  • So, as I'm walking through your compound like someone spike, I keep thinking like, what would my Compound B and I think I just like I have a bunch of Regal's and Caprice classics and pigeons.

  • I love pigeons.

  • You take someone out the hood, but you can't take the hood.

  • I love reading.

  • You know, like, really?

  • Yeah, yeah, in the nineties.

  • Speaking of which, bro, what's going on here?

  • I feel like it's the Vida bus collection here.

  • Collectively, Yeah, it's That would be for talking about just one car, kind of a toss up between the demon on the Trans Am, both right around 200.

  • I don't think I was so a playing with these up until, like a bang bus.

  • It was like, That's a different, uh, on my show.

  • I encourage everyone now to Google Bang bus.

  • You can see that it's very different that buses stick shift, stick shift.

  • You have a thing for vida buses, even to the point where you have fish tanks.

  • So you have a couple of shrines here, Dedicated thio wrestling and superheroes arresting and superheroes Kind of one of the same.

  • Jericho's been here, but really, Yes.

  • What is that like to be friends with your childhood heroes?

  • Like wrestle?

  • Because you you hang out with wrestles all the time.

  • It's pretty cool, especially when the personality that you're talking to is really the personality that's on TV.

  • Like, for example, Stone cold is he's really stone cold.

  • That's hey doesn't turn into, like Chad harm shot.

  • And all of a sudden he gets in the car, got a little peach upside the head, not at 10 24 7 And no disrespect to Chad's out there.

  • Let me chat.

  • Okay.

  • Oh, I love this.

  • Yeah, this place is was always so gnarly.

  • This Guadalupe market on the corner video store?

  • Yes.

  • Uh, the Kingston family used to get formal tape from that.

  • I don't think so, but yeah, sure.

  • Why not?

  • When my mom and I first moved here.

  • So Long Beach.

  • We lived right here at 14.

  • 44.

  • And it's for rent right now.

  • Yeah, as it should be.

  • Okay.

  • First and only time I got in a fight was right here.

  • I got in a fight.

  • I'm happy to tell you.

  • I am one and Oh, nice.

  • I am one and Oh, God, I've got him by the arm.

  • I freaking I got him like a wrestler tricking him around.

  • He hit the floor, I jumped on top of bomb.

  • That was kill.

  • Kill, kill, kill.

  • That's how I remember.

  • Okay, Okay.

  • Okay, We're here.

  • You might want to have your guys take the take The GoPro's out while we're in there.

  • Yeah.

  • You want some wine here?

  • Oh, snap.

  • It's about to go down.

  • All right.

  • I need to hang out with you more because I hang out with you.

  • They label label the food.

  • I got invited to something I don't like, right?

  • Yeah, look at that.

  • They live with the way we are tackled.

  • Local number three.

  • We have Ah, nice, great spread.

  • We have all passed.

  • Or do we have Gucci You better tell him.

  • Abou she is Monica.

  • That's booty right here.

  • Right in this area.

  • Softer, Garris.

  • Esophagus.

  • People are looking at me like you said.

  • That sounds like fear factor.

  • Food way.

  • Have some quesadillas.

  • And then your favorite of bean and cheese burrito with sour cream like a general in.

  • All right, dude.

  • Well, I'm not gonna make you hold out anymore.

  • Look at this.

  • Let's dive in cheese custody.

  • Yeah.

  • Cheers.

  • Oh, yeah.

  • This is like the appetizer.

  • This is original Mexican appetizer.

  • Right here.

  • Right before you get things started.

  • You know, people ask me, what is your favorite food?

  • Favorite thing to eat in life.

  • You know cheesecake.

  • Yeah, very simple.

  • The amazing thing about the tacos here is they make the handmade the theater.

  • It just is different.

  • It slaps different.

  • You know, Not not those out of the bag.

  • No, these are not out of the bag.

  • This is some little old lady showed up here for a M.

  • Rolled it, though I grew up coming to spots like this.

  • This spot in particular, you know, like like look over here.

  • That the original back in the day, that was That was our Nintendo.

  • That was our Sega.

  • That was our X box.

  • What do you think of your opinion?

  • Kind of like makes like a good taco spot.

  • First things, first of all, the artwork, the moral of the murals on the wall right there in the corner.

  • That's how my mom met my dad with the last mom.

  • That's how my mom got my dad.

  • You look, you look horny.

  • I get it, You look And she got him with a lasso for her.

  • And then this is a typical Mexican house that we all wanted.

  • Well, one of that house, we don't care.

  • That was pink.

  • What about that House?

  • Appeals toe our culture for the fountain The Mexicans love founds.

  • What is it with love?

  • Founds will have found that you put money and we love fountain drinks.

  • I got my house first thing I wanted us.

  • I want a big fight in the front.

  • No one else in the neighborhood has a fountain in front of the house is gonna look weird.

  • Like that's their fault.

  • They don't want a ball.

