to detail is one of my strong points, and I could be relied upon to carry out this type of work professionally on diligently.
