16 60 Super.

I can't even say that with a straight face.

Bear with me guys, this is gonna be a little bit salty and a little bit Rantie Not about so much of the performance, but just the ideology of what's happening right now.

This freaking year when it comes to graphics cards, okay, we'll talk about some high level stuff with 16 60 Super, the 16 50 super that's coming out.

The extremely confusing and crowded product stacked download and video where they just doubled down on the amount of stupidity when it comes to products, cues.

And we'll do our best toe make heads or tails of this so that you, as a consumer can trying to determine what it is you want to buy.

So the 16 60 super is the exact same coup decor, the exact same touring architecture, same everything as the non super It's got less could accords in the 16 60 t i, but exactly the same as the 16 60.

What's different about it is affected has eight gigabytes of GDR six or 60 and the tea I both have GDR five.

Yeah, you heard me right.

The card that's new, that stacks right in between.

Both of them has faster, newer memory than the cards that are already existing.

You've got 16 50 with Gina Tr 5 16 50 Super with GDR six the 16.

60 with GDR five the 16 16 Super with GDR six and the 16.

60 t I with GDR five.

You know, you know why it counts to five.

So you can more easily do this.

Okay, Before we get into the rant, let me just go out and show you guys the benchmarks because, I mean, at the end of the day, that's what people care about.

They care about the performance.

Well, it stacks up right between a 16 60 and a 60 t i, as you might expect.

So here the benchmarks we included also an M S I.

R x 5 98 gigabyte armor card.

Even I don't think they make that card anymore.

But I digress.

It's pretty indicative of a 5 90 performance because this card, although advertised as being the ultimate 14 40 p gaming card, I still think it's ah, it's a great card and price point is correct for a 10 80 p gaming experience for higher than 60 f.

But we also compared it like I said against the 50 the 60 super obviously the T I and the 5 90 in the non ti ie the 60 60 90.

Because we need to see where it stacks up.

Because the pricing on this is really interesting.

The pricing down there is really scrunched up, so it's kind of like you can spend $20 here, $10.

There are $5 there, $30 completely change your experience because of how crowded it is down there.

We also would have loved to have showed the new AMG stuff the 5500 Siri's or whatever it's called, um, at the risk of sounding like were aligning exactly with that bogus article on tech power up about video, saying you should only test these cards against aim these older cards 5 95 80 That's all there is that exist right now at this time point.

So until the new cards come out from a M D will then take the benchmarks you've done today and then add a and B cards.

This is the best we can do.

We don't compare it to a 57 157 160 because those are nearly double the price.

So anyway, without further ado here, the benchmarks on five game titles that we chose just to validate where it stacks up in between, it's not the full gamut of benchmarks we normally do.

It's not all the synthetics and stuff because we just need to validate and sanity check exactly where it falls in because where it falls in on performance is not where it falls in on price.

OK, so clearly, if you look at the pricing chart, some companies didn't get the memo that there's a new card coming out because you're gonna find 16 60 cards that air the same price, if not more expensive than there much faster super brethren now.

So our pricing that we showed on this right now this was new egg.

And so it's one of those things where it's gonna take time.

I think, for venders update their pricing accordingly.

But you know how I feel bad for on all of this.

I feel bad for the board partners because they have no choice but to go along with this in video b s when it comes to completely crowding this product's check when you're in a I B or add inboard partner.

You've got not only the skew from in video the 16 60 super you've got your other skews the SC SC ultras, your black additions and all this other stuff.

Now, how many of those air gonna exist is up to the i B.

But you then have to compete with all the other brands and stuff that are out there doing the same thing.

And if you've got a card that you know, a slightly better like in this case here, it's gotta back plate, you know, it's the cooler is designed, not fan of this, the cement looking gray.

But whatever that's aesthetic, that's subjective.

But if you've got a card, you know that this is a slightly over clocked out of box card.

We'll talk about the issue with that in this review sample.

Not this sample, but this review cycle in a moment.

But you're gonna charge five or $10 more for the card that you've spent five or $10 more putting parts on our developing or whatever that profit margin has to be.

So you've got now crowded product stack from the parent company, creating an even more crowded product stacked when you have now three or four skews in this range, have to compete with the other three or four excuse for the other five skews that exist in this stupid price range.

So that's what I mean when I talk about the video doubling down on the confusion this A couple years ago, when Pascal came out and they had the 10 66 gig, which was a friend, not a phenomenal card pretending to Pete Gaming.

Then they came out with the 10 63 gig, which I said was shady and a lot of us did because they called it a 10 60.

But it had shaved Cuda cores and less memory and video is like, Oh, yeah, you think that's bad?

We'll show you just how much we can double down on confusion and dumb product lines are proxies because, in my opinion, this card should have end of life to the 16 60.