  • Right?

  • So this is like a big staple in our community here, tackle.

  • Look, this is not like a foodie bullshit fire where people are lined up out the door.

  • If you see a crowd out here because shit went down, there's a fight or 17.

  • Why do you think foodies don't come to the spots like this?

  • Like safety?

  • Same thing.

  • I want to get their ass.

  • Little What happened?

  • I great tacos, man.

  • Somebody stole my car.

  • And, uh, that's kind of a good restaurant, too.

  • If you're willing to sacrifice the car, like, you know, you know, it's 50 50 when you leave that car.

  • It might not be there, but that's how good the food is that you're willing to risk it.

  • And then you got your order and you're hitting the button to make sure you're still okay for just letting people know that I have.

  • Yeah.

  • Make me tell him you come up here as a kid, you'd ride your bike to hear you play pool next door.

  • Yeah.

  • I used to ride my bike here, and this was the deal.

  • My dad was a gardener.

  • I used to work with him Fridays Saturdays.

  • You know how most kids would get excited when they get taken out of school early I get to go home.

  • I hated it.

  • I'm like I'm going to work because you know what it meant.

  • I knew what it meant, but the deal was that I can come here.

  • They used to have the outpost or top right out front.

  • We stop buying, I can order as many as I could eat.

  • And I would like to swing for the fences and that was like my big reward.

  • I go home shower, but this place was like a big part of my upbringing.

  • I would say when you think of long these two people come to mind.

  • It's God who put Long Beach on the map for for music.

  • And you and the comedy where you put Long Beach on the map.

  • I love this town.

  • This is always been home to me.

  • I mean, I was born in San Diego.

  • People think I'm from El Paso.

  • They think I'm Hawaiian.

  • They think I'm from Chicago.

  • I moved out for a couple years just to see what it was like came right back.

  • You and Snoop are our friends.

  • I take it right.

  • If I see snoop, we say Hi, we're hanging out of the time.

  • I don't wanna be like, Yeah, that's Super Bowl.

  • Well, together Time, you guys.

  • I don't wanna be phony about it.

  • I mean, we're cool.

  • He had me on the show because of him.

  • I'm missing a whole day from my life.

  • I have no recollection of Really What?

  • Hell?

  • Because what he smokes is what he smoked.

  • I call his weed.

  • Snoop Suite is ah, men in black weed.

  • Okay, remember, the movie was in black with a little pain together with a friend.

  • You just like that and they can program you.

  • That's what his weed does.

  • Theo.

  • One of the things I really respect to about you coming up as a comic and at this great place where your annual career is that, you know, you never forgot your roots, you know, and you didn't have to drive anything down like you never shied away from where you were as a Mexican American.

  • But when people regard you, it's not a Latino comic.

  • It's a comic.

  • It's like by being funny and being a comic and not being kind of original.

  • Was that tough for you coming up?

  • Always.

  • Still, you know, it's still thing really people are.

  • They always want to put a label on you.

  • Right?

  • But I think at the end of the day, I'm at a point now where I you know, I gotta prove it more to myself than anything.

  • My chair.

  • Shit.

  • You know that stages I've given up and sacrificed everything.

  • I've sacrificed relationships of health, uh, free time, privacy.

  • I mean, you name it.

  • It's all been given up for the sake of that stage.

  • Yeah, the dream is a is an expensive one.

  • And people don't really know what that price tag and tells.

  • You know, what advice would you have for, you know, standing out in the comedy world?

  • It's not always what you say.

  • It's what you don't.

  • That's why in my show, I don't talk about politics because you immediately divide the audience.

  • I don't talk about religion because people are very sensitive about that.

  • So leave it out.

  • I don't talk about sports because raider fans or motherfuckers.

  • Hey, Hey, you know if you know, you know.

  • So I have an opinion.

  • Absolutely.

  • I tell people you want to hear it from your shot by mi five.

  • I hear some shit, right?

  • Very political in a non political kind of political manner.

  • No, I just want to say thank you so much for your time.

  • I do.

  • You fed me, bro.

  • Yeah, you're like I can't believe we did the show.

  • I'm, like, back.

  • Believe I got two kids.

  • Yeah.

  • No, this is great.

  • I thank you for the inspiration and thank you for everything you do, man.

  • Thank you, bro.

  • Yes, sir.

  • Smell your finger.

  • Now I hate that cheese and a little bit.

  • Miss me Tackles on Total.

  • That's tacos with everything.

  • If you don't speak Spanish to ogle at shit people by radical or this shit's good.

  • Hey, what's going on?

  • Everybody for first we feast.

  • I'm Sean Evans and you're watching hot ones.

  • It's the show with questions and even hotter tacos.

  • Tacos row!

  • Hey, Soos Trejo is in the building.

  • Tacos con Toto, A new show On first we feast Tuesdays at 11 a.m. This is the initiation.

  • A last dab taco.