The 16 50 super should be end of life ing the 16 50 but in video has no plans to do that.

When we were on the on the tech call for the launch embargo meeting blob of Law on this card, it was asked, Will this be replacing the tea I or the 60?

Or will this just be the new 60 skew with those other ones gone or what?

And they said, at this time there are no plans to end of life the 16 50 of the 16 60.

That's why you have five Scuse down at this price point so that you can just try and crowd the market.

Now.

Why the crowd in the market?

The only thing I mentioned a minute ago.

The 5500 We've already seen that the 5700 and 5700 x t at the same price point beat the NVIDIA cards for straight up raw gaming performance.

All those other stupid features aside on both a m d and in video and Zola and and all this other, like the image sharpening and on a M d.

And then video said that was dumb.

And now they're doing it to it.

All that other stuff Correct me if I'm wrong and sound off on the comments below is that no one video is gonna call me out on this.

I don't think gamers give a shit about that crap.

I don't think gamers out there buying a car going on.

You know, this one's got Angela, and this one's got G force experience.

They just want a freaking though, how many F.

P s they're going to get.

So if that is the metric which you're basing your purchases on, it showed already with the 2070 and the 2060 super and all that that the 5760 in the 5700 were better values.

And I think in video knows that.

Which is why now, with this card competing down at the entry level price point of around $200 which is like, according to the steam, um, you know, product, the amount of deep use and resolutions are out there aimed in a video.

Both know most gamers are at 10 80 p, so that's a very strong price.

$800.200 cards.

You sell way more of these and you're gonna sell 20 eighties and 20 T eyes, so they know this is where they want shoppers to buy.

But I have a hunch that at the 5700 Siri's and for exceeding the 5500 Siri's comes out swinging and beats the's in terms of that raw performance number, A M D.

Is gonna have a best seller on their hands because I think buyers are gonna be looking at all these this crap on the shelves or an Amazon or whatever.

And they're going to just get so confused they're gonna go to their phones, they're gonna look it up, and they're just going to see 16 60 vs 5500 and they're going to see hypothetically the 5500 beating.

It's because a nd now has time to adjust because in videos, cards, air now, entirely shown where I think they're just going to go buy a nd I honestly think that.

And I think in video is banking on all the extra features and stuff in these cards that again, this touring architecture doesn't have any of the Arctic stuff, which is what was always easy to say with the 700.

Well, we've got d X R and Ray tracing and tense or chorizo know exist here, so that's not gonna hold up.

If I sound salty, it's because this should have replaced the current sixties model both of them, in my opinion, if in video, wanted to earn the trust of gamers and they wanted to show people that they're not just a company that's green with greed, but also for the gamer.

They're making enough profit on these cards now.

And touring has been out long enough to where they could have showed loyalty to the consumer by simply end of life in the 60 and the t I or just replacing the tea I with the super card and end of life in the 60 and then just reduced the price.

That's all they had to do with 16 60 super existing between the T I and the non super just shows.

Um, I don't know what it shows.

To be honest, I really have a hard time making heads or tails out of this card and why it exists now.

The other problem with this particular launches its the first time that I've been working with in video where they sent us partner cards aimed Eve does it all the time because A M D doesn't really have Founder's edition cards and stuff for their whole product line up like they did like a video does like with five nineties and all that sort of stuff, and so partner cards or what was always sent.

The problem is, like I said earlier, with all the different skews within the partner cards, this is an SC ultra from E V G.

It's an MSRP Pekhart don't it's It is the retail price, the manufacturer's suggested retail price, which makes it a very valid test.

But technically it's over clocked version versus the reference design for the 16 60 Super.

The problem is all those core clocks, You're going to see people out there testing M s I IV e g a a Seuss.

I'm not sure what other gigabyte So you're going to see it all these variant cards out there and they're all gonna have different boost clocks in all these different behaviors because each brand has its own design in there.

So you're gonna probably see what this review, too, that it's all over the place versus what everyone else was saying and doing.

But I guess that the end of the day all you need to know is that it's another card that exists at a place where it doesn't truly need to.

So you guys could tell me if you think I'm off base.

Always seems to be the case.

Um, but that's besides the point.

Um, that's my opinion on the card.

Performs very well.

Eternity.

It's very capable of 14 40.

We also may say so.

The other ones.

I just wish this could have been This could have been the hero card, but instead, it looks like the greed card feel bad.

For, like I said, the d a and the M A size and the gigabytes because they have no choice but to manufacture these cards.

It's it's they're they're bored partners.

It's like it's like being a Ford dealer and saying, You know what?

We're not We're just not going to carry the Explorer.

We're just not gonna carry that for you.

I'm gonna let you get away with that video.
